Transcript: Renew Your Spirit and Mind with God's Guidance

Namaste, good morning and good evening my dear friends, my dear brothers and sisters. A warm welcome to one and all of you and I greet you in the matchless name of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As always I feel very very privileged and happy to be part of these sessions because these are the wonderful moments which money cannot buy. and sometimes even time cannot buy because most of us are busy but if at all you are fortunate enough to tune to these sessions that is mere grace of God there can't be any other reason and why these fellowships are very important these sessions are very important is we are doing a deep dive from the word of God and we are extracting principles which will really help for you to march ahead in life the application of these principles to your lives will change your lifestyle, will change your thought process, will really help you to move the needle from depression all the way to the peaceful mindset. You won't know this because when you practice is when you will see the changes that are literally happening in your life and in your thought process. A warm welcome to this short session where today we will be reviewing yet another scripture and yeah, this is going to be very short, 15 to 20 minutes maximum. We are going to talk from the subject of the renewal of Israel, Ezekiel chapter 36 and verse number 20 all the way to maybe 30, 20 to 30. Ezekiel 36 verses 20 to 30 is the scriptural reading today. But the title of this message is the renewal of Israel. What is this renewal process? For example, you have to renew your driving license, renewal of driving license. You have to renew your passports. You have to renew every single thing that are carrying your identity. The reason why they are doing is to check whether you are still alive, to check whether you are still existing in that country. And therefore, you are entitled to renew, to claim those benefits, right? Passports enables you to travel from one country to another country, business visit and stuff like that and if your passport is expired you are not allowed to travel therefore you are not able to perform as a professional correct and likewise a lot of other things ration card in india very important you will get ration rice and groceries from from the ration and for a very cheap price and you need to also renew your ration card you know time over time or maybe they will conduct certain forums where you have to register that you are still existing people who receive pension every year they got to go to the treasury department and renew their existence renewal is a process which will enable you to receive the benefits that you had been entitled to receive once upon a time and you want to continuously receive those benefits yes you have to renew your existence and you have to register and for that a process is entitled and stuff like that similarly in your spiritual life you also need to check your the expiry of your you know the spiritual existence or the spiritual existence is still existing or not is also a kind of a check that you are entitled to do or you are not entitled actually you are forced to do. Otherwise, what happens is your spiritual existence dies and vanishes and the demonic existence have taken strong hold in your heart and which is going to be pretty well manifested through your behavior, lifestyle and people whom you meet, the words of your mouth, your external actions are going to be justifiable. But it will be too late for you to travel behind and kind of do that renewal because you have marched ahead. For example, a person who is not a citizen of this country will not want to renew anything. Why? Because he is a terrorist. He is there to conduct some attacks or maybe he is a spy coming from a foreign land. He kind of trespassed through that path and then he has entered into our nation through some borders or mountains or valleys. Somehow he entered into a nation. There are a lot of people in our country and that is why they are, you know, reforming some rules to make that, make that impossible or something like that or, you know, eliminate such unwanted elements from our country. Anyway, the point I am trying to make here is, in periodic intervals, renewal of your spiritual being, renewal of your spiritual existence is, or checking upon your spiritual existence to renew your spiritual quality is very, very needed. why it is very much needed is that's when you will register your citizenship in heaven. That is when you are actually what to say reconforming that you are still having that fellowship with your Father in heaven Now let us listen from the book of Ezekiel chapter 36 verses 20 to 13 What God the Father has to say to the people of Israel about this renewal process and why there is strong emphasis given is what we want to read together and understand. We will close on time, so stay focused. when they when they come to the nations wherever they went they profaned my holy name when they said of them these are the people of the Lord and yet they have gone out of his land now Israelites clearly violated the laws violated the instructions of the Lord they went on roaming across the lands and they started marrying intercaste marriages and interreligion marriages and stuff like that. They took women from, you know, Samaria, Canaan, you know, Jebusites. They married some of the Jebusites and so many intercaste marriage happened. And this was actually the case with Solomon also, right? King Solomon also did the same. Wherever he went, he married that king's daughter. Therefore, what? He becomes the son-in-law and therefore the land is at peace. But that's a clear violation according to God's commandment. Okay. They profaned my