You know, in Pakistan, there are hundreds of Christians that are rotting in jail on trumped up charges. They were charged under the blasphemy laws. And these are horrendous, terrible cases. They're almost always a scam at some level. And yet that means nothing. The Christians were out in jail for years. So one of those is Anwar Masi. Anwar Masi is 57 years old. And a couple years ago, his daughter, Christian family, his daughter marries a Muslim man. And so you can understand that the extended family was upset, and this was an argument between the families. and then somebody called the police. Well, you have to understand, just think of the Old South and think of African-Americans in the Old South. And so when the police are called and you have that scum-of-the-earth Christians arguing with the mighty Muslim Pakistanis, that's not going to play well. And so the police almost always will arrest somebody and then they charged with blasphemy These cases they go on and on So typically once you arrested for blasphemy it doesn matter how bad a case it is you are locked away If you don get out right away you are locked away and you probably be in jail for at least seven years until you pop out, until the Supreme Court lets you out. And that takes a long time. It's happening more and more, but that is a long time. And that's assuming you survive in jail and you're not killed for being a blasphemer, which is a horrible thing to be called. There are lots of prisoners around the world that you are able to write letters to. And it's a tremendous encouragement. And in a lot of cases, like in Anwar, the letter will actually get to them. And that's a tremendous encouragement. It means so much when people around the world write to a brother and sister and it just buoys their spirits so much. But you can find that on our website. We'll put a link below. So just look for that. Secondly, pray specifically for Anwar. You can imagine what a trial this is. And it's extremely frightening to be called a blasphemer and to be in prison. Lastly, would you call the embassy in your country, the Pakistan embassy in your country, and ask them to free Anwar Masi, who was charged under blasphemy laws. God bless you. Thank you for caring for your persecuted brother and sister. Thank you.
