Transcript: Refreshing Your Spiritual System with Faith and Hope Joel 2:21-27

Praise the Lord, my dear brothers and sisters. A warm welcome to one and all of you and I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As always, I feel deeply privileged and honored to be part of these sessions and through these short sessions we are able to take you through many many concepts in the Bible and we are able to give you a quick sneak peek of what Bible is all about. and at the same time if you want detailed bible teaching please subscribe to our channel you have lot of materials in our youtube channel and you can please access those there for free absolutely only thing you need to manufacture your time right all right so today we are here at another topic and at another session a very important one and the title of the session is are you going through the refresh or renewal process in your life refreshing and rejuvenation or renewal all these things are tightly coupled it's very very important for every human being in life if you are not going through this refresh process then what happens is there is lot of stagnation in your body right and it is not only from spiritual perspective we make the statement but But we are also telling this from a physical perspective. You consult any doctor, they will be really telling you this is very, very true. Why? Because if you are going to sleep, get a beat and sleep, get a beat and sleep, you will die within few years or within few months. Why? Because there are a lot of reasons, biological reasons. The blood cells will not be rejuvenated. The hemoglobin will not be healthy enough. and most importantly the vital organs like kidneys and livers their functions will be disrupted because that's not the way how God designed that part exceptional cases elder people or old people they end up in some problem in their body ailments even to them doctor advises except for those that are bedridden cases please get up and walk at least walk for two minutes five minutes that's enough sit and do something some stretch exercise something that you can why because that is the key that is the trigger for the refresh process the renewal process within your body and that's when you're going to have a healthy system you're going to have a healthy digestive and excretory system functioning in your body likewise your spiritual system also should be kept refreshed should be kept rejuvenated should be kept renewed at at regular intervals or in a possible, on a daily basis, right? That's why I told you, hey, if you eat for one day and if you give the rest to your physical system for the next seven days, probably you will die. You will be dehydrated and you will die, right? That's not the way it is. Or at least one meal per day, you are somehow able to survive. So, start with something simple. For example, you can start reading the Bible one chapter per day or one verse per day, no problem start talking to god one minute per day then increase it to five minutes ten minutes and like that start having fasting and prayer once in a month like that why it is important as that's the only area that's the only arena where you are able to convey your thoughts to god god is able to respond back to you communication happens the communication model between you and god The instrument is prayer. Prayer is the connecting bridge. Prayer is a dialogue. It's a conversation. It's not a monologue. Many people talk one way and they don't wait for God to reply. God can clearly speak to you in your heart. You need not be a prophet. He need not speak in your ears. But he's able to talk to you and me. And he loves to do that. I have gone through this experience. You call it a supernatural experience. You call it a spiritual experience. Whatever title you want to give. But I have gone through this experience. where the Lord God Almighty will be subtle enough to tell us clear enough that this is what something that you should not be doing And this is called as the refresh you know refreshing process Otherwise what happens is like how the river which is having the stream of water is flowing Suddenly, you create a blockage. In matter of two days, the water gets stagnated. And then you will see worms. You will see all sorts of, you know, you know, insects and breeding over that place. Similarly, our life also will become so stagnant and become a breeding area or a breeding vessel for the devil. The devil is able to breed. He creates all sorts of, you know, bad aroma and your life also will start to stink. It's not just your mouth, but your life, your lifestyle, your actions, your reactions, the words of your mouth, the places you go. Everything will be put in stake. And this is why it's very, very important to keep your system rejuvenated. Turn your Bibles with me to Joel chapter 2. And let us hear from the book of Joel. We are slowly reviewing all prophetical books one by one. The very reason is important. The important reason is we got to know what this prophetical books of the old covenant is conveying. Many people ignore this prophetical book. They think it's written to someone at some point of time, ancient book and all that. Not at all, right? It is pretty much applicable to every single mankind on earth, even in this very age. Alright? Now, Joel chapter 2, verse number 21. Fear not, O land, be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done marvelous things. And do not be afraid, you beasts of the field, for the open pastures are springed up and the tree bears its fruits. The fig tree and the vine yieldeth their strength. Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God. I will take a pause here. now here comes a terrifying situation where they didn't have a place to go they are defeated they are in poverty and they are in kind of bondage and all that and the Lord God Almighty tells them do not worry do not be afraid Jesus pretty much uses these words many times in Matthew chapter 6 you take and read John chapter 14 verse 1 and 27 do not be afraid do not be worried about the troubles of the day right and he says that you know fear not Do not be afraid because the world is full of troubles. But I give you the peace which the world cannot offer. And that's the peace. That's a peace covenant God has with his mankind in the name of Jesus. And these are tightly coupled. Now why do we get fearful? Why do we get worried? That is the major reason why the stagnation process begins in our spiritual system. The moment you are worried, the moment you are fearful of any circumstance, of any situation in your life could be health related matters, wealth related matters, job related matters, children related matters, your wife, your husband, you're not having a good relationship. So many things, right? You're taking away your focus from the Lord. That's what it signifies. That's what it conveys. And this is where you and I need to really pay that regular attention towards the thoughts of our mind and heart. And what is the best time to do that? When you talk to the Lord, he's going to help you. The Holy Spirit is going to help you rediscover the real who you are. And therefore, you are able to reinvent the wheels. You are able to, not with your own methods or through your own strategies, but it's from the Bible. The Holy Spirit will teach you from the scriptures which Jesus spoke to you and me from John 14, 26. You can read and understand this, right? And that is why God is encouraging the people of Israel that you do not be afraid, right? and be rejoiced. Your days are coming. Be glad then, children