Transcript: Hearing God's Word: Ezekiel 33:30-33 - Taking Action

Hello my dear brothers and sisters. Namaste, good morning and good evening and praise the Lord. How are you all doing? I hope you are all doing good. Even otherwise, we always keep reminding you of something very powerful, very important. Do not forget the grace of God that is sufficient to uphold you, that is sufficient to grant you strength to overcome. And why it is important to trust in the graces because that is the truth. Every problem, every situation that you and I face in our lives are something that are unpredicted, unprecedented events. You and I don't even expect. But the grace will overtake us. Yeah. The grace is already ahead of us and it will provision us that strength, that energy, that source where your help is supposed to come from and it will take care of your needs. That's why it's always important to abide in the grace. It is always important to tightly be coupled with that grace. Therefore, nothing can separate you from the grace of God. And understand the grace of God is only there to help you during the times where you feel helpless. During the times where you feel absolutely feeble and I'm lost in the space and I don't have anyone. That is the reason why grace is given. And grace is given to us not without a sacrifice that happened on the cross. not without Jesus shedding his precious blood on the cross to save people like you and me. A warm welcome again to this short session where we will be spending less than 10 minutes and we will be covering some topics and we have done this these kind of sessions, a lot of them are available in the playlist please go to our channel, do not miss because I understand a lot of us are busy and we don't get time to get into detailed Bible studies that are available in our session in our channel too and that's why in order to cover the category of people who don't have sufficient time we are doing this kind of short sessions short videos so don't forget all right today yet another session we will be dealing from the book of Ezekiel Ezekiel is a wonderful book to read these days I am dealing with all the prophetical books we dealt with Daniel Jeremiah and Ezekiel Isaiah Isaiah also So we did a lot of studies because Old Covenant is generally ignored by people. But there are a lot of hidden truth. There are a lot of, see, New Covenant is nothing but the extended book of Old Covenant. You all understand that? So without Old Covenant, New Covenant did not come into existence. Jesus himself said that in Matthew 5.17. Therefore, please give that due respect and importance to Old Covenant. It's very important. You will enjoy. If you read, you will enjoy. Right? And today, Ezekiel chapter 33, verse number 30 all the way to 33. Ezekiel 33 verses 30 to 33 is what we are going to meditate. The paraphrase is very short, but the title goes like this. hearing and not doing hearing and not doing saying no to it there is a wonderful parable that Jesus spoke I don't have time to go through those references yeah one master he had two sons and one of the sons says that you know to one of the sons the master says go to the field and the son says yes yes I will go but then he doesn't go in fact either he has forgotten or for the sake of impressing his father instantaneously he said yes yes I will go I will go but then he did not go Whereas the second son comes and then the same request is given by the father hey son go to that field and do this work but the son says no I will not go and then the son makes his way out the second one makes his way out and then he comes back again rethinking yeah my father definitely needs me to go because there is a need otherwise he is not someone who will ask me anything like this or who will tell me anything like this or who will instruct me anything like this therefore better let me go and honor because anyway he is my father and I am his son I am responsible of anything that he asks he then repents of his mistake saying no in a hurry and then comes back and says, Father, okay, I will go. And he goes and he does the thing which his father asked him to do. Now Jesus asked, Jesus is asking the question to the hearers or, you know, viewers. Which of these you think is best or better? Definitely the later one is better than the former one. Why? Because the former one was just a hearer but not a doer. The later one was a hearer who initially neglected, who initially rejected, who initially ignored, who initially resisted. There are Christians belonging to all of these categories I told, right? Resisting category, ignoring category and, you know, taking it lightly or being very arrogant and stubborn. All these people are there. But later, at some point of time, that's why Mark 10 31 says, the first shall become last and the last shall become first. So never come to a conclusion looking at the initial resistance. Yeah, that's the beauty of God. That's the theory or practical tense you need to learn from God. God's attitude is like that. He is not rash at anyone. He is very patient, long-suffering. He is bound to compassion, everlasting mercies, slow to anger. Why? Because he never ever loses his tolerance and patience. He always instills that confidence in his children. Someday he is going to understand me. Someday he is going to accept me. Therefore, I will wait for my child and he will understand who I am. And that confidence really brought many, many people to his throne room, right? And you and I need to instill that confidence. One side of the story is this. The other important thing is, you and I should not misuse or should not lose that patience of God. Lose that, you know, tolerance from God. Because there is a limit for his tolerance and patience. That is also something that is written in Bible. In Psalms 103.9, the spirit of God will not strive with the spirit of man forever, neither will he hold his anger forever. At some point of time, he is going to get irritated and he is going to say, fine, child, you have fallen in love with the devil and demonic practices more than you falling in love with me and with the laws and commandments of the Bible. Fine, it's your choice. You want to go and live with the devil forever? Go ahead, no problem. And God will walk away from your life. and that is the biggest disaster that could happen to anyone and let us not push God to that state or situation. The point I am trying to say here is which category we belong to. Initially saying no and then somehow repenting and reconciling with God and then you are getting into the peripherals of the