Transcript: Overcoming Error and Greed: A Christian Perspective on I Timothy 6:3-10

Praise the Lord, my dear brothers and sisters. A warm welcome to one and all of you and I greet you in the name of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I'm very, very happy to be part of these sessions and especially this time of fellowship is a blessing to many of us that includes me. How can you say that, brother? Because God is one and Holy Spirit is one and He is the only teacher. I definitely know that I'm a student and you are the same we are all students and there is only one teacher that is Holy Spirit and that's why these kind of session really excites me the reason is because we learn new things from right under the you know teacher teachers leadership and teachers important teaching and you don't see this teacher but he's definitely there he's inside of you and And that is where I want you to feel, I want you to take a note, I want you to believe that Holy Spirit is definitely reigning in one and all of us. A warm welcome to this short session where we are going to discuss something today about two aspects, error and greed. We all make mistakes in life, that is one aspect. But we make mistakes because we are persuaded because of certain, I mean due to certain greedy aspects. There are certain deeds that are persuaded because of the greed in heart. One of the deadly sins, one of the deadliest sinful deeds, right? There are seven sins people always talk about anger, sloth, greed is one of those, right? And many people forget the other passive sins. That is a different story. There are a lot of sins, 2 Timothy 3, 1 to 9, Colossians 3, 5 to 9, 1 Timothy 1, 9 and 10. and you can talk about Romans chapter 1 verses 29 to 32, Mark 7 21 to 23, Galatians 5 17 to 21 and 1 Timothy 1 9 and 10, 1 Corinthians 6 9 and 10 and Romans 6 13 to 20. All these things if you read now there are 50 to 60 different categories of sins and in that you will find some of this dreadful sins also being mentioned. But here we will be focusing much on this one sin which is really, really, really going to lead you to this side of devil. Because the devil became devil. He was not created as devil. He was created as bright morning star. And what does that one character in him really got him there to become devil? Was it greed, right? He was greed. He was hungry for power. He was hungry for popularity. He was hungry to grab that power, grab that position of God, right snatchers grabbers you know they are no one none other than they are stealers have you seen such people i've seen a lot of them in my life so i want you to take a note if you are having this kind of spirit for example you have you are all having work at workplace right you all go to work if you're in competition with your colleagues saying that you know i i deserved that position but this guy somehow took my position you are you are in competition you are in the greed you are in the bitter envy greed introduces bitter envy bitter envy introduces strife strife introduces quarrels and quarrels can lead you to bloodshed and murder they will land up in jail you take a note of this the the the starting point was greed you shouldn't look at the crime but if you go backward trace it backward the root cause would be greed and nothing else right so this greedy attitude leads you to a lot of errors mistakes miscalculations misconceptions misapprehensions right and all these english words you know right all these things constitute to just one meaning what you were you were you were you have mistaken someone you have mistaken god you have mistaken the situation completely why because you didn't have the maturity why because you didn't have that enough knowledge to refer the word of god and that is the reason why you see most of the people land up in the situation that's exactly what we are going to meditate from 1 timothy chapter 6 verses 3 all the way to verse 10, we will be meditating today, right? It's about the error and greed and Paul leaves behind a lot of teachings and principles. I am not sure I will be able to cover everything but we will just take a glance, right, on what Paul is trying to say here. Shall we? You are all with me, right? I am not the only one who is, I have also been there. I am not a saint. I have also been there. I have made a lot of stupid mistakes in my life. I have always admitted and some of these mistakes were related to greed and I wouldn't say completely I was greedy but I led myself into competition. I built that open opponents that that kind of you know envy and all that you know I was the culprit. I finger point at me I was the reason but thank god he got me out of it and I left that habit long long ago. I threw it into garbage because it's a garbage attitude it a demonic wisdom Please take a note of it and come out of it Verse number 3 1 Timothy 6 3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to the wholesome words even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, if they are not in agreement either with the epistles written by Paul, inspired by Holy Spirit or the direct teachings of Jesus Christ and to the doctrine which is according to godliness. What is this doctrine according to godliness? All the teachings of the apostles were inspired by the Holy Spirit which means Jesus himself was the one who revealed all his teachings that he left behind apart from what he preached and taught for three and a half years. You understand this, right? All it is written, it is from Jesus only through his Holy Spirit. If it is not, if you are not in agreement with any of these, then who are you? He is proud. You have that pride in your heart. Some people know they have that prejudice. I have been so long in Christendom. I have been water baptized long, long ago. I have done this. I have done this and done this. So they will be going on and on with their testimonies. And, you know, God talks to me in a very personalized way and all that. If he talks to you in a personalized way, why there is greed, why there is error, why some of your prayers, you know, prayers goes unanswered. But you won't know the reason. That is not from God. If prayers are basically rejected by God, he will clearly tell you the reason why he is rejected and you will know. If you are