Hello my dear brothers and sisters, a warm welcome to one and all of you and I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As always it gives me a lot of pleasure and filled with joy and happiness that we are together unified under this one name, the matchless name, that's Jesus name. Warm welcome to this short series where we pick certain titles and we will be discussing within a time boxed manner where we will be taking you through various facts and help you unleash, help you discover many many facts that are very much essential or sometimes we help you to discover the principles of life, the values of life. When you read Bible, if you don't discover the principles or the values, there is nothing that can lead you to the friend, right? That is, there is none, you need to learn, you need to discover the principles that can guide you to help, that helps you to march forward. Otherwise there is, it's pointless to read Bible. So that's why these sessions are very, very unique and peculiar that helps you to discover the real who you are. And yeah, sorry about this. And the more quickly you read, the more quickly you discover. Don't keep on delaying. Let me read Bible next year. Let me think about it. Let God tell me about this. Let me wait for some of my work to wind up. It will never wind up because the devil will keep you so busy and occupied. He will ensure that it doesn't wind up at all. He will keep you busy. So it should be an habitual practice where you need to be involved in this Bible reading. At least, if possible, please listen to our videos, right? With a lot of efforts and hard work, we put in efforts to, you know, kind of unleash these kind of truths from the gospel. So today we have been doing a systematic Bible reading from the book of Psalms. Psalms we have done so many discussions already, you know, from the book of Psalms 23 is what we did. But Psalms 14 we did, Psalms 16 we did, Psalms 6 we did, Psalms 1, Psalms 5, all these things we did. It's all in the playlist. Today we will be going through Psalms 27. The speciality about the Psalm 27, we will be reading the whole Psalm. But before we get into the book of Psalms, each chapter in the book of Psalms is not to be considered as a poetic book or something like he was lying down the shepherd boy and he was playing his flute and there came up a song and therefore he wrote it. No, it's not like that. Every single chapter is like an experience that Psalmist David, King David. And Psalms were not only written by King David, but even Moses had written down a Psalm. sons of as if after had written down some in sons of kora they had you know written down not sons of as if as have written down sons of kora had written down so all these guys have written a lot of songs it's their experiences you know they convert it into song sometimes you will have to also have i'm not saying you should sit down sit down and narrate a song or you know kind of tune up your guitar and start playing something like that no sometimes you have to write down the experiences in your life it's a very good habit right i do that because i would always like to get reminded myself that how god was merciful how god helped me once upon a time because eventually what happens we go through many many experiences in the world and what happens is all those experiences will keep pushing down all the good things that happen in your life and there is no time to recollect things why because we are really living in a busy world lot of things to do so that's why it's time to write down and keep it and consistently meditate on what God has done in your life. Likewise, this psalm is talking about the situation where, who is that? David is talking about the faith, right? How much he trusts in God? How much of confidence he has in God? How much he is dependent on God? And why is he trusting in God, right? More than how he trusted and what made him to trust here he's saying what why why why why he why he made the decision to trust in God yeah all this hows what's and why's all three are very important but this psalm is about why because when incident happens in the book of 1st Samuel you can read Diog the Edomite what happens is David is being chastened by king Saul and you know right why he is chasing him for to death because there were bunch of evil spirit that had gone into King Saul and the evil spirit knew that through David Jesus the son of God is going to be given birth through his bloodline therefore this guy if he puts an end to King David therefore God will not God will run short of his plan what a stupid guy this evil devil is now I really pity him sometimes There is a proverb, right? You take the comb and the, sorry, you hide the comb of the bride and the marriage stops. In Tamil it comes even better, right? If you keep and hide it, no, they will not know how to comb the hair of the bride and therefore the marriage is stopped. They will go to a shop and buy a new, better comb and they will be able to comb the hair and dress her beautifully or forget it, right? They will not even comb the hair. What is important is marriage, not the hair. Hair can be dressed even after marriage. If The bridegroom is okay with that. That was a joke. Try to laugh. Okay. So, so stupid is devil. Because why? He thinks if he finishes of King David, there is no room for God to execute his plans. Yeah. This is how the devil gets fooled each time. Excuse me. And the followers of the devil are also like that. They sometimes get defocused and carried away. They start to focus on some of the silliest things. For example, you are not able to forgive somebody, you want to carry that bitterness, that anger, that wrath and all that, right? That is the most stupidity that is the worst act of stupidity that is the most idiotic thing that anybody can do especially believer in Christ listening to me Never get involved in this garbage carrying you know you load all the one bag with full of garbage Would you be proud enough to carry the garbage Look, look, look, look the garbage I'm carrying. What is that garbage? Anger, rage, unforgiving spirit, jealous, envy, bitterness, pride. All these things you will carry as a garbage. All involved with people and relationship only. Definitely there are a lot of unclean spirits sitting in you. you