Welcome to the Film Chest Media Group. We're talking about this brand new release entitled Blonde, and this features the Marilyn Stories, stories about Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn Monroe, of course, born Norma Jean Mortensen, but is more than just known for being a pinup girl, if you will. She had a really good acting ability. She had a really good sense of humor in her comedy, the way she would do things, and she was pretty fun to watch in a lot of the films. Some of my favorite films that she was in, and some that many people will remember very much, is like Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and probably one of her most well-known is probably Seven Year Itch. there are many others of course my favorite has to be Some Like It Hot I love this film This is so hilarious You talking Marilyn Monroe Tony Curtis Jack Lemmon Hilarious film This is truly my favorite But she played in so many different films. And the interesting thing is she was a very high-ranking billed actress for about a decade. She was right up there, and her films were making a lot of money for the studio. We're talking over a decade, about $200 million her films was grossing. Now, when we look at it in this day and age, we're talking over $2 billion in this day and age is about what her films grossed at that time. Pretty amazing. Now, many critics consider Marilyn Monroe one of the best actresses never to receive an Academy Award nomination, and that's pretty impressive to hear. Now, this new release is pretty cool. I love this. It has this embossed title here. You can feel it. It's kind of got a little bit of an embossing there that pretty cool And it says blonde Okay Now this is a set that has a lot of material in it okay So let take a quick look at this real real quick You got three discs It's a three-disc set, okay?
