Transcript: Wednesday Prayer Meeting at Brighter Day Baptist Church

Welcome to BrighterDayBaptistChurch.com and BrighterDayBaptistChurch.org. We welcome you to the first time that I'm going to close this real quick. Just give me a minute that way. All right. Now, today we are doing a prayer meeting and also bringing up everybody on what is going on in our both our churches that we built online. we welcome everybody that is here and I'll let dad here speak for a little bit and then we can switch back and forth and let you know what is definitely going on it is fabulous what is taking place as far as the people that is coming on and receiving the gospel around the world go ahead dad well thank you Eric it is good to be with you for the first time on the same screen. And we hope we have a lot of people who are joining in. And I think that if they want to comment, they can do that. Is that correct? They can chat or send you a message or whatever. I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. So we, as Eric said, we welcome you to brighterdaybaptistchurch.com. And then our newest church, brighterdaybaptistchurch.org. And it is this, what God has done. I don't remember we could look back and see I don't remember exactly when brighterdaybaptistchurch.com we went live with it but it's might have been a year I don't know how long it's I don't know we could look back but I can I'm going to say to you it is amazing because and again I don't think that I'm stupid when I say I don't know how many channels we're on because it changes. It's just going up and up. We're on most of the social, you know, like Facebook, YouTube. Certainly we're on YouTube. Twitter I don't know how many different Facebook pages we're on and podcasts I'm thinking that that we're probably on more than a hundred channels it's the only thing I can say It is the mighty hand of God that has brought all this about. And let me just give you a little bit of background. The first time that we had any dealings with a website, and it wasn't a church website, was in 2004. our first born son Fred Jr. built that website we sat up all night he built it and I didn't know anything about it building one I still don't but I said you build it and I will promote it and we it was called tellingthestory.com and we had we kept it up and kept it active for about 17 and a half years. And we reached, and I don't say this boasting, I say in all things, to God be the glory. During that 17 and a half years, I think we probably reached 40 million people because we pretty much know how many visitors we have, where they come from, what system they use, how long they stayed on, how many pages they visited. And so, and it just grows and grows and grows and grows. And I have said it, I'm going to say it again. I think that we are the first generation ever that has the technical ability to reach the entire world with the gospel. You know, the last thing that Jesus Christ said before he went back to heaven on a cloud, The last thing that he said was, go ye or you go. You go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. And we know that we can go into all the world, especially with Internet. And now with satellites that have Internet. and there basically is not, I don't think there's any place maybe that if you have the Internet, it's available there through, you know, with satellites. Used to, you had to have a tower and then another tower and so on and on and on. But with satellites, they're up so high as there's not much that can block out that signal. So we are, I think, the first generation that has the potential to take the gospel, as Jesus Christ said over 2000 years ago. When he said, you go into all the world and preach the gospel. And that's what we do. we do a lot of things but primarily we preach the gospel we teach Eric sings we have a lot of good singing Eric's a fabulous singer he preaches I've been preaching since 1962 seen a lot of changes didn't even have the internet back then I don't know if it had ever been even heard of. I don't know. But I know we didn't have it. I don't think anyone had it. But through this technology, and God has put it on us to use it. Why not? We have, it's available. I'm here. It's amazing. I'm here in this studio. And Eric is in another state, way on up the road. In his studio, we're looking at one another. We're communicating, and I hope we're communicating to a lot of people. But God has given us this ability. And not only Eric, but Stanley, I said, Fred Jr., he built the first website. He's our engineer, keeps things going and helps out tremendously. And we have the backing and support of all of our families. I thank God for that. That's so very important. But we're just going to let you know that we have preaching every Sunday. We normally have it at 11 o'clock. and a lot of this, you might say all of it, goes back to COVID when you couldn't get out and go to church. You couldn't, if you went anywhere, you had to have a mask on. So, and a lot of churches stream their services and we do it different because we are a virtual church. That means we're a church, but we don't have a building where people meet. You don't have to drive. You can sit right there and watch it on your computer. You can watch it on television, YouTube. So God has given us this opportunity. And we say to God be the glory. I don't want anyone to die and go to hell because there is no words we don't have the words of how terrible how awful that