Greetings, classic cinema and TV fans. This is Jason Lockhart here with you once again, bringing you another Flashback Friday. And today we are looking at a brand new release from the good folks at Mill Creek Entertainment. We're talking about the brand new box set of Dawson's Creek. This is interesting. Now, for me, when this show was on the air, I was in my teenage years, and I was not into the drama aspect of TV too much. The thing that I was watching at this time was more Smallville. I was more into Superman and that type of stuff, and I wanted to see The Adventures of Clark Kent. That was my thing that I was focused on more than anything. So Dawson's Creek was on the air, and I was like, eh, I don't care. So I wasn't very interested in Dawson's Creek. But as I've gotten older, it's something that I've always wanted to see since I got older. And I was like, eh, we got to check this out. And when Mill Creek said hey we are releasing the complete series of Dawson Creek I was like okay this is the perfect time to check it out So yeah this is really interesting So big box set here two complete DVD set or Blu sets I should say featuring one through three seasons one through three and four through six So, you've got all six seasons here. Pretty awesome. Season one through three is like that. So, there you go. That's pretty interesting. And season four through six, like that. Again, here we go. This is season one through three. Comes in the blue discs. And then starting with season four, with this one, and running forward, you go into the red discs. Okay? And then, of course, into a little bit of green there. Okay. So, anyway. So, there you go. some pretty cool stuff there. I like that. Basically, Dawson's Creek features James Van Der Beek playing Dawson. And Dawson and his friend, best friend, a girl named Joey, it kind of tracks their life as kids You know they were kids growing up best friends And now as they gotten older now things are starting to change And so lives are starting to change Things are starting to become a little different And they seeing each other in different ways rather than as just best friends So kind of like a soap opera type thing, if you will, but for teenagers. So anyway, there is Dawson's Creek. Now, the interesting thing is we get a lot of bonus features here with this set as well. Entertainment Weekly's 20-year anniversary reunion. new interviews, crew featurettes, audio commentaries for select episodes, series retrospectives, alternative scenes and endings, and the original pilot presentation, all included in this box set. So that is really, really awesome. Yeah, I'm looking forward to checking this out because, like I said, when this first came out, we, I wasn't involved. I was not in for it at all. Like I said, I was more for Smallville. Let's, let's hit Smallville. Let's do that. Uh, and Dawson's Creek was just not in, in my timeframe. No, we're not, we're not doing that. We're not doing that. Uh, so it's going to be interesting to check it out now after all these years. Uh, and so, yeah, this is pretty cool. Um, And it interesting to see that Dawson Creek is 20 years old from the last season if you will from the time that it ended till today It 20 years old That is like crazy to even think about that that it 20 years old Wow. So yeah, if you're into Dawson's Creek, yeah, pick up the Blu-ray or DVD case collection, whichever you prefer, and be sure to go to Classic Cinema Plus.
