Praise the Lord, glory be to God, my dear brothers and sisters. A warm welcome to one and all of you and I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As always I feel deeply honored and privileged to be part of these discussions where we meditate from the word of God. And the word of God is nothing but a two-edged piercing sword which separates the spiritual deeds from the carnal deeds. Therefore, it's very very important to always go through these explorative studies, comparative studies and the studies which will rejuvenate the thought process, which will trigger the thought process that will enable us to discover the real who we are and go through the course corrections. Welcome to this short session where we will be discussing today through yet another very important topic and the most needful topic to this world and the mankind. A call to repentance from God our Father. Alright. So many of us don't even understand the meaning of this repentance. They mix repentance with regret and then they get all the more confused. because the hybrid of repentance and regret is all the more dangerous rather you stick either to regret or repentance but when you mix these two you will bring something as a kind of a hybrid product no that is very very dangerous so now let's explore what is repentance and then we'll go to regret or we'll start with regret regret means you're feeling very sorry for what you have done I'm really sorry brother I shouldn't have done that right for example you hurt someone's feelings and what happens next time again the same person come and kindles your anger you are you're again blasting him in the likely manner now you had blasted him yesterday or day before yesterday correct and again he comment kindles you, for example, 20 times or 30 times or 200 times, the pattern doesn't change, which means you are stuck in that shortcoming that you're not able to control your temper. I'm taking one example. But let's take the same example and mix it with something called as repentance. Now you're going to the same brother and you're saying that I thoroughly repent for what I had done to you on the day in front of 10 people I have insulted you. I have spoke against you. I have hurt your feelings and emotions. I have really shamed you. I am very very sorry. I feel sorry enough. You underline the word enough. And I am done with this. Enough of this. And I will never ever again repeat such a thing in my life. As long as we have that association. We will remain as good friends. But in this matter, you will never hear again a word or a reaction from me. But brother, you're welcome to irritate me again in the likely manner. You're welcome to come and test me. But what I said is what I said. What I have decided is what I have decided. I will not step back in my decision. This is the true meaning of repentance. right now what happens in crescentom is the people are in hybrid mode you know sometimes they regret sometimes they repent sometimes they repent and they go back to the regret why because they were not they are not able to overcome the shortcomings they are not able to overcome the defects in their spiritual system therefore they give up you know i i i really cannot handle pornography for example Immediately after watching an adult movie, a brother or sister comes and repents, kneeling down to God. Or immediately after a fight or a brawl or a quarrel or a finger pointing or any situation where the Holy Spirit clearly indicated what you have done against the brother is not right. You repent. But then what happens? Next, you made a decision also. You were very firm in affirmative decision. You made a firm decision that you will never ever go back to that problem again or you will never ever go back to that sinful deed again. But then months later or weeks later, you ended up in the similar situation and you ended up sinning in the similar way. You were not able to resist the temptation. You were not able to resist that anger, resist that lust, resist that complaining attitude, resist that gossiping attitude, finger pointing attitude, resist that selfish attitude. resisted fornication attitude, resisted idolatry attitude or adultery attitude, right? And you failed again. Now again you come back and then now you kneel before God. You know what is that called as? That is regret. Why? Because repentance doesn't allow you to sin for the second time. I am talking about the same, same sin, similar sin, right? Or you know likely in the likely manner or the same sinful thing that you have done Repentance is always true It real Why Bible says in Acts 2 2 Corinthians 5 11 onwards you take and read Bible says with the true repentance in heart when you go to God and confess all your sins with an affirmative attitude that you will never ever go back to that sinful deed. Bible says God will forgive your sins and he will remember your sins no more. Hebrews 8.12 says that. And there will be remission of sins through the blood of Jesus. 