And, you know, it's a very interesting verse, a couple of verses that we're going to look at. But before we jump into the actual verses, I want to share with you a couple of things and something very, very interesting. And that is this. In the New Testament, there are 290 references to the love of God. 290 references to the love of God in the New Testament. The love of God was never greater shown than in his willingness to give his only begotten son into this world. To become a sacrifice. To die on the old rugged cross. To bleed, be nailed there, hang in agony and in shame. And it was all for us. now this would be more or less an Easter message right but we are removed from Easter for a couple weeks now right but it doesn't mean that you can't still think about Jesus' sacrifice and what he did see he bled out of his hands his feet from his head from his back from his side He bled and that precious blood was for you and for me. Jesus' blood is for you. Hebrews chapter 9 verse 20 it says this is the blood of the Testament. A blood covenant if you will. God's first blood covenant, you probably remember the first really, what you call the really first blood covenant, if you will, was found in, went to the Israeli people when they were in Egypt, right? God said to Pharaoh, he wanted his people to be released, and God said, or Pharaoh said, no, I got free labor, there ain't no way I'm letting that go. And God said, well, then realize you're going to get some flags upon your land. But Pharaoh was stubborn like most people in this generation. You get people in this generation and they have so many trials and so many tribulations come in and God is trying to wake them up saying, hey, if you'll just come to me, I can take care of these problems. But people are so stubborn they go, no, I'll survive it. I'll somehow come through it. When they don't realize that God can set the captive free. God can make the prisoner free. God can set you free of all those trials and tribulations. But the problem is people are too stubborn. Pharaoh was stubborn. And he said, I'm not going to let all my free labor go. No, I'm not. So God began to send down the plagues upon Egypt. The final plague would be a horrible one. The death of the firstborn. But God said, I don't want you to worry about this, Israel. Because I'm going to protect you. And he set up this blood covenant with them. He said, kill a spotless lamb and take the blood and put it over the doorposts of the house. and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. Hallelujah. You will not be harmed. Your family will not be harmed because when I see the blood, I'll pass over you. This was God's first real blood covenant with the children of Israel. Now God had tried to be Israel's friend for so many years, but Israel just kept rejecting Him. So God said, well then, I'll send my only begotten son and let him be the perfect lamb that will be the remission of sins of the whole entire world. And that's why Jesus came. Jesus came to include the entire world. Because if Jesus would not have come, none of us would have been involved in the redemption of sin. that's why Jesus coming was so precious and so perfect because he included everyone hallelujah this is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you or instructed or urged you verse 21 moreover he sprinkled the blood both in the tabernacle and in the vessels of the ministry. Fast forward through the blood putting over the doorposts of the house. Okay? The children of Israel built a tabernacle. A traveling tabernacle, if you will. They would take it with them as they wandered the desert. And they had a high priest. And on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, The high priest would take the sacrificial lamb blood and go into the Holy of Holies, the place where God resided, his throne room, if you will. And he would take the blood of the lamb and he would take it and he would sprinkle it upon the mercy seat. And when he would do that, it was a way to take away the sin of the people. Jesus when he came this is beautiful Jesus when he came you ever wonder where Jesus went for those times from the time he died to the time he rose up from the dead he wasn't in the tomb he wasn't in the tomb where did he go? he took his blood that he shed and he took it to the holy of holies that was in heaven and he took it and he sprinkled it on the mercy seat just like the high priest would do and he would take it that way it would take away the sins of anyone that would call upon his name isn that beautiful that what Jesus did That why he our high priest We don have to have a high priest anymore We don have to have a remission of sin on Yom Kippur anymore. We can have a day of atonement anytime we need it. And it's all because of Jesus. Hallelujah. Isn't that beautiful? That is so cool. That's what Jesus did for us. He sprinkled the blood in the tabernacles and in the vessels of ministry, meaning us. We should be the vessels of ministry. People sit and they go, oh, well, the vessel of ministry, that's the preachers and the teachers of the church. No. Absolutely not. The church of the living God are the vessels of the ministry. We are all to share the gospel of Jesus with our family and friends. Sometimes it's not always well received As we all know Sometimes we can share with someone Hey, you know what? Why don't you come to church with me? Why don't you love God? Let me show you something in the Bible And they go, I ain't got time for this Or maybe they just look at you and listen to you And then walk away But the thing is, we don't give up We don't quit just because we're rejected See Jesus was rejected What if he would have said Well father I was rejected I'm going to come home But Jesus didn't He had every right he could have When he was rejected Of mankind He could have went home and said That's it But he didn't He went to the cross anyway For you and for me He shed his blood for you and for me His blood is for you. His blood was for me. Hallelujah. What a blessing. And he sprinkled that blood on the vessels of the ministry. Us. Come ye sinners