Thank you. Praise the Lord. Welcome to this series titled Miracles from the Bible. I am Dr. Johnson Charyan. I will be reading verses 1 to 9 from Luke chapter 5. So it was as the multitude pressed about him to hear the word of God that he stood by the lake of Gennesaret and saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. Then he got into one of the boats which was Simon and asked him to put out a riddle from the land And he sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat When he had stopped speaking he said to Simon launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch But Simon answered and said to him, Master we have toiled all night and caught nothing. Nevertheless at your word I will let down the net. And when they had done this they caught a great number of fish and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boards so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees saying, depart from me for I am a sinful man, O Lord. For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken. Praise the Lord, what a wonderful miracle. Jesus is stepping into the life of Peter here. He is revealing him as a great and wonderful miracle worker in the life of Peter. And we see that Jesus was teaching the people and he gets into the boat that was of Simon and tells him to put out a little from the land And then he sat down and taught the multitudes on the boat Then when he had stopped speaking he told Simon launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch But Simon answered and said, Master we have toiled all night and caught nothing. He was a fisherman and those who were with him were experienced fishermen and they knew the lake of Gennesaret very well. Simon said that we have toiled all night and caught nothing but at your word I will let down the net when he did that, that was the point where the miracle happened so when you do things according to the bidding of Jesus according to what he says you will start seeing miracles in your life too maybe you have tried many things according to your own strength and according to your own wisdom but if you wait upon the Lord and wait upon to see what he is speaking to you how to go forward in your life. He will show you the direction by his Holy Spirit. So be in his presence Wait upon him for his word and he will show you the way forward And what we see here is a great miracle When they had done what Jesus said they caught a great number of fish and the net was breaking And when Simon Peter saw it he fell down at Jesus knees and said Depart from me for I am a sinful man. Here is a man who has realization of his sins when he sees a miracle done by Jesus. So, if you are waiting for something great to happen in your life, and if you have been doing things in your own strength and in your own wisdom, wait upon the Lord receive the word from him and go forward and you will see the great miracle in your life too may God bless you with these thoughts this day, praise the Lord Thank you.