1 John chapter 1 verses 7 to 10 if you read. Those that shall go to the Lord and confess their sins, God is merciful towards their cry. Why? Proverbs 28.13 says those that are having their attitude to confess their sins, they will obtain mercies from God, favor from God. and that mercy and favor according to the new covenant standards will allow you to go through the cleansing process the blood of jesus will cleanse us and free us from every kind of sinful deeds that you had committed in the past and god promises that he will never ever recollect he will not forget but then when it comes to his memory he will forgive why because he had forgiven once in the name of jesus you had approached him through your confessions right and god forgave and therefore he will not remember it again. And therefore, you will also receive a free anointing gift of the Holy Ghost, fruit of the Spirit, the gifts of the Holy Ghost. Who knows, you will become that miracle worker of God according to his divine will and plan, right? And you will be such a person with full of joy, love, peace, faith, and compassion and gentleness and kindness and self-control and whatnot. Galatians 5.22-23, 1 Corinthians 12.1-11, 1 Corinthians 12.28. I am quoting all these references because these are the ones which is described or constitute towards repentance and reconciliation. When you reconcile with God, you cannot even think of that sinful deed again. Why? Because that is called as the value, that is called as the worthiness behind the true repentance. You have understood that value of that relationship with the Father in heaven. You have understood that value of the blood that was shed on the cross by your Lord Jesus. who remains as our intercessor. You have understood the value of that friendship, the Holy Spirit who remains to be your helper and my helper. How many of you are with me so far? Correct? So, each time when you sin, right, God really speaks from your heart. It's okay. I'm not approving this sin. I'm not happy with this sin. But then, I welcome you to repent. I welcome you to cry out to me above, Father. And I'm ready to forgive you any number of times. Right? and always many people take this also for granted. Oh, that means I can sin any number of times. There are a lot of Nicoletean preaching, Nicolai preaching, they call it as Nicoleteans. There was a guy called as Nicolai, he was a follower of Paul Apostle and he was talking about grace. But his disciples, they misinterpreted the grace as where sin multiplies, grace multiplies. Therefore, sin more. There are a lot of cult judges preaching this. Do not worry, sin any number of times. Grace is there to forgive you brother. Don't worry about this and all that. Sorry that's not the definition of grace. The actual definition of grace is. The grace is the one which will help you to understand the sufferings of Jesus on the cross. And a person who had understood the sufferings of Jesus on the cross. Who have understood and evaluated the value of the blood. He will never ever even think twice. To insult that grace. To insult that blood covenant. To trample the son of God right under his feet. That's what it symbolizes. Each time you repeat that sinful deed, you are trampling the Son of God right under your feet. Hebrews 10.29 says. Now tell me, where would you get these ideas to repeat that sin and again claim the grace of Jesus? This is how the wrath of God shall descend upon the person who had rejected the Son of God and everlasting life. John 3.36 says that. So many people are also, you know, functioning in this kind of belief. And these are cult preaching that where sin multiplies, grace multiplies, continue to sin. No, that's not this gospel. It's some other Bible written by some other Dick and Harry. So don't ever quote biblical references and continue to be involved in these kind of sinful deeds. How many of you with me? All right. So you have understood today the value of repentance and the consequences of regret. And you know the difference today between regret and repentance. That means you have no escape from God, right? You have no escape from the white-grown judgment. Therefore, it's not God's desire that you and I should burn in the lake of fire. It's God's desire that you and I need to remain with him in his presence and enjoy his glory and have that fellowship with him everlasting in eternity, right? And now let's turn our Bible to Amos, sorry, the book of Hosea. These days we are reviewing the prophetical books on through these short sessions. Jeremiah, Isaiah, Amos, Abadha, all these things we are covering. Ezekiel, all these we are covering. Some of them in Tamil, some of them, most of them in English. So it is all available in your playlist So do not forget to watch Hosea chapter 6 and verse number 1 come and let us return to the Lord for he has torn but he will heal us you know what a verse it is did you hear me come and let