Bible, the laws and commandments or initially saying yes, yes, I am a Christian and with a great, you know, what to say, with a great urge, you jump into that water baptism tank and you get baptized and i am also water baptized and all that and months later you are back to the old track of sinful deeds yeah like how that fellow said yes yes i will do but he never did anything that exactly the point we are trying to make here in this session and james chapter 4 verse 8 says that Be the doers of the word and not just the hearers That's very clear from God. And hearing and not doing is quite a thing. Although you understand the truth, although you know that it is harmful, if you do get involved in such sinful practices and sinful deeds, but you still want to get in there. You're not able to, you know, control yourself. Self-control is a very important flavor in the spirit, in the fruit of the spirit, Galatians 5.20 to 23. And you never want to get into that realm. That means you are such a hard nut to crack. The very reason is you have fallen in love with that sinful deed. Without that addiction where you are a drug addict or alcoholic or whatever, you are not able to survive in your life. Or people who are into smoking habit and all that. So knowingly, please do not fall into any sinful deed is the point that we are trying to make. Now, already a lot of time has gone, so we will get into the session. I will read from Jeremiah 33, verse number 30. As for you, son of man, the children of your people are talking about you beside the walls and in the doors of the houses, and they speak to one another, everyone saying to his brother, please come and hear what the word is that comes from the Lord. what he is saying is everyone are enthusiastic to listen to the word of God hear the word of God and stuff like that there is no two ways about it even God is also admitting are you a Christian who is surely going to Sunday and attending all the services are you a Christian who don't miss the Bible study on Tuesdays or Wednesdays are you a Christian who is also in the charismatic prayers and you get into so many sessions like these and you pay attention and hear very nice, very good Let's move to the next verse, verse number 31. So they come to you as people do. They sit before you as my people and they hear your words, but they do not do them. Just like they're going and attending meetings, attending sessions, attending this and that will not help you. Or reading Bible like a novel book or a storybook will not help you. But you got to apply what you have read as principles, as norms, as rules, right, as protocol, all these things. You know, laws and commandments is nothing but set of instructions for your welfare and my welfare, for your benefit and my benefit. It's only for our good. That's all been written down here. And you are just going to read it in a rush. You know, some people, it's like a traditional book. They read it. I read Bible today. You read Bible, but what did you apply from the Bible to your life? and what was the benefit did you reap? How drastically your life changed from nowhere to somewhere? Was there a 10 degree change atlas in your life or not? You need to measure. You need to measure. And they hear your words but they do not do them. For with their sorry, with their mouth they show much love but their hearts pursue their own gain. Some people you see lot of prayers they will make. long prayers they will make you talk about Bible everything they will tell their verses all memorized and they will be telling ah this is that verse that is this verse and all that but look at their lifestyle look at their faith levels look at their you know the spiritual system filled with confidence trust in God faith levels when situations or when tremors hit them or when problems strike them immediately their attitude will change the kind of words that come out of their mouth will have no connection with the Bible that what it means are you of that category yeah during your prayer time you speak so very well It will be like a you know tasting honey in your mouth The moment your faith is put to test, the moment your confidence is put to test, how much you trust in your God, that's it. One problem hitting you will show the true colors. You know, Bible is talking about such people. It's not me who is talking. I'm reading the verse and explaining it to you. Verse number 32. Indeed, you are to them as a very lovely, lovely song of the song of one who has a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument for they hear your words, but they do not do them. and when this comes to pass surely it will come then they will know that a prophet has been among them it's like you know playing the note you all, a lot of us are musicians right, you know the notes C chord, D chord and all that accordingly you play the tune obviously it will be like a melody in your ears it will not be a noise in your ears or music in your ears will enter It will be such a melody to listen. And that too when five different musicians, one guitarist, one bass guitar, one string guitar, and there is another person playing a keyboard and violinist, all of them following the same notes in rhythm, in harmony, they play together. Then it's music in your ears. What if one guy violates, the keyboard guy says, no, no, I won't play this kind of note. It becomes noise in your ears. Such an irritating thing to listen, correct, no? I'm not a musician by birth, but I love music. I enjoy music and I can sing to some extent. That's it. All right. But all of us understand this norm, the protocol they all have to follow, right? That's very important. Why am I saying this is because if you and I fail to follow that protocol, we will become noise in the ears of God. Our prayers will be noise in the ears of God. So you need to understand that it's very, very important, first of all, to read the Bible. secondly you need to perceive what you have understood from the Bible just like that reading won't help and what you have understood you got to apply it to your lives you got to really practice you got to bring it to practice only then when you make your prayers it will be music in the ears of God otherwise it will be a noise alright God bless you take care hopefully this session was very useful to you please leave your comments or pause this channel details to whomever you know. Just abide in the laws and commandments of the Bible. The Holy Spirit will lead you in the right direction. And that's why many of you listening to me, your prayers are not getting answered for ages.