hell is and we know about God called me before I was ever born to preach the gospel and who knows listen let me just give you this God does not tell everything that he knows. And of course, Satan, the devil, that old serpent, our motto is never trust a snake. Never trust a snake. Never trust a snake. That evil, lowlife, slimy reprobate of the devil. He's the one that came in to the Garden of Eden. And when you're sick, you blame it on the snake. When things, all kinds of problems, blame it on the snake. Blame it on him. It's him. He's the one. And if for no other reason, we're going to present the gospel. We're going to preach the gospel. We're going to tell people that they're sinners because they're born sinners. And, of course, the blood of Jesus Christ takes care of everyone until they reach that age of accountability. What is it? I don't know. I think it's different and different people. But we know that we're covered by the blood until we reach that age. And then it's up to us. It's up to us. Stanley, our oldest son, told me today, he said, Dad, I don't know if I had a dream. I don't know why that I even thought about this. But he said, you know, the only thing that we can take with us when we die is our destination. we determine our destination we determine where we're going let me say I didn intend Eric I get off here in a minute I didn intend to say all this But listen there no one sleeping in a grave No. You go wherever you're going. The very nano of a second that when you die, you go wherever you're going. If you're not a born-again Christian, you go to hell. And if you are a born-again Christian, you go to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. And I believe that when we leave this world as a Christian, we're escorted by angels into the presence of God. So, but think about that. The only thing that you can take with you is your destination. So feel free to contact Eric's control and everything on his end. So let's begin in prayer and we can start on to the other end here of it. Dear Heavenly Father, we just thank you so much, Lord, for all our listeners tonight. Lord, we just pray for my brother Chuck and his church out there. Lord, we just thank you out in Ohio. I think it's where it's at. And we just ask you, Lord, to bless Chuck and all he's doing on telling the word of Jesus. Thank you, Chuck, for putting out the gospel on there. And thank you for helping us out. Dear Heavenly Father, we just ask you, Lord, to bless all our families that is coming on here and joining tonight to watch us, Lord. We ask you, Lord, for your blessings and your hand of protection upon them. and just please bless them for the rest of me this week and until they go back into their churches. We ask you, Lord, for our nation, Lord. We ask you, Lord, please, Lord, just turn our nation around for you, Lord. We need a nation on knees for God, and we ask you, Lord, for that also, Lord. And I thank you for my dad, and we just thank you so much for this Wednesday night prayer meeting. please if anybody needs to post anything I'm not receiving anything on here but please I just pray Lord if they need anything please contact us and we'll pray for them thank you so much for this time so yes we are definitely all over the world I seen the other night me and my dad was just floored I believe it's only been three months so far on brighterdaybaptistchurch.org and we've seen almost it's going I think we may hit two million people and I want everybody who's listening please pray for our ministry so it will grow more and touch lives that's what our goal is to pray to help us reach as many people across this world for Jesus Christ. That is our goal. Yeah. And, Dad, what was your thing about China you said you would like to see? Yeah, I've had a burden for China, communist China, because those people, I think the population of mainland China, I know it's over one billion, spelled with a B, but the Chinese Communist Party, communism does not believe in God. They say there is no God. but of course we know that they're going to find out be too late once they find out but they are very oppressive Zai Jing I think is the premier of communist China he has waged terrible things against the church If it's a state-approved church, it's not that big of a deal. But I've kept up with it and studied it quite a bit. The one thing that Xi Jinping, whatever his name is, Xi, X-I, the one thing more than anything else that they hate is the fact that we preach, we as Christians preach and know that Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead on the third day. They cannot handle that. And Premier Xi, or President Xi, like I say, I keep up with it, had ordered that in every church, his picture, you hang it in a prominent place, and somehow you put a caption, this is God. No, he's not God. No, he's not. He's an atheist. He's a reprobate. He's a lowlife. oh and the lives and people who refuse to quit preaching the gospel and quit being in church they're put into slave camps the the terribleness but I'm here to say I do have a I have a burden for the people of China. Have I been to China? No, I've been there pretty close when I was in the military. I think it was, I remember we were standing, I was in Okinawa, not in the war, it was the Cold War. And here's the China Sea, South China, no, I forget now, But there was a sea and someone spoke up and said, you know, by fighter jet in 20 minutes, they can be here where we are. So I know