Thank you. Praise the Lord. Welcome to the series titled Miracles from the Bible. I am Dr. John Censarion. In Genesis chapter 20, we read about Abraham, Sarah and the king of Gerar called Abimelech. What happened was, Abraham when he went and stayed in the place called Gerar, he said that Sarah is my sister to everyone. So Abimelech the king of Gerar sent and took Sarah and we see that God came to Abhimalek in a dream at night and told him that you are a dead man because of this woman because she is someone else wife And Abhimalek said, I did not know about that. The man said that she is my sister and she said that he is my brother and I just took her because of that. And God tells Abhimalek, it was I who kept you from touching her. But later on we see God commanding Abimelech to restore Sarah to Abraham and that is what Abimelech did. And what's the miracle that we are going to speak about here in this episode? We read in the same chapter, Genesis chapter 20 and verse 17. So Abraham prayed to God and God healed Abimelech, his wife and his female servants. Then they were children, for the Lord had closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham's wife. When Abimelech restored Sarah to Abraham and gave him a lot of gifts as we read in this chapter we see God also telling Abimelech to call Abraham and God tells Abimelech that Abraham is a prophet and he will pray for you And that is what happened. And Abraham prayed to God and God healed Abimelech, his wife and his female servants. The thing to note here is it was God himself who closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham's wife. But the thing is, God needed Abraham to pray. When you think about it, it's a very strange situation. It is God himself who has closed up the wombs of all the household of Abimelech, but still he wants someone to pray for the wombs to be opened. And that is what Abraham does, he prays. So prayer is so important in all our lives as believers in Jesus Christ Prayer is so very important in our lives It the foremost thing in our lives God expects us to pray and keep praying continually And God tells Abimelech that Abraham who is a prophet he will pray for you And there will be healing in your household. That's what happened here. It's a great miracle that happened. God had closed the booms. He could have opened it by himself. But he wanted Abraham to pray for it. And when Abraham prayed, the miracle happened. So prayer is something very important in your life and in my life. Never stop praying. Never quit praying because God does miracles when we pray.
