Greetings Classic Cinema and TV fans this is Jason back with you once again bringing you another silver screen spotlight and today we are looking at two brand new releases and I am so excited about them. One from Warner Archive and one from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. First off, the Warner Brothers, Warner Archive release is for all film fans of classic animation. We're talking about Looney Tunes Volume 2. Look at that. Brand new Looney Tunes release. Now for all Looney Tunes fans, yes. Pretty interesting release. We got volume one and now we got volume two. These are newly restored classic cartoons from the old era. Now it's interesting because a lot of these old cartoons are more or less deemed somewhat inappropriate in this day and age. Now, I've never had a problem with them in all my life. I grew up on them, so to me, it never bothered me. But I know for some parents, they deem the classic Looney Tunes, you know, not appropriate. So for all intents and purposes, Warner Archive puts on the back package. Looney Tunes Collectors Choice Volume 2 is intended for adult collectors and may not be suitable for children. I never, like I said, I never had a problem with it. But anyway, we get 25 classic cartoons on Blu-ray. We got a little bit of a glare there. There we go. Now it's good. You can see all the classic cartoons. right there okay pretty awesome tons of them I not gonna go through all of them but they let see Daffy southern exposure ding daddy let see a hick a slick and a chick Very very funny cartoon The Leg Horn Blows at Midnight, I get that. That's a take on The Horn Blows at Midnight with Jack Benny. Pretty cool. The Rebel Without Claws, another take on The Rebel Without a Cause. pretty cool, just tons of stuff, and yeah, so that's just a quick look at the new Volume 2 collection of the classic Looney Tunes, pretty awesome, love that so much, so yeah, Volume 2, we'll have a full written review of that coming up at Classic Cinema Plus here very, very soon, but for the main event now, this is the one, when I saw this was releasing, I was like, yes please um i love classic tv uh especially tv from the 50s and 60s um those old shows um the honeymooners um you know i marry joan i love lucy um all those old shows they i just love them so much and uh one of the the coolest of uh the old uh family uh shows was the show leave it to beaver uh leave it to beaver uh was a family it was the cleavers uh ward and june uh mom and dad uh who um would uh who had two sons wally wallace wally and theodore also known as beaver okay and it was all about their um their crazy antics how beaver would always get into trouble and try to get out of trouble and Wally would get in trouble and try to get out of trouble. And, and, and it was just, it was a classic TV series. When I saw this, I was like, you've got to be kidding me. We are seeing now on Blu-ray, look at this, the complete TV series of Leave it to Beaver on Blu-ray. Look at that The complete TV series all six seasons on Blu That is so awesome I love that Now six seasons Okay here the six discs Now I love the fact that they do this because a lot of times what they been doing companies have been doing has been releasing these big box sets where it's like these flipper cases and you just sit them inside the thing and that's all well and fine, but it's not real sturdy. uh, it really isn't. So when I saw these, I was like, yes, this is what we wanted. So season one, uh, looks like this. Okay. And you got Beaver right on the front cover. Pretty cool. Back cover right there. Okay. And, um, has right there, one, two, three, four, five discs, uh, 39 episodes in season one. Okay. Season two. Here is season two. Wally and the Beave on the front cover. And then, of course, back cover. There you go. Okay. And again, 39 episodes. One, two, three, four, five discs. Okay. Um, so pretty cool. Season two, season three, yet again, 39 episodes, different artwork. Love that front cover, back cover again, one, two, three, four, five discs. Pretty cool. Awesome stuff. Season four. Look at this. You can see beavers growing up. Yeah, there's the back cover. Okay. Get a little closer for you. There it is. Okay. And again, 39 episodes, one, two, three, four, five discs. Okay. I love, and that's something that's different too from the 50s than it is now. Seasons were 39 episodes. Now, sometimes you're lucky if you get 15. I mean, it's crazy. Season 5. There's season 5. Wally and the Beeb, front cover. There the back cover Again 39 episodes And of course five discs Okay Cool And then the final season was season six. And we get the whole family on the front cover there. okay there's that there is your back cover right there and again 39 episodes and five discs so that's pretty cool um i think it's amazing to see this uh classic tv series come to blu-ray love it so much yeah 234 episodes and included on this as well is the unaired pilot It's a Small World which was a little bit different than what we saw with Leave it to Beaver so definitely if you've never seen It's a Small World the pilot episode definitely check it out it just gives you a whole different perspective of what we know as Leave it to Beaver. So pretty good show. Right there. One of the most beloved sitcoms of all time. And that is so true. So yeah, love that. Leave it to Beaver now on Blu-ray from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
