Hello everybody, my name is Wayne Clarus and welcome back to Living Word Church. No, I'm not at the church. I'm actually just about to leave for church. It's a nice frosty morning here in Brisbane, Australia. But that doesn't matter. What matters is God's word and God's goodness and God's faithfulness. Amen. So guys, we're going to go to church. Have a blessed day. but i want to share with you uh today about um uh something that les came to me a couple of weeks ago and he said oh this is easy you can do what you like with it and i always know when people say that that it's probably from the lord and um uh and he said you know that um this is what he believed the lord had said to him for to share with me so that i would share it so it's about supernatural faith i thought of it for a moment so the next number of weeks we're going to share about supernatural faith not about faith in in us receiving things from god but what is faith all about well why did jesus christ come to to to give us the his faith he said in mark 11 we found out last week to have faith in god or god kind of faith or the faith that god has so that wouldn't be a natural faith would it if it was god because god is a spirit a spirit being so the faith that he has for us to to use would be a spiritual faith a supernatural faith and a supernatural faith and for supernatural reasons a supernatural faith to be able to fight and continue the victory over a defeated spiritual enemy which is the devil and that now it says that in ephesians that we don't wrestle against flesh and blood you know people quite often will fight physically and that and get all uptight physically and try to win a battle physically and that and but really if there's something going on behind the scenes this is us in our Christian lives because when we get born again Jesus said to Peter and the disciples but he's talking to Peter and what he said he says when you're converted when you're converted the the enemy or the devil wants to sift you as wheat so we know that that's not I'm not frightened of the devil never have been never will be and that's especially now more that we we know our authority in God because you know I'm not frightened of Hitler you might say why I'm not frightened of Nazism why I'm not frightened because it's been destroyed now there's this fragments of Nazism still around and I treat I treat the devil when he was defeated on the cross by Jesus Christ I treat it exactly the same way as when Hitler when Hitler um ever he died when he died he's definitely dead he's not alive i don't wake up wondering what what hitler's going to do because he's been he's been defeated he's been destroyed so the bible says that the devil has been destroyed also he's been defeated his works have been destroyed for us now they still affect the world and people but we're not of this world the bible says that we are we are of a new kingdom a heavenly kingdom with a whole new set of um um weapons and a whole new set of um uh a framework for each of us to follow and it says this it says here in um and let's just have a look at we'll just see which way we're going to go first um okay let's have a look at first corinthians and we'll have a look at chapter two and this is what it says as in relation to faith first corinthians chapter two verse five and this is what paul is saying to the christian church it says here and it could come up with the King James but if it doesn't it's okay it says so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God so our faith that we have can rest in the wisdom of men you know and what is faith faith is something that we verbally confess with our mouth we have asked Jesus into our life and we have become become what is called of the family of faith the family of faith people people that love god people that god loves them also now he loves the world but you know i love i love my neighbor's kids down the road but i love my kids more now god's not like that but but god is one thing for sure god is more for the righteous than the unrighteous now he died for the unrighteous so that they would become righteous but he is also his favor and his goodness is upon his children once we get become born again you might say well does that mean he doesn't love the world no he loves the world so much that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him shouldn't perish so we are the ones who are not perishing that's for sure so it says here that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men now i'm reading from the aramaic but the king james will say about the same thing so that your faith so your faith your christian life it can rest in the wisdom of men now resting in the wisdom of men is when they say when they say oh the interest rates are going to just go through the roof well you know coming out of the 70s and the 80s of the especially the 70s, we were when interest rates were 18.7%. That was high. You know, they're complaining now that they're going up to 3.8 or something. Just think about that. A housing loan was 18%. Terrible, wasn't it? Of course you know, we had a loan for three years and when we came to pay it out after three years we sold a house, we owed more than we borrowed, just because payments weren't making it and that. But anyhow, it's not like that with God. We have been given faith, and the faith that we have been given overcomes, as we exercise it, overcome the problems of the world, the world faces and that. Because we are born of a different spirit. And when we became born of a different spirit, the spirit of God, God gave to us his faith. It'd be like me. When my boys got old enough, I gave them a motor car. But if the motor car just sits in the garage and they don't use it, it's not my fault. And