Transcript: Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting at Brighter Day Baptist Church

Baptist Church prayer meeting night. We are back again. We're going to be bringing up some names that's on the list. We are so happy that you can join us tonight. Me and Dad talked, and we had a great out showing for us being together. and so we want to continue on doing this for as far as we can to bring you updates and stuff that's going on within the church but also to bring a prayer request that's on our list now on brighterdaybaptistchurch.com and that will also soon be on brighterdaybaptistchurch.org gee uh go ahead dad okay well it's good to be back with you eric and uh like you said we did have a great time last week uh we certainly welcome everyone to uh roderday baptist church this is wednesday night prayer meeting and i have uh i have some names and i think eric giving it out if you you have a prior request Eric can tell you during the minute how to get your name put on it but please remember these these in prior these are people that are sick have problems Melvin and Judy Johnson Agnes Kent. He's about 97 in a nursing home. I know her and all of her family. Please pray for her. Special prayer request for one of my brothers, Travis Proctor. He's having some of that counseling can't run on his heart so please remember and pray for him also a lady miss case uh she is one of my daughter-in-law's mother miss case she's also in her 90s and she failed three or four times and broke bones but she's back home please pray for miss case Special prayer request for Randy Kent. He had a stroke three or four months ago and it didn't affect his memory as far as anything had happened before the stroke. His memory's good there, but from the stroke all up till now he doesn't remember anything. So please pray for Randy Kent and ask if it's God's will, he will cut Randy and restore his memory. Also for his wife, Jane Kemp. Praise for both of them. He gets retired and I guess getting rid of the wheel when he had this stroke. Also, Bridget. I do not know this person doesn't make any difference. This name was given to me, Bridget. So please pray for all of these. And there are many more people that are sick. Pray for everyone that's sick and afflicted. And we know that God can and does answer prayers. So I appreciate you praying for these folks. And back to Eric. just to let you know if you want to be put on the brighter day Baptist church prayer list I put up a thing on Facebook but if you did not receive it and if you didn't find it on the Facebook page it is brighterdaybaptistchurch.com at gmail.com that is our email you can send your prayer request there and you will be put on the list for prayer. We are so happy that you are here with us today and we want to pray for you. So if you are looking for, have a need or if you have an injury or if you know someone that needs prayer, please don't hesitate to put that on our email and we will definitely on the next prayer meeting night, we will pray for that person. Back to you, Dad. Well, we're going to pray in a minute, but I want to ask you to continue to pray for frotterdaybaptistchurch.com. You know, we just added a new virtual church, frotterdaybaptistchurch.org. and we are just amazed at how God is drawing people in. I don't have that right in front of me, but I know that for the month of July, it points to 2 million visitors. That's a month. Two million. We have been on line for 18 years. We had telling the story. We had it for 16 and a half years. And then we went with Browder Day Baptist Church. Eric is the webmaster on that. He builds the website, takes care of all of that, and I promote it. That's the way we've done it. But now for over 18 years, we have been sending out the gospel of Jesus Christ. That's the main purpose of what we are doing. You know the last thing that Jesus said before he went back to heaven on that cloud he said Go ye or you go. You go into all the world and preach the gospel to every preacher. That's the good news. The death, the burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. and I think that we are the first generation that can do that because now they have internet that comes off a satellite and you know I guess a line of sight and say something like a mountain that blocks you can't get it but it doesn't make any difference now that it's up I don't know how many miles up but anywhere in the world, anywhere in the world, people can hear the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. And we are so thankful. And I'm so overwhelmed at how God has just opened up more and more and more. And Eric continues. We have two radio stations that run all the time, operate all the time. you'll hear myself or Eric preaching, you'll hear Eric singing, or he'll put some different singers on there, and YouTube, and I don't know, I think all together we have about 100 channels, maybe more. And it just, it seems like every day something new opens up to where we can send out the gospel. the good news that Jesus saved. I thank God for that and we're going to pray and we're certainly going to pray that if you are watching this church service this