are no way closer to God first of all and you can no way call yourself as a Christian. This is the condition of Christendom. This is the condition of many many believers in Christ today. But who is that? Why did I say that example is because David always tries to recap. Right? And there, so no, no, no. I gave this example. Why? Because the devil is so stupid that he thought if he finishes King David, Jesus won't be born. That's why Saul was filled with that evil spirit. Anyway, Saul had given lot of room to the evil spirit through his deeds, right? He was not ready to repent. He was not ready to be obedient. At some point of time, he was even ready to kill Prophet Samuel. Prophet Samuel went and hid for his life because he knew that if he comes back, this guy will kill him. So, Prophet Samuel never met him until his death after that incident, you know. Now, this guy started to chase him. In one incident while he was chasing, King David went and met with a priest and he was very hungry. And therefore, the priest gave him that big, what is that, that sword using which he killed Goliath. And also he gave him a lot of bread to eat and all that. This one guy spied out, Diog the Edomite. Actually, the priest didn't know that Saul was chasing David, right? He always knew that David was along with Saul. So, he was an innocent guy and this guy helped him. But to get the long story short, Saul finally finds it out and comes and makes this Diog the Edomite who spied and told this to King Saul to kill not only the priest, but all the 80 priests. Can you imagine this? Even some of the soldiers who were heathens under King Saul, in the army of King Saul, were not ready to do it because they had that fear for God. But this guy never had the fear for God. Who made him to do that? King Saul never had the fear of God. Why? Because he forgot the past. That's why I told you, write it down and keep meditating. It will keep you humble and simple. it will keep you getting reminded of what all great things god had done in your life it will definitely keep you very holy too right these all things the principles he never followed that's why the you know there's a you know there's a huge difference massive difference between king saul's behavioral pattern and his faith levels and all this you know the consecrations and the holy deeds that he went through versus king david you know and that's where you know david had a mere escape. He could have easily got caught and killed. And there he gets reminded of his faith. His heart was filled with sorrow and grief. Because of him, 80 people died, something like that. He took it very personally, but at the same time, he is also very confident of his faith that will always save him. And that's what made King David to run and not become weary, not scared of any situation, not scared at all. He kept on running, not weary, neither scared. If you are a child of God, another principle is you will never become tired to fight against the problems, to fight against the spiritual warfares. We are living in a spirit-filled world. Everything that you see, your fight is not with the blood and flesh. Do not look at human beings. That's why I told you, if you carry the garbage, bitterness related to that sister, envy related to this brother, and the offense related to that sister, and defense related to this brother, and all that, you are the most, you know, idiotic person in the world, especially Christians. Because why? Because human beings never are to be involved in any of the warfares. According to the Bible, Ephesians 6.12, your fight is with the principalities and the powers of darknesses that are behind this brother and sister and persuading them to do this. You all understand this? These are the basics, by the way. These are not advanced topics. Very basic things, right? Sometimes I need to touch the basics. And David was very strong in these basics. His warfare was not with human beings. He fought against the demons. That's why he was a very, very strong warrior. Prayer warrior, I would say. He was very good at fighting also. But very strong in prayer. Seven times in a day, he would always pray. He never gave up. Alright. Psalms 27, it talks about the declaration of the faith. Right? What declaration of faith? The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Or of whom shall I be afraid? Right. You just know I told right. What gave him the courage? It's not that the trust he had in his sword or in the men who stood with him. There were a lot of faithful men in David's army. All were very good friends. A lot of guys even were ready to give their lives for David. But his trust were not on them. Not on the number of people. Not on his own skills. He's a very good warrior. He's got so much of courage. No. Because God is my strength, my light, my salvation. I shall not be fearful of any situation, not be fearful of any man. What keeps you so confident, beloved? Or what is shaking your confidence? Your confidence is being shaken because your trust is not on God. You are not fully trusting Him. Why 50-50? Some people also you trust, some God also you trust. You give place to both these people, then obviously your confidence will never be consistent. You will have a problem at some point of time in your life. but if your confidence is in God and God alone you definitely know that regardless of any situation he is able to conquer the battle he is able to fight for me when I am weak he is going to carry me that's what David thought David thought he believed in it the principles he believed is what we are meditating together when the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh my enemies and foes they stumbled and fell absolutely Not even once they could touch even the tip of his hair. But David was able to cut the edge of the King Saul's robe while he was sleeping. God handed him over to him many times. But King David was that was to put his not only faith to test but to put his obedience to test Is he obeying the laws and commandments According to the laws and commandments you cannot touch any of the consecrated ones anointed one of the Lord And he obeyed right His friends told once, one, what to say, his friend told that I will use the spear and pin him down to the earth. I don't have to strike him the second