they're walking around. Six months later, I say, oh, son, why are you still walking? When I gave you a motor car, yeah, but I know, but I don't want to use it. The gift is there. The faith is exactly the same way. It's a gift. Faith is a gift. It's given to us so that we can use. And we use it by the biblical principles. And what is faith? faith is something that we declare and we believe what the bible says we can't use that we can't use god's faith outside of the guidelines of the bible we can but it will create frustration so it says here that our faith that means our trust resting on god can flip across as far as from resting on god and the word of god and be in the wisdom of men oh you know what are you going to do when when you you can't pay your housing loan what are you going to do when they do this what are you going to do this what's this when someone attacks here what are you going to do what are you going to do what are you going to do well that's what the enemy does all the time just shows these what are the what are they going to do but what will we do if something happens well we'll keep declaring what the word of god declares won't we yes but what if they take you home well they'll have to take it by force but you know declaring what the word of god says continue continue all the time because we have we have we have weaponry that is not carnal that is not natural now we know that angels are there for us they're ministering spirits hebrews says that ministry spirits sent forth where are they sent forth they're sent forth from god to us what are they sent for from god to us for they're sent forth from god for us to fight a spiritual battle that we can't get into long as we've got this physical body we can't get into the physical into the spiritual realm to fight that battle that's the reason why we have the word of god because we have a physical body so we don't try and fight against a spiritual enemy with physical strength because if we do we become weary we become weary in our minds we become weary in our bodies and the bible says that we faint we can faint we're just just struggling all the time well we shouldn't struggle we know that the bible says that the servant of the lord shouldn't shouldn't struggle so then we won't we won't struggle in things we're not supposed to struggle in well what are we not supposed to struggle in we're not supposed to struggle in anything what do you mean aren't you concerned about anything well i can be concerned about but i'm just not going to struggle in it what happens if you die well i'll look down and i'll say you're still here you know won't you be concerned when you're dead you want to come back no because they're not rushing back you know but you don't see anyone rushing back so i have got this idea that probably heaven's better than earth because no christians are rushing back you know there's not a door there we're doing oh look there's some people just come back they're not why because heaven is a better place and our weapons that we have our spiritual weapons that we have are well able because they been proven Do you know that They don make a weapon and don use it and try it before when the army comes Another nation comes and gets on and says, oh let's get out and try the bow. How do you use the bow? You've got the arrow pointing the wrong way and you've got it back at the front, you can shoot yourself. No, they prove it. They do practice runs, don't they? Americans come over here to do practice runs. We go over there, practice runs. Practice runs all the time so that if there comes a time when they've got to press the red button, they know exactly what that's going to do. They're not going to press the red button on all the weapons that didn't work. That would be silly, wouldn't it? So the Bible says here that there is a weapon of our faith, but we're not going to trust in the wisdom of men. What do you mean trusting in the wisdom of men? well I'm not going to go to listen to the news and then make a final decision that would be a bad idea wouldn't it because it changes from day to day you know and it's their truth by the way they wouldn't lie would they so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God well what's the power of God now Luke says that when the Holy Ghost to tarry in Jerusalem Jesus said this tarry in Jerusalem until you be endured from power from on high so they had power before but it wasn't the power that he's talking about they raised the dead they healed the sick they did all sorts of miracles and that because they drew a great crowd but the one thing they didn't have they had the Holy Spirit on the words that Jesus gave them and on them but he wasn't in them so we now Jesus since we have been saved and and filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking that wonderful language he's given us for to build ourselves up on our most holy faith it says here that we can that we can use the right weapons the right way and they work press the red button and it works you know we don't go i wonder if that's working now if we if we get in the natural realm if we pray and then we get in the natural realm and we speak god's word and get in the natural and then i wonder what's happening we put a time frame on god oh god what are you doing you know oh i know you're busy in ukraine you probably haven't got time to deal with my things my mother was like that my mum used to say oh god's got so much in the world to do why would i pray she was saved she was spirit-filled in that in her later years but you know i just says i think god's big enough mum to look after everything if he's not we are in so much trouble so that your faith might not rest or stand king james says in the wisdom of men but