prayer meeting service and you're not a Christian we're going to pray that you will accept Jesus Christ before we go off there. So let's pray. Heavenly Father, we bow before you this evening and we do come with the most thankful heart. We thank you, oh God, for all of your many, many wonderful blessings of life, more than we could ever keep a count of how you have blessed us you have given us life and health and healing and and and most of all that you have saved our soul from the pits of hell and we're we're born again by the blood the death the burial and the resurrection of jesus christ and i thank you so much for that for all these names that we have read off i pray for every one of them you know every situation lord you made us and i know that you can fix it i know that we are not lord you know that we're not one of these name it and claim it but we do bow and ask in the name of jesus is it your will that you will touch these people and heal them and raise them back up i know that you can all through the bible uh in your ministry you heal them and in some places said you healed everyone that was sick you have the power to do that and you tell us to call upon your name and we're calling lord we're interceding on behalf of these names people who have difficult situations sicknesses illnesses things lord that hinder them and they want to be set free and i'm humbly praying and asking in the name of jesus uh that's we're told to pray in the name of jesus it's not that i have any power i don't it's through the power of god the holy spirit but then we pray in the name of jesus for all of these every one of these uh names and lord we pray for all of your churches all the churches that are your churches i pray that they will humble themselves down before you all of us will and do what we're told to do in second chronicles chapter 7 verse 14 and the number one thing is to humble ourselves help us to humble ourselves before you oh god give us revival in america or we want to see america back we'll see we'll see all this ungodly mess that's going on killing and shooting and looting and robbing and hatred and violence and everything that's evil it is not of you it is of satan and help us oh god We want America back, and not only America, but for the whole world. Help us, oh God. Revive us again. I pray that you'll continue to mightily bless the Notre Dame church, everyone, the churches, the radio stations, everything. I pray a special prayer for Eric. Thank you for him. thank you for all of our family who helped us and supports us Lord we just take this time out and say thank you sir thank you in Jesus name I pray amen and amen so there going to be we going to be letting you know that Sunday of morning services we going to be still on the sermon Do It I know that Dad was mentioning that to you earlier, but we're going to be continuing on our series, Do It, because it's an imperative thing that Browder Day Church, on all formats, on all, brighterdaybaptistchurch.com, brighterdaybaptistchurch.org, and on the radio stations that we stand and preach the gospel so people can be saved. That's our goal. That's our goal. Yep. And we're happy that you're here tonight. And if you're lost tonight, we urge you to come to know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Go ahead, Dad. Let me give me a second. I want to I want to read some scriptures, verses of scripture that I have marked here. Well, I've got a whole lot of different stuff, but just bear with me for one second when you do live radio tv or whatever this is the way it is uh psalm 107 verse 30 then are they glad because they be quiet so he bringeth them unto their desired Psalm 65 verse 7. Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people. See a lot of just tumult of the people, I mean people in this big city, they're just killing one another, shooting left and right. And, uh, Satan, Satan is the one. Let me, let me, uh, put our little moth over in here. Never crush the snake. And you don't know what I'm talking about. So that's the Garden of Eden, and it was a snake. It was a serpent. So never crush the snake. now in the book of Luke chapter 8 I'm going to read three or four verses beginning with verse 1 and it came to pass afterwards that he went throughout every city and village preaching and showing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God and the twelve were with him verse 2 and certain women which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities. Who do you think healed them? Jesus Christ. And certain women which had been healed of evil spirits, people have demons, and infirmities, Mary, called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils. She was a true follower of Jesus, a born-again woman, But she had seven demons in her, and Jesus cast them out. And also, verse 3, And Joanna, the wife of Cusa, Herod, Stuart, and Susanna, and many others which ministered unto him of their sons. They prepared food. They had been born again. They were followers of Christ. And it was a big thing. They could prepare the food. Make sure he had water in him and his disciples and all the followers. So they were involved because they had been