time. You know, they were mighty warriors, but David never allowed. No, no, nothing doing. He's anointed servant of God. Let God deal with him. It's fine. Yeah. And, you know, my enemies were after me, always to eat up my flesh but they stumbled and fell not me making mistakes you are like principle number two if you are a child of God you will never ever make mistakes errors failures defeat mistakes will never take place in your dictionary seriously you will you'll even forgot the me forget the meaning of these things you know ah you biting the tongue I shouldn't have done that I have done mistake my mistake I'm always making errors and all that you will never makes its statements. Because why? God who is leading you from the front is not aware of any mistakes or errors, right? If you are on God's side, you will always do things perfectly because he is perfect God. And though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, in this I will be confident. Look at his confidence. Why he is confident? Because he is not looking at his army. Oh, they are coming. The enemy is having 100 elephants and you know 20 horses whereas i am having double the portion no his confidence is in the lord of lords and king of kings if required he will deploy millions of angels to fight against these guys you know you know more than these guys fought children of israel in the book of deuteronomy exodus first king second kings all this you read joshua right more than these guys fought angels of god they fought for the kingdom for the for the army of israel and they won battles. And that's why the enemies were scared. Because no one can fight with their God man. It's useless to even fight it. Give up. And these guys never understood. As much as the enemies understood about this God of Israel, these guys never understood and gave him the respect. That's why God was very disappointed and upset. Alright. One thing I have desired of the Lord that will I seek. Very very important thing. Beloved. Principle number 3 is you will never have any fear in your heart. Why? Because your confidence is in the Lord. Not on situation, not on people. Because your bank balance is swollen, lot of money. No, forget it. Forget bank balance. One sickness can nullify your bank balance. Seriously, I am telling you. You are confident in your Lord. His grace, his mercies shall always surround me like a shield. Psalms 512 says. Principle number four is, one thing I will desire and I will ask of the Lord that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. Yeah, very important principle. First of all, one thing you ask God. Don't ask 10 things. Right? Some people go with a big shopping list. I want car, I want bungalow, I want this, I'm materialistic. And then spiritually, I want this, I want this, I want to become. Just ask one at a time. Right? I'm not saying you should ask only one thing in every fasting and prayer or something like that. You can. But let your desires be limited, right? Please don't flood God's ears with everything you want. Just ask one at a time and let God approve it. Let God deliver it. And then you please go and ask him. And what is that he is asking? Not materialistic. He is saying, I always want to dwell in the house of God. In the New Testament, what is the house of God? My body and your body is the temple of God. 1 Corinthians 3.16. And if you want God to dwell in your body, how you should keep your body? You should be holy. How can you be holy? You should be a peacemaker. Pursue peace with men. And then you will become holy and you will see the presence of God. Hebrews 12, 14 says. And what gets you to be that peacemaker is you got to abide in the fruit of the spirit. Galatians 5, 22, 23. You will be a gentleman. You will be filled with kindness. You will be very patient. You will be a joyful person. You will never be sad. You will not have mood swings. You will not yell at people. You will not bite at people and backbiters and all that, right? all the spirit of faith, like David, you will be very strong in faith. That's what gets you there. And you want to dwell in the house of God, which means in other words, a new covenant, you want Holy Spirit to dwell in your house, that is your body, then you have some work to do. That's exactly, I'm comparing old covenant with new covenant standards. This is okay for David, but not okay for you and me, because we are new covenant people. For it is the time of, for in the time of trouble, he shall hide me in his family on, in the secret place of the tabernacle. He shall hide me. He shall set me high upon a rock. When they were about to stone Jesus, Jesus walked in the midst of them. God knows how to hide you, where to hide you. Don't ever be scared of people. But at the same time, don't be foolish. For some time, Jesus never went in the peripherals of Jerusalem because he knew that they are searching him to kill him. You have to be wise also. But if situations are striking you unexpectedly, unanticipated moments and all that, God knows how to hide you. Hide you under his wings and protect you. You don't worry about it. That's the next principle. Trust in God regardless of any situation. He is going to protect me. But do not tempt God. Do not jump from the fifth floor and say, God is going to protect me. God will not protect you. Because why? That's a demonic attitude. And neither the demons will protect you because they want ultimately to destroy you. Right? You will be killed, brother. That's why Jesus said when the guy told him, jump from the pinnacle of the temple, Jesus said, no, they have built a beautiful staircase. I will climb down the staircase. Jesus did not say that, but that's exactly what he meant. Right? Bible says, do not tempt the Lord and I will not tempt the Lord. I will walk down the stairs. Be very sensible. Be wise and prudent. Right? That's the next principle. Every verse, you can extract one principle at least. Right? And this is a condensed conversation. No, therefore, I am just giving one principle. and now my head shall be lifted above my enemies all around me therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in a tabernacle next principle for you to be elevated let the elevation come from God honor and opportunity shall cometh from above only if it comes from above it