in the power of god so in the power of the holy spirit the power of the Holy Spirit that's given to each of us every one of us we don't have to be smart that means I'm included we don't have to be really educated or if I'm included in that too you know we don't have to be anything to receive the power of God you don't have to be quick-minded you can be slow-minded you can be anything but the power of God is not for carnal purposes the power of God is to use a spiritual weapon against a spiritual enemy so it says here how be it verse 6 we do discuss wisdom with those who have comprehension so i'm talking to you about about the wisdom of god because you understand about faith you understand about speaking god's word you understand about when sickness has come on your body you're not going oh my god i'm dying you know it's an ingrown toenail give it a break you know and that you know or you could trip over your ingrown toenail probably if you let it grow long enough and fall on a knife or something how be it we do not discuss wisdom with those who have comprehension yet not the wisdom of this world nor the rulers of this world who pass away now they have good ideas the world have good ideas about things but it's not god ideas the bible is our is the god ideas for us i'd rather trust this book and fail than not trust this book and fail you listening i'd rather trust what the book says because if i can't trust this i'm in trouble if we can't believe what god's word says then we're in trouble yes but there's no buts with god's world word now it goes on here and it says in another passage and let's just go over to um let's just go over to this other passage in second corinthians i had here uh where are we let's give me a couple of seconds okay second corinthians chapter 10 and it's found in verse 4 and then it says here and we will go to Ephesians 6 in a moment now it says here for the weapons which we use you know that for the weapons which we use it's I've got a chainsaw at home it's useless sitting sitting in um in my garage you know when I want to get those trees out the back I cut them down I tell Geraldine to move all that stuff to the tip i'm only joking for the weapons which we use are not earthly weapons i think the king james will say carnal for the weapons verse 10 verse 4 is it yep there it is there for the weapons of our warfare so you see it's not god's warfare god what are you going to do about the devil what are you going to do about this what are you going to do about that and i mentioned to you when the lord said to me a number of years ago after a real downtime i was having at that particular time on the outside everyone thought everything was going good inside i was falling apart but that was an inside spirit that was inside emotionally and it says there for the weapons of our warfare they're not carnal so so so it's useless all of a sudden all of a sudden learning about god and i'm going to go out and use the chainsaw yeah that's dangerous you know dangerous if i said to jeraldine go and get the chainsaw and cut down something you know she would look at me and say you're gonna be joking are you for real you know well i'll start it for you love that's still not a good idea is it you know but but you know my my my dad taught me how to use a chainsaw then those in our workplace taught me how to use a chainsaw in the early days so i'm pretty good at using chainsaw now i'm not coming to your place got your trees down but for the weapons which we use are not earthly weapons or carnal weapons it's it for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in god they're mighty in god that's what they are my chain store spiritually is always kept sharp praise god it says they're in god pulling down strongholds that's what they do but you see when i pray and i believe i'm not asking god to do something and that low time in my life after you know spending all the time crying before god and asking him to do something then i stopped stopped for a while i heard this silent voice in the inside of me okay Dwight what are you going to do about it excuse me Jesus excuse me God I thought we come to you you do things no no no what are you going to do about it I've given you the strength you the power you the authority what are you going to do about it yeah but I'm feeling really tired it's not about how tired you are do you believe my word or not yes I do are you going to do something about it Jesus no why because you're going to do something about it Jesus look at my face things are not going too well here emotionally and he says no you start speaking the word of god so i learned a long time ago to speak the word of god and to continue believing it in the face of all adversities amen amen and it works so it says here for the weapons of for the weapons which we use so either a phone call or we are close to england for the weapons which we use are not earthly weapons i could use a physical weapon on that phone for the weapons which we use are not earthly weapons but of might of god but which we conquer rebellious strongholds casting down imaginations every false thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of god so you see these things come against us so it's a situation sickness comes against us you know it comes against the knowledge of god what's the knowledge of god well by his stripes i was healed two thousand years ago so the symptoms come yes they're real they're physical they're painful and that's so they come against the knowledge of god what does the bible say well it says let the sick say that this say that they're healed let this weak say that they're strong let the poor say that they're rich but isn't that denying what's happening no no no we're actually speaking the