lost and lonely. Jesus' blood can make you free. For he saved the worst among you. And he saved a wretch like me. I love what it says in verse 22. when he says these words, and almost all things are by the law purged with blood. You've got to understand that God cannot remit sin without a blood covering. For sin to be forgiven, there had to be a blood sacrifice. That was what it was all about. You ever wonder why the Jewish people continuously always were sacrificing lambs, it was because they had to have a blood covering to cover the sin that they had done. They had to. That was the only way it could be forgiven. That was the Old Testament way of paying for forgiveness of sin. But that's why Jesus came. Jesus came saying, I don't want you to ever have to worry about doing sacrificial lambs anymore. I will be your sacrificial lamb. That just boggles my imagination to think that someone loved me so much that they would be willing to lay down their life for me. I didn't deserve that. Nothing that I have ever done could I point to that says, I deserve that. In fact, if you want to be totally honest, I didn't deserve it. I deserve to be put out in eternity away from God. But Jesus said, I'll lay down my life. I'll shed my blood. because there's a young preacher's kid that someday is going to need need remission of sin. Yeah, he's going to run away from me. Yeah, he's going to do some things that in the later years of his life he'll regret. But I'm shedding my blood for him. He said, I'll shed my blood for you. Once and for all. Jesus shed his blood once and for all. For all mankind. Now it's just up to mankind to say, yes, I'll accept it. I love this. The law said there must be blood to purge the sin. And look what it says in verse 22 It says without the shedding of blood There is no remission Without a blood cleansing Sin cannot be forgiven Jesus became that blood covering Jesus became that blood sacrifice That would cleanse us from our sins Set the captive free Break the chains that bind you Make you clean Pure as the driven snow Let me tell you something When you get blood in your clothes It is impossible to get it out, right? Only Jesus' blood can make you white as snow Only Jesus' blood can cleanse and make it white and clean Only Jesus' blood can do that Hallelujah this blood is for you I'm going to share with you a couple things about blood today and this is going to be something very very interesting that maybe you didn't know about but this is really interesting and this is where this whole message started from was when I heard these statements and I saw this research and I was like wow this is amazing and then it made me think about how greater God's blood is A small drop of blood can fit in the O in an O found in your bottle But in that simple little drop of blood contains 5 million red cells In a simple small drop of blood. It contains 300,000 platelets. And it contains 7,000 white blood cells in one simple drop of blood. But in that one simple drop of blood that Jesus shed on Calvary's cross, that simple drop of blood can cleanse every sin that you have ever done. In that one simple drop of blood that Jesus shed, it can break the chains of addiction just like that. In that one simple drop of blood that Jesus shed, it makes Satan flee. Hallelujah. And in that one simple drop of blood that Jesus shed, it brings healing to a broken body. Hallelujah. The blood will never lose its power. Oh Jesus died on a count of his cross Oh many years ago But the blood has never lost its power It is still powerful in 2023 It still saves the sinner It still sets the captive free It still makes Satan flee And it still heals those that have a need It is still powerful in 2023 The blood that cleanses from all sins has never lost its power. And it will never lose its power. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. All you have to do is if you're on through a trial or a tribulation. Maybe you did something in your life and you go, oh, what was me? I can't believe I did that. Maybe somebody's watching a video here today and they're saying, you know what? I've done things in my life I'm not proud of. You know what? That simple drop of blood of Jesus will set the captive free. It'll plunge your sins. It'll make you free. It's just like that. All you gotta do is say, Lord, forgive me. Boom, there it is. See, sometimes we make it so difficult. We really do. People think it's a big, huge, difficult thing to get saved, and it's not. It's not. It's simply saying, Lord, I accept the gift of your son. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. Right there it is. That's all it takes. It's not a big, huge process. It just takes faith of saying, Lord, forgive me and accepting it. The blood will never lose its power. in 2023 when people are continually saying God's dead. You'll hear that. There is no God anymore. God's dead. God's no longer on the throne. I beg to differ. God is still on the throne. He has not advocated the throne. And ain't nobody thrown him off of his throne. And no one ever will. He's still on the throne He's still there saving souls He's still there setting captives free He's still there healing those with addiction He's still on the throne healing those of physical problems He's still on the throne Saving souls setting captive free And it all comes because of Jesus' blood sacrifice for you and for me. This blood that Jesus shed was for you. That's what it was for. He didn't shed his blood on Calvary's cross because he had nothing better to do. He did it because we needed a Savior. And the captive is set free because of this blood. Because of the blood of Jesus on Calvary's cross. I love our cross that is in this church I love our cross here those that are watching the video here you're probably seeing it too those here in the church can hear and see it but if you look at our cross it's beautiful because there are three lights blood red lights one on each where the hands were and one where his feet were nailed. It reminds us of his blood sacrifice. He bled from his hands. He bled from his feet. And that blood was for