us return to the Lord who will get this desire see I am not saying we will be always perfect and Bible also admits Jesus himself said there are weaknesses in the flesh but your spirit is willing to overcome your spirit is willing to fight it out therefore always be alive in your spirit and learn to walk in the spirit 1 Peter 1 16 Galatians 5 16 if you take and read you will understand you want to know more about that 1 John chapter 2 whole chapter Ephesians chapter 5 whole chapter you read yeah so you will understand what is the value of being led by the spirit and come let us return to the Lord this attitude will come in a person who has always understood the value of that relationship with the father in heaven just like Jesus understood the value of that relationship with his father and not once that's why he was able to sin or even think of those sinful deeds in his mind because why the moment he thinks he has sinned the moment he thinks of a female in an illegitimate way or in an incorrect way He has already sinned. Jesus himself says that in Matthew 5.28. Correct? And therefore Jesus was very careful. He practiced in what he preached. Right? He practiced and what he practiced and then he preached. It is not that he preached and he tried to practice. That's why he died as that lamb without blemish. And today's preachers yeah. So there are a few shortcomings in me. There are a few shortcomings in you. We are not able to abide 100% with the Bible but there is a day where we will become perfect like Jesus in love and faith and purity and speech and conduct. 1 Timothy 4.12 says and John 14.12 says that Jesus himself says you will do things more than I have done which means you will reach to my standards and you will also exceed my standards that's when I will feel proud about you but our glory will be in the Lord right our boast will be in the Lord but then you and I will do things more than what Jesus have done. We always should aim higher. We should always, you know, learn to dream bigger. And Jesus encourages you to do that. But what are the methods to get there? What is the process to get there? Hey, come and let us return to the Lord. You might have sinned, no problem. But you have definitely a chance that you can always go back to him. And you can always talk to him in a loving way. And God is able to help you, right? My father, I know for sure. I've been with him for a very long time. And you also have a very long relationship, I know. But then never even dream in your mind that God says, ah, this is it, I'm done with it. No. Yeah. And when he will say that is when you have rejected him completely, holistically, and you cannot quit that pleasures of the world. 2 Timothy 3, chapter 5, you've taken 3. 2 Timothy 3, verse number 5, sorry. And And for he has torn. He has torn means what? He had punished us. He has chastised us. He has almost, you know, been requesting us in a soft way, through hard ways and all that. And he will heal us. God is the one who chastises and he is the one who will heal us. Proverbs chapter 3 verses 11 and 12 and Psalms 23. You can take and read your rod and staff. They will comfort me. Sometimes God will really turn the staff. Staff is a hook, no? it is to gently correct pulling the legs of a sheep don't go there don't get it the sheep is not listening it's a naughty sheep he will turn the other side and he will give one whack on the leg the leg will get broken then god will be carrying you on his shoulders and that's why jesus is called as the good shepherd until that wound is healed the sheep cannot walk an animal could come and devour and he's merciful even when you are broken even when you are in repentance even when you are in shame right and you are battling to fight against some sinful deed genuinely God is really on your side. He is going to carry you on his shoulders and he is going to help you. And he will stand with you in that fight and he will help you to overcome. Right? And he will heal us. He has striken but he will bind us up. See? He has stricken. He has definitely bet you. But he will not beat anyone. He will not chastise anyone. He will not punish anyone if you are not welcoming him to punish. God is not someone who will force himself upon you and me. Proverbs 3, 11, 12. Take and read afterwards. Proverbs 6, 23. You have taken and read afterwards. Why you should always welcome Christ is because welcome God the Father to chastise you whenever you go wrong on the sinful deeds which you have repeated for the second time. For the first time, agree. You slipped off because you didn't know it was a trap. Second time, you know it was a trap. You know exactly this is the point where you had fallen. It could be a pornography point, it could be a lying tongues, it could be a bribing, it could be a flirtish attitude, it could be a greed for money, whatever it may be. You know the trap, you have already fallen for it. Why would you again go and fall Which means