word against these things that are not going to take control of us casting down imaginations and every false thing that exalts itself against the knowledge what is written in God's word against the knowledge and if you don't know what's written in the word of god then you won't know you'll be with not disrespectful you'll think that god is causing you to be sick to teach you something i always find that with people that believe those things they must be really slow learners because they're always sick and they're always saying that well god god calls me to go bankrupt so that i'll learn how to trust him is it working apparently not you know maybe we need to go bankrupt again you know god took away my first wife so that i could marry the second one because she was more spiritual are you for real i do know a minister that believed that believed that actually that he said that because the devil couldn kill his wife it had to be god that killed his wife so that he could marry the next one because she was holding him back in his ministry he believed that we we stopped being close friends after that because i told him what nonsense it was and capturing look at this this is really good verse 5 casting down imaginations you know imaginations in the thought realm every false thing that exalts itself they're false things yes but the pain's real yes it is real but it is false thing against the knowledge of god against the knowledge of god and capturing capturing every thought to the obedience of Christ you know you've if you ever woken up and you come down we have and you know you walk into the pantry and see on the floor oh they look like they look like mice droppings Geraldine says I says no if that is a mouse dropping he's got a big bum they are rat droppings you know and we thought we couldn't do nothing I cleaned it up the next night another one was there so we thought there's a rat there oh we'll just leave it there's only a little rat he doesn't he won't eat much will you know okay he goes around visiting everyone in the house at the night time our cat's that stupid he'd probably think it's a cat you know i hope the cat doesn't listen to this on message but i didn't mention that her name was misty and uh and that so we caught the rat why we had to capture it there was a sneaky little mongrel thing then after that we had the geraldine says we're not eating anything in this pantry again we had those not just fumigated we nearly had to get blow torch in and burn the wallpaper or burn the paint off the wall and everything think we got everything well let's just do it again it's capturing we have to capture the little beast and our thoughts are like that and it says capturing every thought so we have to capture thoughts we can't just let them you know when you have a thought when you have a thought that's that's not right and i think you know the thoughts that are not right but sometimes you know when we when we question God in our mind. That's a thought. And we need to capture that like we did with the rat. We had to put a trap out and capture him. And we're not into capturing and letting go. Let's just, because it's a lovely little animal, we'll capture it and we'll take it out of the bush and let it go. We had a house next to the bush at Rochdale, Wellesley Court there and it had a little creek running by and that day and uh and the council put a whole lot of walls there they just thought the rats just thought that was fun so we killed we caught 22 rats in one week in our house 22 let alone the ones that the ones that had um packed their bags are left i think but uh and i rang the council up to do something about and they said no i can't kill them because they're what were they darling they were no they were they were they were not household rats they were bush rats you know how we knew they were bush rats they had a little sign around their head it said bush rat you know well i don't give us excuse the expression i don't give a stuff of it's a bush rat or it's a household rat or it's a rat from the Queen's house. We're going to kill the thing. So, you know, we set about killing traps. The one thing about capturing rats, I'll just share this with you because I know that you're very interested and I need to waste a few minutes. So anyhow, put the rat trap up in the ceiling. We had a two-storey house and in the night time you hear them. It was like they had baseball bats up there chasing each other around. Of course, I put the bit of bread with the jam on, just put it over distance, put the man cover over, walked down the herd and heard, man alive. Slipped the manhole cover and the rat jumped down with the trap over its back legs. We were not only cleaning the rat up, we were cleaning up what was in my trousers. also at that time, you know. Well, I tell you what, fair dinkum, you know. He wasn't happy. He wasn't happy. He was over his back leg, you know, bouncing around, you know. But we took it off. We took him down to the vet and we got him fixed up again, brought him home, let him go again. No. No. No, so anyhow, that was from now on. From then on, we tied the rat trap down. Well, that was good until it was 2 o'clock in the morning they got caught. And they just got bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, walking around. You knew that they'd gone around in circles because after you let them go, they were giddy. We didn't let them go. We killed the little mongrels. One fell down between the wall. Yes, you know what's happening. And just as the time it was starting to smell and the juice was dripping through the weatherboards on the outside, we had a home group. that night. Yes, yes, more people went home sick than healed. But no, it's not good to have a rat. Every thought, you