yourself in a kind of, you know, it's a mysterious situation, brother, I don't know why such a thing has happened. Then it is not from God and you are not man of God. You have pride in your heart. and he is proud knowing nothing Bible says. Many people have head filled knowledge. They know everything from the Bible upside down top to bottom bottom to top but they are hypocrites. They act before men and God or they are not doers of the word. They are just the hearers listeners right and nothing there is no testimony in their life and you will see their lifestyle is not correlating with the word of God. You will see a tremendous mismatch zero match and 100% mismatch. Who are they? They know nothing. Bunch of half cooked vegetables or cowboys. A bunch of jokers. Yeah, a lot of people they cut down to the pulpit and they start joking around. Bigger is your crime. Please take a note. You are insulting the blood covenant. You are trampling the son of God right under your feet. And you are insulting the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 10 29 The wrath of God shall disant on you. I won't get in there but let's see what Bible says here. But is, sorry, but is obsessed with the disputes and arguments over words from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil, suspicious. What is this called as? Many people get into this fellowship, prayer cells and I'm not against any of this. Please don't misunderstand. You get into a lot of short gatherings, you know, smaller gatherings and all that. I've been there too. You know what they do? They pray for 15 minutes and they talk about all the matters in the world for the next two and a half hours with the coke and some snacks and all that. What is that called as? And they end up in argument. They end up in all sort of strife. And I've seen people fighting like dogs in prayer fellowship in the name of Jesus. They end up having this kind of behavior. And I'll tell you what, that place, you know, that place is completely obsessed and the place is completely filled with the evil spirit. Why? And another thing is some people will call you for discussion. Come home, let us discuss about Bible and all that. Kindly they will invite you and they will end up with argument. I am done with that long ago. If anybody is going to invite me over the Bible to argue over the Bible, this is true, this is not right and that is right and that is not right. Already Bible is very clear. Through the laws and commandments, the Bible is very clear what is right and what is not right. Why do you debate? Some, you know, their idea is to call the what is right is not right, what is not right is right. Which means what? You're rubbing your shoulders against God. I'm not going to be in that group. I will never waste my time, not a microsecond I've decided. Then so should you be. Refrain from such people, refrain from such gathering, abstain from every form of evil deeds. Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5, 21 to 23. But how do you abstain from evil? It's before which you got to test the spirit, right? What kind of spirit is this person is possessing? Is Holy Spirit present in that place or not? Only then you can refrain. Let's finish it, you know, let's read. useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth who suppose that I will be reading from here suppose that godliness is a means of gain from such withdraw yourself see i didn say that right these people you know portray the word of god in such a way they expect you to worship them almost they expect you to always accept what they say is right no please don't get into such gatherings you know there are certain people who are really dominant they come up with all this prepared notes and this and that with their own interpretation. And if you ask questions, they'll get irritated. No questions, only monologue. They will only talk. No one else can ask any questions. Sorry, that's not from God. And most importantly, you know, they basically get into a form of godliness, you know. Suppose that godliness in the means of gain. They will be portraying all about themselves, right? How godly they are. God spoke to me. I had this vision all about themselves. They won't be talking from the word of God. Have you ever heard me? I saw that vision. I saw this thing and God is telling you. I see two people while you are watching this video. I know that the Holy Spirit is going to touch you. He is going to heal you. Take all my videos. We won't do all these gimmicks because I know it's not from God. It's not from the Holy Spirit. It's from the devil, right? There are prophecies even today. I believe in that. But then you have the big prophecy book here in your hand. How many teachers and preachers talk from this prophecy book and encourage people? You are all prophets and prophetess. You have any doubt in that? I have no doubts. Every one of those who believe this word of God as yes and amen, the promise of God, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians 1.20, whoever believes and claims and when you pray, if you believe that you have received it, Matthew 21, 22, according to the teachings of Jesus, you are a prophet. Who are you? What are the title you can give? Tell me. You're a liar? You're a blasphemer? You're a hypocrite? No. You're a prophet because why? You are creating something which is not existing. A non-existing thing will exist after you have claimed that promise with all due diligence, with all due respect for the word of God. Most importantly, with that firm belief that my father is listening to me, right? It could be sickness in your body. It could be a situation at workplace. It could be some problems, you know, at home between you and your wife. It could be anything, but it doesn't matter, you know. When you claim that promise with that all due diligence and belief that this is going to take place, you are that prophet. You are that prophetess. You don't have to be persuaded by anyone, right? And that is where Bible says, withdraw from such people. That's principle number one. And draw yourself into the presence of God. You don't need anybody's presence other than the presence of God. Seriously, I'm telling you this. Please pay attention, right? But godliness with contentment is great gain, right? That