will be sustaining sorry it will sustain in your life and what happens is if you seek for honor if you seek for elevation if you seek for opportunity it will be only a temporary thing you know it will just vanish after a period of time. Why? Because it's manmade. But if it's God is going to open the doors, no one can shut. Yeah, that's why you should wait in patience. I still remember I waited for my promotion almost like seven years and juniors, whomever I trained, you know, they promoted and they have gone one or two levels above me. Many people have really insulted me. They said, they pitied me. My well wishes pitied me. What man all happens to you and all that. When time came, God gave me double promotion and he elevated me. Likewise, you also might have gone through experiences. Like, for example, Joseph, who was in the barracks and jails and dungeons for almost 17 years, became almost king. Can you imagine the state of the Potiphar, whose wife, you know, insulted him and he was thrown into jail? How would they would have come and humbled? Oh, please don't punish us, Joseph, please. Joseph was never worried about those incidents and he was not bothered. He said, I don't, I have much things to do, man. I have no time to get into all this nonsense. Don't worry, I won't harm you. Because he said the same thing to his brothers, you know, who harmed him. You didn't harm me because through this harm, God wants to elevate me. Therefore, I will focus on God and not on the people who caused me this harm. God allowed it and God knows how to make a way for me to escape. 1 Corinthians 10.13 says, you all understand? I will sing and I will sing praises to the Lord, he says. And verse number 7, hear O Lord when I cry with my voice, have mercy also upon me and answer me. When you said, seek my face, my heart said to you, your face, Lord, I will seek. David was not ready to seek anybody's face in modern days if David was surviving here living now he would not pick up the telephone or he would not use internet, social media, twitter and all that and creating a hashtag hashtag David conquering the you know kings all, fight against kings nothing like that he would not go and visit any men for counsel he would always ask God he would inquire God God can I do this or not he will wait on God that is his speciality do not hide your face from me do not turn your servant away in anger you have been my help do not leave me nor forsake me O God of my salvation now only he is entering into the prayer please do not do all of this because at the end of the day I am also a human being I might be sinning I have this carnal flesh atomic sin in my flesh but please do not remember all that please have mercy on me see what a humble servant of God you know When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me. This is very true. It's mother, father, both forsook him. Psalm 69. I have explained that in the truth about the cross series. Now there is no time to explain. Parents never stood with him. And teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me on a smooth path because of my enemies. Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen against me and such as breath out violence. I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living His belief is in the Lord and that's the reason I am breathing There are many situations in my own personal life where I can tell you when I look back, even now also I am terrified when I look back but I just don't know how I overcame but one thing I can confidently tell you, what made me to overcome was the faith and dependence on God. I know God is watching me. Somehow he will save me. That's it. There were moments I have cried like insane sitting in my bathroom, sitting in my bedroom. Nobody is aware. Nobody would hear me. I would be silently weeping and sobbing in the presence of Lord because some of my situations stood so, so very against me. And these are my personal experiences. Of course, you would have your personal experiences too, but do not lose heart. That's exactly what Bible says and David is also saying. Lastly, we will see this and we will close. Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and he has strengthened your heart. And he shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say on the Lord. Wait. David says this. See, whoever shall wait on the Lord's feet, whoever shall wait for God's response, they will never ever be put to shame. Mark my words. Not my words. Bible says that. David is saying this. Right. Therefore, you really need to wait. Sometimes delay is not denial. You all know this, right? Sometimes God may deny also, but he will find an alternate for you. And for that also you need to wait. If God is saying no to something, it may be temporary or it may be permanent also. Temporarily, he will say, this is not the time. I will give it to you, but not now, after a year. Sometimes he will say, I will never answer this petition because it's not suitable. You cannot ask question. How can I question God? Romans chapter 13, I think. Romans 13 or Romans 12, I think. Romans 12, 22 or 21. Will the pottery, question the potter, why did you make me of this shape? Who can question the Lord? So you cannot question him. It's not that he is powerful and all that. You shouldn't question why? Because you have confidence that anything and everything that God does in my life is for my good and good alone. He shall devise no evil plans for his man, for his creations. Jeremiah 29, 11 and 12, all his plans are for our good. He makes all things work together for our good. Romans 8, 28 says this, right? And he who began the good work in you will help you to complete. Philippians 1, 6 says, that is the confidence which will make you to wait. Because David never got his response. Saul was, you know, running after his life for years together. Imagine this guy running, running. Why did he anoint me, God? To make this guy chase me? I'm running like a dog. You know, any human being would make this statement, right? Of course, he would have made that statement in his heart, but he continued to wait in the Lord. My God who is watching me from the secret place will reward me publicly. Jesus, it is Matthew 6.6. Alright. God bless you. This Psalm 27 was a very, very blessed conversation, I believe.