have to capture the thoughts, otherwise they'll go stinging on you. You know, they will. You have to capture the thought. Oh, it's only a little thought. It doesn't matter if it's a little, oh, it's just a little. My mum was very, very, we used to breed mice, you know, and white mice, not ordinary mice when I was little. and I never ever wondered, I never ever thought where the mice were going. One day I asked mum, I said, where's all the little mice going? She'd put them in a matchbox and stand on them. Oh, the poor little things. You know what little mice do? They grow up and be big ones. And then they grow up and then they get loose and then they run around the house and now you've got all sorts of things running around the house, you know. My mum was very, very passive towards those things. Not. she captured every every mouse that was running loose everything that was going to be and we have to do that with thoughts you can't just let a thought run around in your mind otherwise you'll pull a man cover off one diamond and bounce down on top of your head won't be nice and you leave them long enough and they smell and it says here in verse 6 it says and we are prepared to seek vengeance I love the Aramaic and we are prepared to seek vengeance vengeance king james says and we are ready to punish all disobedience and when your obedience is fulfilled punish disobedience you know so and that's the reason why the bible says if your hand sins against you what do you do cut it off well what if your left one does it you'll have to bite it off well what happens if you've got your both hands are missing and your legs sins what are you going to do then put it in a mousetrap or something or get your wife to slam the toilet door on your leg or something i don't know but it's not saying you go out and do that it's just saying you need to deal with things don't let them hang around and we are prepared we have to be prepared to seek vengeance on those things who are disobedient and when your obedience is fulfilled and then it says do you this is the key to it just as we are sort of slowly winding down there might be a fog coverage on the landing strip so we might have to circle for a little while that's my excuse for going longer so it says here it says now do you judge the king james says do you look on the things outward is that what it says do you look on the things according to the outward appearance if anyone is convinced in himself that he is christ let him again again think let him consider this to himself that just as he is christ even as we are christ the aramaic says this do you judge by outward appearance well no but there's a question mark here so do you judge by outward appearance you know when you when you when you get some serious symptoms on the inside and the and the doctor says well it looks like it's terminal do you say oh god i'm dying well the doctor can say that but we don't have to say that yeah but what if you die it won't matter will it because we're going to be in heaven but keeping the faith isn't isn't isn't isn't experience the end results keeping the faith is being firm in a solid confession but it does work and we are prepared to seek vengeance on those thoughts who are disobedience and when your obedience is fulfilled, do you judge? Do you look or do you judge by outward appearance? If any man thinks of himself, remember, we're talking about thoughts because people will say, I can't do that. Why can't you do that? Well, I don't know enough scripture. How much scripture do you need? Just Romans 8 will do, you know. What's Romans 8 say? All things work together for good to them that love God and who are called according to God If you know no other scripture that is enough That is enough to deal with everything Yes but now don give me buts just do what the Bible says Do you judge by outward appearance? No. If any man thinks of himself that he belongs to Christ, let him know this of himself, that just as he belongs to Christ, so we also belong. And he goes on and then he says, verse 8 says, for if I should boast somewhat more of the authority which our Lord has given me so we have authority church every one of us have authority what do we have authority over we have authority over all of the things that the enemy uses to distract us and to cause us to be inferior to what the word of God says to us that we are we are the head we're not the tail that's what the bible says we we are the light we are not darkness that's what the bible says we are more than conquerors through him that loved us does he love us yes he does how do you know that because he gave his life for us so then that we are more than conquerors we are more than conquerors over what we are more than conquerors over satan and all of these things that he does why because i don't have to fight the spiritual battle all i have to do is declare the victory of the battle that's been won declare my angels are working for me i don't have to send them out they go out automatically they hearken under the voice of god's word and that's god speaking and my faith in god that all things will work together for good for me my faith in god allows god to deal with the spiritual area with the spiritual weapons that i use and that you use also now let's just as we're finishing let's just go to ephesians 6 and this is a good one here we're talking about spiritual faith now when we know faith is spiritual because it says that faith is a fruit of the spirit okay uh les has taught on that when he's been doing communion so faith is of the spirit so if it's of the spirit then it must be a spiritual weapon and and it's not a it's not a passive you know we just got to love everyone because love is of god yeah wonderful you know at