Church, and tonight we'll let the preach, and tonight I'm going to preach, and we're going to be in 1 John, and I believe it's going to be a powerful message. I need to pray already, but I'm going to pray again, and ask some blessings on this service, and I pray for everybody that's out there. Dear Heavenly Father, I just ask you, Lord, please, Lord, to be your will, Lord, to bless this service tonight. I ask you, Lord, to help our listeners, Lord, to be attentive to the Word. I hope this message will be a blessing to someone and I hope it would be a sermon that if you don't know Jesus Christ as the personal Savior that they would come to know Him tonight. I ask you, Lord, to work through me tonight, Lord. Fill me with your power and your Spirit, Father. I ask you, Lord, to help those in need. I ask you, Lord, to just again work through me tonight and preach the Gospel. In Christ's name I pray. Amen. So, again, if you have your Bibles, you can turn to John 1, and it says, in the beginning was the Word. In the beginning was the Word of God. Before the world was ever formed, there was the Word of God. Now, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. now I'm going to stop right there for just a few minutes and emphasize on this here we see the mighty power of the word the word was with God before the world was even created right and there was nothing made without God nothing God made it all it was none of this evolution stuff where man was formed out of a sail out of a fish, and a fish came on the water, and we formed man. That's not true. You know, there's a lot of untruth in this world, and we need to tell the truth as it is, and that this is the Word of God, right? So let's go ahead and continue on here. all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made in himself was life right? listen to me are you hearing me? in him was life and the life was the light of men and the light shineth in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not okay let me talk to you right now there's a lot of darkness in this world okay a lot of darkness and why is there a lot of darkness I believe a lot of people don't want to see the light of Jesus Christ in their life I believe a lot of people has turned their back on Jesus Christ and they need to turn back to Jesus Christ and that way they can receive the light of Jesus Christ so and then it says the light shines in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not There power in the light of God And there was a man sent from God whose name was John. The same came for a witness to bear the witness of the light that all men through him might believe. He was not the light, but was sent to bear witness of the light. This was the true light, which the lighteth of every man that comes into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him. And the world knew him, what? Not. Sounds familiar. see here we see that he was started out the ministry of Jesus Christ right John the Baptist was baptized and he is the witness of Jesus to bear this life he came unto his own and his own received him not but as many has received him to them he gave power to become the sons of God even to them that believe it on his name which were born not of the blood nor of the will of flesh nor the will of man but of God and the word was made flesh and dwell among us and we beheld his glory the glory as of the only begotten of the Father full of grace and of truth John bare witness of him and cried saying this was he of whom I spake he that cometh after me he that pervert before me for he was before me and of the fullness have all received his grace for grace for the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. The truth came by Jesus Christ. You know, we can't live up to standards for Christ. No one is good enough. It is through by Jesus Christ we are saved by His grace, His mercy. no man has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, which is in Him, the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him. And, this is verse 19, And this is the record of John when the Jews sent the priests and the Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? And he confessed and denied not, but confessed, I am not the Christ. And they asked him, What then art thou, Elijah? And he said, I am not. art thou the prophet? And he answered no. Then said they unto him, who art thou? That we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? And he said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of the Lord as said the prophet of Isaiah and they which went or sent were of the Pharisees and they asked him and they said unto him Why baptize thou thee if thou be not the Christ nor Elijah neither the prophets John answered them, saying, I baptize with water. But there standeth one among you whom ye know not. He is it who is coming after me is preferred before me who choose, lest I am not worthy to unloose. These things were done in, or rather much beyond Jordan, where John was baptized. Now these passages and verses are powerful. Are powerful. Okay? I'm hopping over here just a couple of verses. Just bear with me. I want to get into some other scripture here. okay this is over here closer to Nicodemus I believe this is John 3 Jesus answered and said unto him verily verily I say unto you except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God you know we must be born again born again and he was saying how can you go into your mother's womb again but he was talking about the spirit he says right Jesus answered and said barely barely I say unto thee except a man be born of water and the spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God that which is born of flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit and spirit marvel not that I have said unto thee you must be born again the wind bloweth where it lies and thou hast not sound thou but cannot see it that means when the wind is blowing we can't see it we don't know which way it's coming only way we can feel it that's how we know where it's going if it blows north you know it's blowing toward us north and that we know it's north, you know, or south. Wherever the wind blows, it's going to blow. But we can't see it. We believe it because we feel it. And also, you know, it says, barely, barely, I said to you, you know, a man must be born again. Again. And I'll read some more here. he's talking to Nicodemus and he says Jesus answered him and said unto him art thou a master of Israel and knowest not of these things verily verily I say unto thee we speak that we do know and testify that we have seen and ye have received not our witnesses if I have told you of earthy things and ye believe not, how shall ye believe if I tell you of the heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that cameth down from heaven, even the Son of Man which is in heaven, and as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up. And whatsoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Let me tell you tonight. Let me tell you tonight I going to uplift Jesus Christ I going to proclaim him tonight And if you don know Jesus Christ tonight you can know Jesus Christ tonight And it is by bowing down on your knees tonight and asking him to come into your life. And it is a simple thing. And all you have to do is say, dear Heavenly Father, I ask you tonight, Lord, to forgive you my sins and wash me and cleanse me. And I ask you tonight, Lord, to come into my heart and forgive me of my sins. And watch me in cleanliness. I want to live for you for the rest of the main of my life. Thank you, Lord Jesus. In Christ's name I pray. Amen. Now, I ask you to seek a good godly church tonight. I ask you, if you don't go to a church, get into a church that preaches the true gospel of Jesus Christ. You know, it is a marvelous thing what Jesus has done on the cross. It is a way not to go to hell, a place of torment and burning for the rest of the man in your life. You know, and the time is now. The time is needy. People are dying and they don't know Jesus Christ. Wake up, America. Let's wake up and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. We need to get out and do that. because people are hurting. People are in the hospitals. There are people out there that don't know Jesus Christ. And we need to preach the gospel. When we've got all the time that we have, we should be doing that. So I just ask you right now, wherever you're at, if you are hurting and you are asking for prayer, you can go to brighterdaybaptistchurch.com at gmail.com and you can type whatever is ailing you or what is hurting you and we will pray for you. If there is anybody on Facebook and you know loved ones that are hurting please put just their names and say this person is hurting we would like for you to pray for them because prayer is powerful people prayer is powerful it changes it helps it cures and that's what we need is prayer in America we need prayer for each one we need to learn what Jesus said to love one another love one another not hate that's what Satan wants to do Satan wants to tear down but Jesus Christ wants to build us up so I'm asking you tonight if you have a prayer request and you want to type it on our Facebook channel. Whatever it needs to take, Lord, we want to pray for our people, our people that is listening right now. We ask you, Lord, that you touch people's lives through this ministry.