what You love to fall in the trap That means you fall 100 times 100 times That tells you you have tremendous love for money and lust for sex And therefore God is going to tell you, carry on with whatever you want to. And I will never ever disturb you. And God walks out of your life and the devil enters into your life. And the destroyer has taken hold of your life. And your life is heading towards destruction. How many of you are with me? Alright. So this is why you should allow God to strike you and he is going to heal you and he is going to help you. After two days he will revive us. On the third day he will raise us up that we may live in his sight. This two days, three days and all is taken as a symbolic representation. That's it. Don't literally say that on my third day God did not come and not like that right. Sometimes God will work with you. with you, although he will chastise you, he will allow little time because he is compassionate. Certain sinful deeds, you have a stronghold and God is ready to help you. It may take even months or a couple of years, but God is ready to help you. Why? Because you have the right attitude. You have the right attitude to return to God and you have the right attitude to walk in repentance and reconcile with God and hook or crook, I will overcome this. I will work with my Lord, right? and God is going to really compassionately deal with you. Last verse, right? Hosea chapter 6, verse number 3. Let us know. Let us know. Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning. He will come to us like the rain, like the later and former rain to the earth. You know, as how when the parched ground is going to receive the rain with a lot of joy, With a lot of, what is it, thrill and whatever words you have, just put it over there, right? Anything that gets you that excitement. Like that, when God showers his chastisement, when God punishes you, you will be very thrilled. Wow, God, you are still taking a note of me, a wretch like me. You are still mindful of me. Yeah, thank you, Lord, for chastising me. How many of you can say this? Thank you, Lord, for punishing me. Thank you, Lord, for bringing these corrections. It could be a job loss. Sometimes God will take away your job. Why? Because you are too much into that job. And he wants to punish you in such a way that you will get attention towards the Bible. Else what happens? Working, working, working, workaholic, workaholic. And then one day you will get heart attack and go to hell. Why? Because you didn't have time to read Bible or pray to God and repent and rediscover the real who you are. And God is not happy with this. Therefore, he takes a job and he makes you jobless. Sometimes I used to run too much on ministry, ministry, work and all that. God brought a back sprain. Back sprain means it was terrible. I fainted twice that night. That much it was terrible. And he made me to lie down on the bed for almost two to three weeks. And I continued preaching anyway. But then it is more of, you know, talking to the Lord. And God was conveying a simple message. And tears ran down my cheeks. I was missing you. You were running behind ministries and this and that and all that. You never had a private conversation although i prayed to god every day i'd read bible and all that but that fellowship god the father was missing and he said i really love it and i was on the bed and i have certain photographs also just taken it for memory i used to i cannot get up to get out of the bed it'll take at least 30 40 minutes so bad it was sometimes god you know chastises us to reveal his love Not necessarily you would have sinned, but that's how God's love is. It's not understandable. It's something, you know, some things that God does in your life, you just cannot understand. So leave it there. But at a later point of time, he will bring to your remembrance and then you will understand. Wow, what a love. Right? So allow God to work with you. If he chastises you, punishes you, corrects you, welcome. Do not despise it, Bible says. Do not push God back saying that, ah, no God. teach me things in soft ways. Hard ways? No, no. Sometimes you need hard treatment. Because why? Men are like that. Our Adamic sin is raining in our flesh. It's very hard to fight against that Adamic sin. Stubbornness and reluctance and negligence and ignorance and arrogance and hard heart and stout heart and proud heart and stiff necked attitude. These are all not easy things to overcome. God will have to strike you and me very badly and welcome him. Right? Do you have the guts to pray? From today onwards, whenever you pray, personal prayers, remember these verses. Proverbs 6.23, Proverbs 3.11.12. Say that, God, I welcome you. Today, if I would be defaulting any of your laws and commandments, I want you to chastise me. Better to get punished here and go to heaven rather than not being punished here and landing up in the lake of fire. Choice is yours. God bless you.
