Transcript: Understanding Famine and Pestilence in Our Lives [Jeremiah 14:12-22]

Hello my dear brothers and sisters, a warm welcome to one and all of you and I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As always I feel very privileged and deeply honored to be part of these sessions. I want to really thank our God who enables such wonderful moments in life. What are those wonderful moments? Meditation in the Word of God and nothing else. This Word of God is life it brings life there are situations where you know things are dead right it's like a dead rubber nothing is going to improve maybe it is your health or maybe something else but do not worry the Word of God will rejuvenate the system will reinvent the system and that's the beauty of the word of God right today yet another session and we are making efforts to conduct these short sessions short videos therefore people benefit they get a comprehensive view of what all had been described in the Bible right if you want detailed Bible teaching it is also available in our channel please do not miss okay today Jeremiah chapter 14 verses 11 to 18 will be our meditation verse the title is something like this sword famine and pestilence yeah not a very good title sword in the sense the sword of god is in your family in the sense there will be a lot of tragic incidents death the sicknesses and you know stuff like that nothing is going well pestilence whatever you know you do some or other problems comes in your life you know diseases and stuff like that it's just not departing from your system it's just it's just not departing from your life and famine, famine in the sense whatever I may earn always there is a drought in my home always there is a famine in my home whatever I earn it just doesn't stay in my hand I am not able to invest anything I am not able to look forward for the future and you know always it's a it's always a problem right such people will have to pay attention whatever I mean I am talking to the Christians I am not talking to people who belong to other religion or who have accepted other gods or goddesses as their God and I'm talking to only people who have accepted Jesus as their savior yet you have a situation that is just not changing in your life right and we are here to discuss on those matters verse number 11 Jeremiah 14 11 okay and then the Lord said to me do not pray for this people for their good simple God starts something like this, you know, to Jeremiah. Why? What is the reason? Sometimes God, you know, doesn't listen to your prayer. And wherever you may go, this prophet, that prophet does, this pastor, that pastor is, wherever you may go, God is against you. He is not liking something in you. He is not happy with something that is in your life, which is really disturbing him. He is not very happy about it. And what is that? When they fast, I will not hear their cry. And when they offer burnt offerings and grain offering, I will not accept them, but I will consume them by the sword, by the famine and by the pestilence. God is very angry. This is not only applicable to old covenant, applicable to new covenant. New covenant, you will not see an angry God like this, but then you will see God walking out of your life. and therefore what happens is the devil who enters into your life will implement all of these things that I am hearing. That point of time when you are having association with the devil and the devil has taken complete hold of your life, whatever may be the fasting and prayers, how much ever you may go to God's presence and spend time, it will not be heard. Why? What is the reason? I am also scratching my head What is the reason Then I said All our God behold the prophets say to them you shall not see the sword nor shall you have famine but I will give you assured peace in this place Jeremiah is making a statement and a lot of Christians these days new covenant Christians, they make the statement through the promises of God. Your word says like this, your promise is it not written like this. They also pray like how Jesus prayed. Is it not something that has been told like this. They make that statement. And Jeremy is also making a similar statement. And the Lord said to him, our God, the beauty about our God is he responds. He is the God who is a prayer answering God. Yes, the response is negative sometimes, but that's only for your good and my good. And our God never makes mistakes. There is nothing called as error, failure, mistakes in his dictionary. Perfect God. Everything perfect. You look at the world, how he created. Perfect. Perfect world was made imperfect by the mankind. Because the ruler of the world is the devil. Correct? Therefore, there can be nothing wrong in his response. Now, listen to the response of God. Very interesting. And the Lord said to me, the prophet's prophecy lies in my name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them. They prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart. You understood? Slowly we are getting to the point. The first point I am trying to make here, if you have an unanswered prayer for a long time, feminine at your home is not changing, pestilence is not leaving, sickness is just staying in your body, the first thing that you need to check is which church you are going and that church has what kind of spirit, which pastor you are listening to, right? Or what is your belief system like? Is it aligned with the Bible? I am not here to finger point at any specific church or congregation or dearmination or a pastor. Did I mention any name? No. Here also there is no name mentioned. But false prophets who speak lies in my name. They reveal the deceit of their heart. Probably they are after your money and they speak all sorts of nonsense and you are in the business of believing them 100%. That's why your life is not changing. Your spiritual system needs an overhaul. You need to reinvent the wheels. And only then your prayers are going to be answered. And God makes a very powerful statement here. Therefore, thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophes in my name, whom I did not send and who say, sword and famine shall not be in this land. By sword and famine these prophets shall be consumed. well while god is allowing something some you know always these guys you know there are a lot of false prophets even i have encountered in my life they say this is not from god this is from the devil come on let us attack the devil in the name of jesus run away run away the devil will be cherishing he'll be clapping his hands and enjoying that moment of foolishness because god himself allows. God himself allows. Bible says that, you know, God allows temptations, but he will ensure that we are not tempted beyond what you are, you know, bound to or what you can bear. But God allows. Why? The reason is because he wants to bring certain course corrections in your life. Maybe your belief system is wrong. Maybe your lifestyle is not right. Maybe your habitual practices are not in alignment to the word of God or the laws and commandments of God. For this reason you are predestined to burn in the lake of fire