Greetings, classic cinema and TV fans. This is Jason Lockhart here with you once again, bringing you another Flashback Friday. Today we are bringing you a very special look at some brand new releases sent to us by the good folks at MVD Entertainment Group. Some interesting ones, actually, a couple here that never saw of or thought of anything before in my life. So these are very interesting. This one is a question of silence. Okay, so this is three women strangers with no premeditated thought kill a male shopkeeper in the middle of the day. A female psychiatrist is assigned to the case to find out why. That is really, really interesting. Yeah, I mean, that is really interesting. Sounds like something Hitchcockian, if you will. There's your inside cover. Get a little look there. Okay. Same artwork on the Blu-ray. Okay. This comes with a brand-new 2K HD transfer. There audio commentary interviews newsreel galleries trailers And interestingly enough this is the Golden calf winner of Netherlands Film Festival of 1982 of best film so this is really interesting yeah I this is from cult epics and I actually have never seen this that is going to be a really interesting film like I said that it kind of sounds like something that Hitchcock would do. So, yeah. That's going to be interesting. So I'm definitely looking forward to checking that one out and see what that one's like. That's called A Question of Silence. That's interesting. All right, the other one that was sent to us by MVD, this one comes from Unearthed Films. Okay, this is The Sound of Summer. that is a really talk about a cover that makes you go hmm yeah uh that really does that's just uh like that that that's that's one of them covers that make you go okay that's an interesting one this is uh what your blu-ray disc looks like okay uh the sound of summer this is interesting In the relentless heat of a grueling summer, temperatures soar to blistering levels as cicadas emerge to sing their ear-shattering song. Months of continued exposure are often enough to make anyone start to feel a little off. Anyone that is except for the oddity of the locals called the cicada man. Interesting who is that strange man and why is he always walking around with boxes full of live cicadas I'm going to stop there because that's really, I don't want to go any further. That's just, that's a perfect teaser right there, okay? Yeah, that is interesting. That is interesting. Okay, so this is a brand-new film. Well, not brand-new. It's 2022. But anyway, and it's, let's see, the bonus features include behind the scenes of The Sound of Summer, Tokyo talk show with the creators of The Sound of Summer, out in Legendary, director Shozin, and I'm not going to try the last name because all I would do is mess it up. It is F-U-K-U-I. I'm not going to even try to. I don't speak Japanese that well, so admittedly. Anyway, Japanese premiere with director and cast, and trailers are included on this new Blu-ray release. This is interesting. That one sounds really interesting. Wow. And like I said, the artwork on that just kind of lends itself to something that just makes you go, wow, what? So that's interesting, yeah. So if you're a fan of foreign films, yeah, this is interesting. These are interesting. The only thing that I wished is, which, you know, that's me. I wish these were English dubbed. Like I said I grew up on the English dubs of Godzilla and Mothra and all the monster movies from Japan And so to me when I see those monster movies and their bad English doves I love those They just I really do I enjoy them. So that would have made that a little bit better. But they do come with English subtitles. So at least you can figure out what's going on if you don't speak Dutch or Japanese, which I don't either. so um so that's that's always welcome uh so anyway uh so those are just a quick look at the two new releases from unearth films and from cult epics these so i want to thank the good folks at mvd entertainment group for sending these our way so we can uh give you a first look at them and let you see what these look like maybe they're going to be something you want to add to your collection I don't know. You know, only you can decide that. But I think they sound pretty cool, actually. They sound very interesting. So you may want to check them out. If so, we'll have a link below where you can order these. And as always, be sure to go to Classic Cinema Plus.