I know where it's at. And I just have a. My heart goes out to these people. And Eric has come up with and developed a, well, I think maybe, was it a logo or something, Eric? Yeah, what I came up with is a world national language, which is, it's all translated. It's got Chinese into John 3.16. It's also got scriptures where they can go on there and read the Bible. Yeah. But the logo is all the flags around the world, and it's got a world symbol with a white cross. Yeah. Representing, sharing the gospel basically around the world. And it's going to be, it's all in their language, what it is. That's fantastic. and people can come on there and read it in their own language. It translates it. I don't know. I'm not a real technical person. I know about computers because we used to build our own computers. that's way back we'd go to Charlotte they called it the ham fest it had nothing to do with ham and eggs it was a ham radio but it quickly became it was taken over more by computers and we would buy the components bring it home and build a computer and they had dial up internet which you could say I was going to send Eric a message you could go eat eat your meal and watch a two-hour show before it got there I mean you could just about walk but that's how slow that it was but see God keeps putting this out and putting it out and it comes from God and people say well why do you use internet why not Satan uses it every way in the world we're going to use it God has put it in our heart to use this and we are using it we thank God that we have the message of hope we have the message of hope and we we've recently started a series of sermons on revival we need revival this is a revival is for Christians and we're seeing many many churches just close up go out of business and we need we need a revival and revival is for Christians who have fainted you know and well they put some smelling salts under your nose and and you revive back up and that smell and salts I guess would be we preach the gospel yep and you say well they're Christians yes they are born-again Christians but they've backslid they've grown cold they've lost the desire the zeal plus we need a revival in the pulpit we do we definitely need a A revival in the pulpit. Whatever God called man. And people say, well, a lot of people down through the years have asked me this question. How would I know? I think God called me to preach. How would I know? And I remember when I was a young preacher we would ask the older preachers and they came up with an answer If you can do anything else and be happy then God didn call you to preach But if that is in here and it never leaves, because speaking of the calling from God, he says that it's a calling without repentance. God will not change his mind. He calls whoever he calls to preach. I wasn't wanting to be a preacher at all. But God done the calling. God is the one that's in control. And we need a revival in the pulpit. Preachers, pastors that will stand and proclaim. thus saith the Lord whether you like it or don't like it we need preachers that will preach the gospel and then give an invitation oh it makes me sick when I think about it and if you will although yeah this past Sunday I preached on this and it's I've heard quite a few pastors down through the years well you know I just preach evangelistic maybe once every six weeks that means they're supposed to be preaching the gospel. And I might give an invitation once every six weeks, and I might not. Well, then, what are you doing? You preach the gospel, you're challenging people to say, hey, choose you this day whom you will serve. And then to ask the question, why will you die when you can live? and then say, well, I'm not going to give an invitation. Then get out of the pulpit, as I said Sunday. Go get a job picking cotton or something and get on out. Let somebody else that will stand and preach the gospel and give an invitation. My Lord, that just rubs me so wrong. you're dealing with eternal things folks only two places only two destinations and you're going to take one of them with you either hell or heaven and once once you leave here that destination can never be changed you go to hell you ain't never never never gonna get out you'll never get out let me share a little I like to give personal illustrations something that I know happened to me I'll share this back quite a few years back I was taking pilot training and I did learn to fly a plane, but I remember I was in Hickory, at Hickory International Airport. They have all different kinds of radio channels in a plane. I don't care what size the plane is. You got to have all these navigational aids and everything anymore, And there's something called UNICOM, U-N-I-C-O-N. And almost every airport has what they call a fixed base operator, FBO. And on the outside, they have a radio, UNICOM. And people can call in. But anyhow, there was a man up in the plane. he had apparently had solo because he was up by himself and he was screaming on this unicom hey somebody come up here and help me you could hear the panic in his voice get me down hey somebody come up here there's four or five of us men standing around and I'm sure he was a seasoned pilot But, of course, the man up there, speaking back to him, he just said, Too late now. You're up there. You're going to get down. It's a matter of, you know, it's too late. You're going to panic. You should have never went up. And you should think about this. When you're