you. Now today, I don't know your life. I don't need to know what's going on in your life. I don't need to know that. You know it and God knows it. Maybe there's a backlog of sin. I don't know that. I don't know that. I don't know that. Maybe there's something that keeps you chained up. Maybe it's fear. Maybe it's doubt. Maybe there's something in your life that keeps you chained up and you struggle so much. Maybe temptation And Satan comes in like a flood And continually tries to tempt you To give up, to quit He keeps saying, you know, you're never going to be well Oh, you're never going to see this blessing Oh, you want your family saved That'll never happen And he keeps doing this to you And you keep getting upset and you go Well, maybe it won't ever happen And you get discouraged Or maybe there's a physical problem into your life or someone into your life and you sit there and you go, I want to just see Him healed. One drop of Jesus' blood can do all those things. Just one simple drop of blood. But the thing is today, are you willing to hold on? Are you willing to reach out to Jesus and say Jesus just drop one drop of blood and help me today Help me today Help me today that when Satan comes in and tries to tempt me to give up and quit then I will say no. One drop of blood sets the captive free and Satan, you must flee. One drop of blood. Father, forgive me of whatever backlog is in my life. Father break those chains With one simple drop of blood Or Father heal This broken body And set the captive free Whatever it is Jesus Will do it for you If you will simply but ask I love what the Bible says In conclusion it says this Ask and you shall receive Seek and you will find Knock And it will be opened For anyone that asketh receiveth, he that seeketh findeth, and he that knocketh, it shall be opened. It is available today for you. Whatever you have need of, it's available for you. Just ask. Just ask. Let's bow our heads before the Lord this morning. As we bow our heads before God this morning, as we just focus on Him today. Now I'm not going to ask you to shout out what your problem is. I don't need to know what your problem is. But I want to pray for you if you do have a problem. Maybe you have a physical problem in your life. There's something that keeps you sick and you just don't know. You just want to be set free. Maybe there's fear or doubt or something that keeps you chained. And you want those chains broken. Maybe there's a backlog. I don't know that. and you want to be set free of that. Or maybe you just want Satan to flee out of your life. I want to pray for you today. Would there be someone that would be honest to God today in this house or someone that's watching this video and would say, I need prayer. Pastor Jay, will you pray for me today? Will someone raise up their hand today? Hands going up today. That's beautiful. Maybe you're watching the video and you're raising your hand. This is beautiful. People in this house raising this hand. People watching this video saying, I need prayer today. Father God, you saw the hands going up. People in this house saying, I have a need. Maybe somebody watching the video saying, I have a need today. Father God, I pray right now in Jesus' name that you will help those ones that raised up their hand. Father God, if there is a problem with sin, wipe it free with one drop of blood. Hallelujah. Cleanse them white as snow with one drop of blood. Maybe they're having problems with fear or doubt or anything that just kind of keeps them chained up. Father God, today with one drop of blood, melt those chains and break them and set them free with one drop of blood. Maybe Satan continually hounds them. One drop of blood, Father. Send Satan fleeing with one drop of blood. Or maybe there's physical problems in their lives. and they want to be healed. I pray, Father God, right now, today, one drop of blood, heal them, set them free, heal their broken bodies and make them well in Jesus' name. I pray for those that raised up the hand today, right now, touch their lives, touch them right now, set them captive free in Jesus' name. Father God, today we thank you for your blood. We thank you for the blood sacrifice of Jesus. Jesus' blood was for us. It was meant to set the captive free. And Father God, we thank you for his willingness to come, his willingness to die on an over-rogered cross, but most importantly, all raised from the dead, so that we could be set free. I pray right now, Jesus, that these ones that have raised up their hand, that they will be set free from whatever is bothering them today. They will be set free. Heal those that are sick. Set the captives free. Father God, sin safe and clean. Cleanse fire than snow. The blood that cleanses from all sin has never lost its power. And may the power of the shed blood of Jesus set captives free today. In Jesus' name. I thank you for it, Father. I thank you that you hear and answer our prayers. As we ask, we receive. As we seek, we find. And as we knock, it is open. And Father God, we praise you for that today. Now, Father God, we thank you for the miracles that we are going to see. And the miracles we're going to hear about. I pray, I praise you for it, Father. Now, Father God, as we dismiss. Father God, I ask that you will not dismiss us. But Father God, I ask you to go with us. Father God, keep us safe. And then Father God, bring us back safe. Next time that we might be able to worship you again. Father, may the blood sacrifice go with us. And may we always remember it all week long. And may next week when we come together, may we be able to share the blessing that we have been redeemed. That we have had blessings. That we have been healed. That we have been blessed this week. and be able to share that in testimonies. I pray that you will help us with that. And we thank you for it. And Father, go with us until we see each other again. Father, for all that you are, for all that you do, we give you all praise and honor and glory for it all. For you're worthy of our praise. We thank you. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Amen. Thank you.