contention, you all understand it? Contention with great understanding. You have that godliness. Godliness from the word of God, walking according to the standards of God, abiding in the laws and commandments of God, Revelation 22, 14, right? And John 14, 21 and John 15, 10, I think, and 1 John 5, 3 and 1 John 4, 20. All these things, if you take and read, you will understand one thing. It sheds light on you and you will be walking in light. You will be walking in accordance to the word of God. You are that godly person. Yeah, don't worry. Don't listen to anyone. You are a prophet too. For we brought nothing into the world, and it is certain that we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing with these, we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. Now who are these people who wear that form of godliness, or who, you know, pretend to be the servants of God and all that. They are basically eyeing on this materialistic riches. They want to become more popular. They want to drive that Porsche car. They want to live in that luxurious home and all that for which they use this gospel or they convert this gospel kind of a business and they meant money. I'm talking about false prophets, cult churches, you know, false teachers. All these people, they are into the business of meanting money from people. And why would you get victimized? Actually, I would blame you. God would blame you and me. False prophets, their destiny is lake of fire. Revelation 20.10. That's very clear. But you never think, since you are a victim, you have a way to escape. No, you will also burn in the lake of fire along with these false prophets. Why? Because you deserve to be there. You never paid attention to the word of God. And this is a great sacrifice. You know, many people shed their blood and they wrote this gospel. To translate this gospel, many people died. You know that? as early as 14th century just learn the history it is not coming for free this is the precious word of God How many people preserved the scroll for many many centuries You know generation after generation hiding them in the caves and preserving and all that That how this word of God is coming to us. You know, it doesn't come for free. This is full of blood that is in your hands. And if you don't give an account of your deeds, which is going to justify the blood that was shed for you and me, then obviously your accounts are not settled. And any account that is not settled, you will be thrown into lake of fire. How can you settle your account? If you are fooling with God, if you are playing around with the word of God, and that is the behavior of a false prophet, I am just telling you this. Yeah. And we started from greed, right? They are greedy people. They really want to mend money and therefore they end up in mistakes. And you being the followers of such people, you have no greed, but you end up in committing a mistake, both of you will burn in the lake of fire. One is a crook, another is an innocent, blind sheep. A crook sheep and a blind sheep, both will be thrown into the lake of fire. What a sad situation, no? Why would you want to be blindfolded? Beloved, I'm telling you, word of God is there, verify. I've even welcomed people to test my spirit. If I'm blabbering, if I'm speaking anything incorrect, comment. We have enabled comment, no hidden secrets. And lot of people from cult churches, they comment this big and all that, they confuse me. I have ignored such messages. But if you have a point to make, please make. But I know for sure it is the Holy Spirit who always teaches me and you from the scriptures. That's why I keep quoting the scriptures. You can test my spirit. You're welcome. Okay. And if there's any blemish in me, you're welcome to, you know, tell me that I'm wrong. Yeah. Last verse, verse number 10, Vandamudi 610. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. It's very clear. I don't have to explain at all. Love of money. Money means what? Everything. One car, two cars. You have a car that transports you from point A to point B. Why another car? Upgrade my car because this is out-fashioned and all that. What out-fashioned? You look at any car. Modern car, old car. both as the same missionary with little bit of changes here and there. Not against upgrading car, but don't push for it. Don't die for it. Don't be disappointed. Just leave it there telling you. These are all materialistic things. Root of all kinds of evil for which, sorry, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and peers to themselves through with many sorrows. Greed will induce sorrows. With that we close. Greed will induce grief. Greed will induce depressions. Greed will give you a lot of sleepless nights and lead you with a distress. I mean I instill a lot of distressing spirit. And what is the root cause? Greedy. Greedy attitude. So don't be greedy. You know, always pushing yourself. Have plans. Leave it to God. God will guide you. And He knows what you want. He knows what to give. He knows when to give. In due season, He will give. Because why? You are waiting on the feet. Those who shall wait on the feet of the Lord, they will renew their strengths like eagles. They will run and not be weary. And they will mount their wings and fly high. They will be prosperous, materialistic, spiritual deeds. And God is not someone who is unfaithful. He is faithful to His servants. He is faithful to you and me always. You don't have to teach what is faithfulness and goodness to God. Obviously, you rely on Him. You told Him, right, that these are the futuristic plans. You put a nice chart and you present it to him. Keep praying to him about it, to him in every fasting and prayer. Every single day you want to pray about it, pray no problem, but don't get into anxiety. Anxiety builds that greedy attitude. Yeah. Be anxious for nothing Bible section, for Philippians 4, 6, but make your request known to God. So always stick to that word. May God bless you. And most of the greedy, I mean, most of the errors and mistakes in your life has happened or taken place because of this greedy attitude. Stay from, stay away from it. That's why we took this verse, you know, 1 Timothy 6, very, very important. And please meditate in your personal prayers, meditate on this word of God.