and God is not interested even one percentage to send you there. He wants to pull you back to the track. You have derailed, you have moved out of your track and that this track was originally taking you towards the kingdom of heaven but now it has deviated from the original track and it is going towards the lake of fire and you go and you talk to such false prophets what they will do They also are not aligned in Bible they also don have the anointing of the Holy Ghost They mislead you all the more And you end up in even more a farther deception than what you were in the past Correct? And you need to really run to God. When there is something wrong in your life, learn this principle. Run to God first. Ask for His response. Whether you allowed it God, God will clearly tell you, no, it is not from me. It's a temptation of the devil. Everything God only allows. But certain things God allows to make you stronger. There can be no fault in you. At times there can be no sin in you. But still God allows. Why? Because he wants to build your faith system. Confidence in him. He will test your trust in him. Something like that. But here it's a clear indication that there is something terribly wrong in these people. They are after the wrong people. They are after the wrong belief and principles. And the people to whom they prophecy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem. Now see, the anger of God is not only towards the false prophets. That is very clear. They are all going to burn in the lake of fire before the white throne judgment. They don't even qualify for white throne judgment according to Revelation 20, 9 and 10. Take and read. But now the anger of God is towards the people. How can you be so foolish? How can you allow such a deception in your life? That's what God is asking. While you have the word of God. Because of the famine and the sword, they will have no one to bury them. Them nor their wives, their sons, nor their daughters. For I will pour their wickedness on them. Now here, you can see there is a connection. Daughters, sons, wives. There could be one person who is foolish and wrong in your family. But that will impact the whole family. That's why it's very, very important that you all join hands in a family prayer. Fast and pray as a family once in a month at least. And every single day you go to pray together. Therefore, there is any misalignment in your spirit, misalignment in your belief system or thought process. God will bring that alignment. The Holy Spirit will lead the whole family through the scriptures. One person's mistake can cost the whole family's lives, you know, that can be indentured. That is the point that God is trying to make here. Right. Therefore you shall say this word to them, let my eyes flow with tears night and day and let them not cease for the virgin daughter of my people has been broken with a mighty stroke with a very severe blow. Let my eyes flow with tears. In the sense, he is talking about repentance. See, if you do not know where you are going wrong, how is it possible for you to repent? If you don't repent, how is it possible for you to go through the course corrections? If you are not able to go through the course corrections, how is it possible for you to go through the remission of sins, cleansing process? If you are not cleansed, how is it possible that you are called as righteous in the sight of God? If you are not righteous, how is it possible for you to receive the anointing of the Holy Ghost? if you don't have the anointing of the Holy Ghost how is it possible for you to enter into the kingdom of heaven you understood the sequencer you understood the chain the chain of process that is involved for you to get inside heaven these days people simply think wearing a cross around their bosom or neck carrying a bible and going to Sunday service attending Tuesday or Wednesday bible study guaranteed or water baptism 100% passport issued to heaven this is what people are thinking no it's a lie of the devil consistency will be put to test yeah every single day there will be battle war between your flesh and spirit and you need to have that might to overcome not without the word of God not without the anointing of the Holy Ghost not without the alignment where the times you are derailing you are moving far away from the presence of God you need alignment you need to come closer to God correct if I go out to the field then behold those slain with the sword and I enter the city then behold those sick from famine yes both prophet and priest go about in a land they do not know Right? They are lost. They are completely lost. Sometimes when you enter into a church, you see them doing everything against the word of God. I have gone to many cult churches, not that I desire to go, but I got caught and I didn't know. because I was still growing in the word of God. And then after some time, I started realizing the Holy Spirit start to speak inside me. Hey, there is something terribly wrong. Something is not right. Right. And then when I discovered that there is no connection. Right. I will read few more verses because we have still three more minutes. I will quickly read few more verses. 19 to 22. Have you utterly rejoiced, Judah, as your soul loathed Zion? why have you stricken us so that there is no healing for us we looked for peace but there was no good and for the time of healing there was trouble right and we acknowledge O Lord our wickedness and the iniquity of our fathers for we have sinned against you this is the prayer of repentance now God is also teaching something through the prophet Jeremiah that this is how you should repent for your iniquities Be honest and blameless before God. That must be the principle for every Christians in this world. Right? You can never go and argue before God. Acknowledge your sins. You will lose nothing. You will only gain the presence of God. Verse number 21. Jeremiah 14, 21. Do not abhor us for your name's sake. Do not disgrace the throne of your glory. Remember, do not break your covenant with us. Do not break your covenant with us. Hebrews 10, 29 if you read. Blood covenant. Through his son Jesus sacrificed on the cross. He purchased you and me for a price, 1 Corinthians 6.20. You are the one who is breaking the covenant through your sinful deeds. You are the one who are moving far away from the God, word of God, or God and the laws and commandments of God. And later you don't blame. God broke the covenant. No, you broke the covenant. I can break the covenant through my sinful deeds. Lastly, verse number 22. Are there among the idols of the nations that can cause wrath? Or can the heavens give showers? are you not he, O Lord our God therefore we will wait for you since you have made all this waiting in the presence of the Lord for his forgiveness, for his redemption for his deliverance is a wonderful experience please do not miss that today, please consider wherever you are close your eyes and ask God to forgive your sins or ask, allow the Holy Spirit to explore or investigate your matters evaluate your matters and reveal it to you the areas where you are going wrong.