healed and they had been born again. He went out on a boat with his disciples and they came up a great storm and he was asleep because he had to have rest. He was God in the flesh. He was a man, but he was God and he got tired. So he had to have some rest. He went to sleep. And there came up a mighty storm. And it looked like the boat was going to sink. Because it said, and the water was coming in. And the boat was going down. And Jesus just, when they woke him up, he just took his hand up and said, peace be down. Isn't that something? We had a storm here today. today and uh so i thought of it i think of it every once in a while we have bad thunderstorms and it gets real dark and the wind blows and uh forping around you know in the rain and i thought about it what if i went out and put my hand up and said please be still not a thing would happen nothing will happen I'm not that stupid I'm just saying think about it but Jesus had the power over everything peace be still yes master immediately going with dogs going with the con when they got on another side I was a man. He had so many demons in him. He didn't even speak for himself. He had a speaker. Jesus said, what's your name? He knew who he was. They knew who Jesus was. Because they used to be in heaven And they got kicked out with Satan but they knew Jesus Jesus said what your name and he said legion for we are many I think a legion was in the Roman times is 144. So 144 demons, I think, could have been 144,000. I don't know. But he had all these demons and Jesus told them, come out, go to your place. You know where that place is? Hell. And they besought, one of them, the speaker besought Jesus and said, let us go into the hogs up here. Well, he permitted it and they went out, went into the hogs and they went crazy. Every one of them, the 4,000 I think, ran off of a steep place and into a lake. Every one of them drowned. The point is Jesus has the power over all things. Everything. keep me still yep oh my he had there was a woman she had she had an issue of blood she had a problem of hemorrhaging losing blood and the bible says that she had this I think for 12 years and she's been going to the doctor this is not a condemnation on doctors Jesus did not condemn doctors. I thank God for a godly doctor who go to college and spend their time and learn. And there are instruments of God. But this woman had went. She spent all that she had. Everything she had. And the Bible says that she's getting worse. and there was a huge multitude of people forming around Jesus, you know, and wanting to be healed and wanting to just touch Jesus, wanting to see Jesus. And this woman thought in her mind, if I could just touch the heel of his garment, and she did, and instantly, instantly, the issue of blood was healed. She was healed. Jesus stopped everybody and said hold it somebody touched me and one of the disciples I guess they might have had a little corny attitude what do you mean look at all these people because I mean that's not what I'm talking about somebody touched me touched the hem of my garment with faith and I felt the virtue go out of me And this woman was afraid. But he called her out that be not afraid. Your faith has made you whole. I'm giving you these to let you know Jesus has the power to heal. He has the power to do anything that he wants. And I'll say this. He has the power to take care of the storms that you're in. We go through a lot of what we call storms, ups and downs in life. Everything's not just plain and you skip along and you know, my, my, my, this feels so great, feels so good. We have problems. We have storms in life. But Jesus is the master of your storms. Jesus is the master. I'm going to give you, and when I do, I'll turn it back to Eric. If you are listening or watching, and you are not a Christian, I'm going to give you a little prayer. You don't have to pray just like this. Something like this. And meaning from your heart. Oh God, I'm a sinner. I'm lost and I need to be saved I know I can't save myself I trust you to save me come into my heart forgive my sins and I give you my life in your name I pray amen I pray that you prayed that prayer that's Eric well I hope that you have been blessed tonight with our prayer meeting I believe it's been a blessing to many people I believe we have touched a lot of lives we would love to hear comments from you But if you do not comment, we understand, you know, that there's a lot of people could be afraid to comment. You know, it ain't necessary for our prayer meeting to get comments or likes. You know, we are on here to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and to pray for those in need. So we're going to close and I'll pray and then we'll close out. dear heavenly father we just thank you so much lord for all that you're doing through brighter day baptist ministries and through both churches and on the radio station lord we ask you lord to bless everyone that has been watching tonight lord we ask you lord to continue to heal and lord all the ones that ain't uh don't know you lord we ask you that their hearts be prepared or or be working on them, Lord, to do know you as their personal Savior.