um i quote that one to to to jesus when he's judging everyone at the end of the thousand years you know now you won't be able to stand there oh god you're a god of love you're going to hell yes but you're lovely you know well it won't work it doesn't work like that but we we it says here we are told here that we are to that we are of the spirit and that our spirit has it has fruits fruits are fruit of the spirit and faith is one let's not look at all of at the moment that's in galatians 5 22 i believe now in Ephesians 6 in verse 11 10 and we're going to read from 10 to 18 and we're not going to spend any time on anything and if I do say pastor move on but we're going to spend time in verse 16 verse 10 says from henceforth my brethren be strong in our Lord and in the power of his might now remember that we read that passage before about the power of God that our faith should not stand in the wisdom men but in the power of god so he's saying here from henceforth now brethren be strong in our lord and it's like the lord is saying to us be strong in me but how do i know to be strong jeez i'm just so tired it's not about physical strength it's about spiritual perception of what the bible says and in the power of his might put on the whole armor of god that you might be able to stand against the wiles that oh here's the key jesus yes i've been trying to tell you dwight that for years here's the key read on dwight i shall for your conflict is not only with flesh and blood but also with the angels and with the powers and with the rules of this world of darkness and with the evil spirits under the heavens therefore put on the whole armor of god that you may be able to meet the evil one oh god i don't want to meet the devil you you meet him every day through people's lives through things that happen through every day but he has lost his power over us that's what the bible jesus paul said about jesus that destroyed the works of the devil destroyed the works of all of them not some of them oh we just got to go out there not be disrespectful have a prayer meeting over the devil because he's just so strong no i'm not out having a prayer meeting over the over hitler people let's we advertise let's have a prayer meeting over hitler huh he's dead isn't he wouldn't want that to hit the news and put living word under it would you arise therefore but therefore put on the whole armor of god that you may be able to meet the evil one and being prepared you shall prevail the trouble with the trouble with us as christians just a blanket statement is that we get sick we go to the doctor there's nothing wrong with that and then we we rely on the doctor and their remedy to fix us well that's not going to work because it because the enemy is behind sickness that that's what jesus said the enemy is behind sickness well well then the doctors of the devil no no jesus has given us doctors to help us on our way praise god he's kept kept me alive while i've been in doubt sometimes the being prepared you shall sorry and therefore put on the whole armor of god that you may be able to meet the evil one and being prepared and being prepared you shall prevail so go to the doctor i'm not well the doctor says dwight i'm sorry but you've only got so many months to live you know you say thank you very much doctor it's all right so i'm not going to say well i tell you what doc you're just of the devil well that'll work well won't it you know uh you know it uh just thank you doctor for you and you know but my faith is in jesus christ my faith is not in jesus christ after the doctor tells me my faith is in jesus christ now before the doctor says anything yes but if he says you've got to have something cut out what are you going to do i'm going to have it cut out why because it's smart because it says when you've done all to stand well what so we should believe what they tell us yes well but what but what if what they're going to give us is is not a is not a good remedy of that well no evil thing shall touch my body that's what the bible says if i drink any deadly thing it shall not harm me so my faith is not in the doctor but my faith is in god all the way right through the whole lot and it works church being sick plenty of times but i'm being healed plenty of times too now he says arise therefore girt your loins with truth truth is the word of god put on the breastplate of righteousness i'm the righteousness of god oh you could be sick because you have sinned no you silly sausage no i am the righteousness of god in christ i'm righteous not by my acts you are righteous not by your acts of goodness you're right because of his righteous acts of goodness of dying on the cross for us that's what it says in corinthians then it says and have your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace meaning that you're walking the life that you that the bible says to walk what do you mean but i failed yes yes welcome to the club verse 16 there together with these take for yourself the shield of faith now i would say here because this is a spiritual perception this is the spiritual truth here together with these take for yourselves this supernatural shield of faith for with it you shall be able to quench all the fiery all the flaming dance of the wicked now it says to put on the helmet of salvation take the sword of the spirit which is the word of god praying always with all types of prayer and that but but the one we're talking about is take you have to take for yourself the shield of faith and now why do we need more faith why do we need why do we need more faith today well it says in revelations uh let me just see if i wrote it down here in revelations 3 verse 10 one of the letters or the information written to the letters of the