in hell and screaming, screaming, Oh, somebody come down here and get me out of hell. It's too late. It's too late. You are never, never, never, ever going to get out. It's too late. And how can we, who God has called and ordained and opened up all these doors, God have mercy upon us help us never ever to get slack but to ever always increase the intensity of the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ think about it Eric yeah sorry about me waving my hand my wife was coming in and I know we're alive and I just didn't want us to be disturbed Uh, but yes, you know, I think, uh, our time right now, uh, far as preaching the gospel is critical. You know, uh, Satan is out there devouring people left and right. I know several people, uh, I got a coworker right now has a very bad gambling problem. And I keep praying for him that, you know, he would get, you know, that would change for him and he would come out of that. But everybody has a weight across to Barry, you know. But, you know, if we confess to God, you know, and to get on our knees and ask God to help us each day, you know. You know, it says in the Bible to confess and, you know, God to help us with our temptations, you know, and so we can walk in his righteousness. I believe if we get together like we're doing right now and come together on the Wednesday night, Sunday night, Sunday service and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, we might be able to turn things around for stronger for Jesus Christ. Christ we we actually problem is we've laid laid down and just let the world I I personally think that it just like it just comes in and Satan says hi I got you now you ain't go nowhere like that's wrong because Jesus Christ says uh in us is stronger than the ones in this earth that's right that's what we got to look at the one that lives in us is stronger than the one in this earth. Yep. And as far as I am concerned, BrighterDayBaptistChurch.com and BrighterDayBaptistChurch.org and all the other sites that's linked in with us, our mission is to share the gospel around this world. Yeah. Eric, while it's on my mind, I'm going to ask you to tell everybody that's listening about our two radio stations. Okay, yes, we have two radio stations right now that's going full blast. It's all the time, seven days a week. You can come on there. And that is WFSP-FM and WFSP-AM radio station. and they're both on Zeno. And if you have a phone, which most people do, you can go to the Safari if it's an iPhone, or if it's an Android, you can go to Google Play and get the app, Zeno app, and install that on to your phone, and you can be able to listen to us all the time on both of those radio stations. Yeah. That's, you know, I worked part-time in gospel radio. I was taking a course at Western Piedmont Community College down in Burke County. I studied speech and communication. and one of the one the class we didn't know anything about it but the instructor had set it up to where we would go over to the radio station which was live and each one of us who were students would have a change to sit down and say something over the radio and so we all said something and to me I don't say it boasting but I thought it was just great and at the end of the clash the man that was over all the gospel part of that those two radio stations asked And he said, would you be interested in working for us part time? So anyhow, I worked part time in seven radio stations and preached on seven radio stations in North Carolina and in the state of West Virginia. And so we have a WFSP. You know, let me just say this. Everything east of the Mississippi River, if it's a TV station, radio station, the letter W, and you learn it's not W, it's W, W-F-S-P. and everything past or west of the Mississippi River starts with K, K-N-O-X, but WFSP is, we had the privilege of giving these call letters W Fred Stanley Proctor WFSP FM and WFSP AM so you see God is just there just not a day goes by but what we get more and more opportunities and, and it's, Hey, come over here and do this. Come over here and do this. Come over here and do this. I've had three or four different emails from someone wanting us to go on and start going on television. But I don't really look for that because it's somewhat expensive. And let me say this to you. Both of these radio stations, they don't cost us one penny. it's made available free of charge and what kind of a person what kind of a Christian would we be if we would say well I don't want to be bothered with that listen there's people all over the world that need the gospel there's people all over the world that need to hear the gospel I'm going to put this in before I forget it I've used it because it's so right down town so to speak it's a good illustration I told it I went to Bible college and physical went to Bible college and then I spent eight years online going to three different Bible colleges and I remember one of my professors was telling about he had taken a vacation and he went to New Mexico and I remember saying yeah I've been to New Mexico and I was glad when I got out of there because there's nothing but you can see. The old saying is, on a clear day, you can see 100 miles. But anyhow, he went to New Mexico, and he went to Carlsbad Caverns. Most of you have heard about that. But he went there on vacation and got with a group there, and I'm sure it had to be an elevator because he said they went straight down 750 feet. 750 feet straight