of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God for he has given you the former rain faithfully and he will cause the rain come down for you. The former rain and the later rain in the first month. What is this former rain and what is the later rain Former rain means it talking about the prosperous days Prosperous days both materialistic and spiritually your walk with God was so fantastic so nice like how Adam and Eve had a wonderful fellowship with God in the cool of the day used to come down and talk and all that but they lost the fellowship the moment sin entered in their lives it separated them from the glory of God from the presence of God from the love of God but what happens today the second Adam had come down laid his life on the cross and he had delivered us. He had redeemed us. He had freed us from the bondage. And you and I are liberalized. Right? You and I are not in that atomic sin. But then our carnal system has got atomic sin. But that's why you've got to be alive in your spirit. Be strong in the spirit. Be alive in the spirit. Therefore you are able to fight against the carnal deeds. Because the flesh is always going to work against the spirit or spirit related matters. Paul also mentioned this many times. But we are not in bondage. The new covenant folks especially. We are not in bondage. But it depends how much you go deep, how much you understand and realize the liberalization which you have got in the name of Jesus. How much of that authority you exercise. Mark chapter 3 if you want to read, you will understand. That will tell you how much you are freed from the bondage and your lifestyle also will reflect the love of Christ. You will not be a short-tempered person. You will be a peace-loving person. You will not look for quarrels. You will not finger point. You will not gossip. You will not be a selfish person. You will be very good in giving. Yeah. Charitable needs. You are a very faithful person and you will have a lot of faith in God. Nothing can shake your mind. The Bible says that, you know, don't let your mind not be shaken. Bible says. Yeah. Second Timothy, I think. All right. Now, the former reign, this was your situation. Now it is restored back to you. What was lost through Adam and Eve. Second Adam restored it back to you and me. Therefore, we are having that refresh. I mean, all these days the world was in stagnation mode. Your life was in stagnation mode because you lost that former rain, former rain, R-A-I-N, rain, rain, rain, showers of rain. That prosperous days are gone because some sin entered into your life. Somebody disturbed you. Somewhere you got defocused and all that, but no problem. Today is your time and God is able to save you. A few more verses and I'm going to close this, alright, the threshing flow shall be full of wheat and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil, this talks about the anointing of the Holy Ghost, those that shall go through the remission of sins, Acts 2.38 they will receive the free gift of God, that's the anointing of the Holy Ghost, the gifts of the Holy Ghost, 1 Corinthians 12, 1 to 11, 1 Corinthians 12, 28, Galatians 5, 22 to 23, if you read, you will understand the fruit of the spirit is given for free and so will restore So, see, do not read the old covenant always in a materialistic way. Oh, new wine and oil. Then don't immediately go and peep into the kitchen. Where is the new wine and oil? You need to always convert this into a spiritual way of looking at things. Right? Something bit me and teaching. So, I will restore to you the years that the swarming locusts have eaten and the crawling locusts have consumed. And the chewing locusts, my great army, which I sent among you. recently also a lot of locusts during the covid season 2020 already the world was battling with covid these locusts have come in Rajasthan and few other places in India they have eaten up all the weeds and grains and everything it was really shocking these prophetical words are getting fulfilled not only those days but now also it is applicable you are all with me now you shall eat in plenty and God is saying it is my army That means God has control over every situation. These locusts, it could be a nature, it could be a natural disaster, pestilence, whatever it may be. God is in control. If God says stop, it will stop. Peace be still, Jesus says, and there is peace. Even the weather obeys, they call it as weather gods. Now who is the God over the weather? It is my Yahweh God and your God. Now he is in control. And the name of the Lord our God who has dealt wondrously with you and my people shall never be put to shame Bible says in Romans 10 11 whoever believes in me they shall not be put to shame Jesus as you know Paul is mentioning that whoever believes in this name, no one can be put to shame. And likewise, whoever shall look into the face of the Father, their face will be radiance and they will not be filled in darkness or terror or horrified or panicked, you know, but they will be never be put to shame. Psalms 34, 5, Those who shall look into my face, they will obtain new favor from my eyes. And they will be receiving that new life every day. Proverbs 8.35 says, all this symbolizes and constitutes to one thing that you need to have fellowship with your God. That's where we begin, right, this session. Last verse we see and we close. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel and that I am the Lord your God. And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. Again, the Father is, you know, making it very clear, right? if any tense is written twice, which means emphatically God is trying to remind us something. Whatever may be your shameful situation today, you are not able to repay the debt, you are not able to repay your vehicle loan, it is going to be confiscated soon, you lost your job, whatever it may be. We go through all the situations, we all of us go through some or other problems in life or sicknesses that you could not, you know, be recovered from. You know, I have gone through that situation many times in life for a season. No sickness will get out of my body. I suffered. I used to cry like an insane sitting in the bathroom and all that. My wife shouldn't hear so that I will open up the tap and I used to cry. But God delivered. That is another season. Ecclesiastes 3, 1 to 8 if you see. There are a lot of things that comes. There are seasons to weep. There are seasons to laugh. And there are seasons to mourn. There are seasons to, you know, have that enjoyment and all that. All these things you will see. Therefore, today if your season is really bad, it doesn't mean that's how it will be. It doesn't mean that is the end of everything. No. God is God of restoration. He will bring that rejuvenating process, that refreshing process. and all the stagnation things or elements in your life will be you know in the moment you remove that barricade you remove that obstacle the river once again flows with such a force and it wipes off everything it washes away every stagnant instrument in matter of minutes that places once again back to normalcy fresh flowing water and the trees around will start growing once again prosperous that those days are definitely ahead of you do not worry who knows tonight as you are listening to this message if you have faith in your heart close your eyes and pray to God we let us sing this song in close right we all need to have faith in God without faith no one can really please God because he is the rewarder of faith and he's able to deliver us Hebrews 11 6 says this right Have faith in God.