down. And, of course, when you get down that far down in the ground, And that's a natural, like Glenville Caverns up in McDowell County. But, I mean, it's a huge. Carlsbad is a huge cavern. So the guide got everybody and told them it was fixed to where you couldn't just plunge off. They had it fenced in. And he said, okay, everybody get back over here against the wall. you know, this literal rock wall, because we're going to turn the lights off in Carlsbad Caverns. And said, they'll only be off for two to three minutes. So he said, everybody, you ready? They turned the lights off. And the professor said, within about five seconds, people began to scream, Turn them on! Turn the lights back on! Oh, God! He said, I cannot explain it. But the darkness was so thick that you could feel it. And people were screaming, Turn the lights back on. So they turned them back on. And the guide told the group, He said, we know this for a fact, that you can take an adult, not a child, but a grown person, put him right here where he said, you're standing. Turn the lights off for seven days and whoever that person is will be totally insane. They'll be crazy as a shocked cat. now just think the Bible tells us a whole lot about hell as a matter of fact Jesus in his earthly ministry which was about three and a half years he preached more about hell than he did heaven because he didn't want anybody to go to hell hell was created for the devil and his angels but man sinned And therefore, see, the devil even got into the phone when I'm trying to tell something. Oh, all right. He said, if you put a person here and turn the lights off and leave them here seven days, they're totally crazy. Well, the Bible says that we don't understand this, that there is fire and brimstone in hell, but yet it's total darkness. And it goes back to what I'm saying. And you say, well, Fred, you just get carried away. Listen, if something like hell does not move you, then you're already dead, surely. Think about that. I can't. I've said it, and it gets worse all the time. Because the Bible said it's fire and brimstone, and brimstone is sulfur. And sulfur will burn, but it gets right here, and you can't get any breath. And I have a real problem when I'm even telling about it. Surely to goodness. You don't want to go down there when Jesus has already paid the sin debt. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. And then God asks the question, why will you die when you can live? Oh, my. Listen. Hell. Our minds, my mind cannot understand eternity. That you'll never get out. You never will get out. Never, never, never get out. And you know something? Your only one heart beat away. If you have never asked Jesus Christ to come into your life and save your soul, you just one heartbeat that quick, then you're in hell. You're in hell. My, my. He's made it so simple that a child can understand it. I hope that you catch the compassion that we have. tell people tell people you don't have to die and go to hell Jesus paid it all Eric yep that's for sure well I hope this time has been a blessing to you and all the other people all the people that's been on here we're going to do this again I think it's a blessing that we can get together me and dad and come to you and share with you and y'all. There is going to be some changes as we move forward. There'll probably be some new content, new videos. Dad just got out. We just got some new business cards. We're going to be putting out in different places to promote. I believe right now is the time for Christians not to be silent. right now is the time for Christians to promote the gospel. And if we have breath in our lungs and we have Jesus Christ living in our soul, we need to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Sure. Amen. Yep. I want to say hello to a lot of good friends. you know if you just will be obedient to the Holy Spirit he will just guide you and in the doors that are open and you'll meet people. Jamie Dickerson who's a good friend of ours from down in Burke County in North Carolina he is truly a blessing to me and all the folks there at the Christian thrift store where they work and operate. And Jamie preaches, I think he said, I think it's every Tuesday or every, anyhow, it's one of the nights. And they're dealing with people who have had a real problem with addiction, you know, drugs and this fentanyl. my Lord one let's say something even half the size of your small fingernail little kitty and drugs and alcohol and illicit sex and every ungodly evil thing so pray for these folks they're doing a great work they love the Lord and we just we have a lot of people and say to everyone to everyone of you hello it's good to see you I pray God's blessings be upon you Eric you close it out I just want to take this time and just say thank you all for coming on Wednesday night prayer meeting please pray for our nation please keep me and dad in prayer as we continue on spreading the gospel because Satan does want to attack those that want to spread the gospel and we just want to take this time to say thank you for joining us and we'll close in prayer dear heavenly father we just thank you so much for this time Lord that we can share Lord the gospel be with our friends online Lord and new ones that's coming on And we just thank you so much for the church that's growing, Lord. And we just ask you, Lord, for your blessings. And we just thank you, Lord, for the ones that's praying for this service right now.