name. God is saying this. But I had concern for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations wherever they went. But God is not ready to give up for his holy name, for his great name. He had to fight it out to restore that holy name, to restore the greatness behind that holy name. But these guys went and profaned that holy name through their lifestyle and culture. therefore so in life also the important principle that you need to understand is when you step aside from these laws and commandments given to you from the Bible God is not going to sit back and watch well done my son, well done my daughter wonderful, please keep watching that pornography please keep flirting, please keep taking bribe and all that no, God will literally become our adversary to fight against you for his holy name and that simply means that he loves you and simply means that he is compassionate that he wants to win you back to his side and that's exactly what God the Father is trying to do with Israel but Israelites never understood this compassion that love that they always started to look at God the Father as that angry God no that's not the truth therefore say to the house of Israel thus says the Lord God I do not do this for your sake you see here he is not doing it for your sake or my sake, O house of Israel, but for my holy name's sake, which you have profaned among the nations, wherever you went. Beloved, especially born again believers in Christ, wherever you go, you are going to be really watched by the demons and by the people belonging to another religion, another doctrine. Why? Because people who belong to the other religion or doctrine, they definitely know the principles of Bible. That's the reason some people say, Being a Christian, how can you commit a mistake like this? They use that word, right? Why? Because the Christ-like mindset and Christ-induced or, you know, imposed principles are very, very different from other doctrines. Such as love your enemies, love your neighbor as yourself, forgive those who spitefully used you and blessed them and who persecuted you. These kind of teachings you will never find in any doctrine. That's why Bible is a real unique book and that really adds a lot of pride to the holy name of God, Israel, God of Israel. That's why he will become your adversary when you slip off or resign from this post of Christianity. Say, talk to God saying that, God, I don't want you because I love the devil more than you. Therefore, I'm done with this religion. God will not bother you. He will not chastise you. He will not impose corrections on you. Yeah. go ahead, go to hell. That's what it means. And that's not the case with Israelites. Whenever something is not going right, they go and cry out to God seeking His help. And God says, I cannot help you just like that. You profite my holy name. For my name's sake, I'm going to chastise you. I'm going to correct you. I'm going to renew. Because why? If I redeem you now, again you will commit the same mistake. Correct or not? That's why some Christians, continuously they go through punishments and all sorts of problems in life. Why? Because God is really working on their mistakes. That's exactly what they don't understand. God really wants to renew them, refresh them, rejuvenate them. And I have gone through that also. Yeah, I'm no exception. And I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst. And the nations shall know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when I am hallowed in you before your eyes. For I will take you from among the nations gather you out of all the nations and bring you into your own land God says you profane to my name in your district in your locality in your neighborhood and all that That means wherever we go and misuse the grace or misuse the name of Jesus, you are actually kindling, triggering God's anger and he's not going to stay quiet. Be very, very careful about this. All right. and for I will take you among the nations, gather you of all the countries and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you and you shall be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. This is old covenant, the new covenant world, the new covenant standard, the cleansing process. Acts 2.38 you take and read. Acts 11.18 you take and read. you have the remission of sins takes place through the blood of Jesus after your confession and through which through repentance you will be reconciling with the father in heaven that's what bible says you know there are many second corinthians chapter 5 also you can take and read how can you reconcile with your father in heaven through repentance beautifully written yeah but in the and the clean water is talking about the water baptism through which you and i will receive the anointing of the Holy Ghost, which is also described in Acts 2.38, 1 Corinthians 12, 1 to 11, Galatians 5.22 and 23, the fruit of the Spirit, the gift of the Holy Ghost. Alright, 1 Corinthians 14 also you take into it. Okay. So, now here, then I will sprinkle clean water and I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. This is the renewal process. See, until, unless and until the internals changes, right, the externals will never change. These people are focusing more on the externals. I have to control my angry mouth. I have to control my angry eyes. I have to control my angry hands or, you know, bribing hands or bribery receiving hands, something like that, or lustful eyes. I need to control, control, control. You can't control the externals. You have to really kill the internals. What is the root cause for the externals to react is what you need to find out. And that's why Bible always prescribes that the inward man will have to be renewed. Inward man will need to die of the past and be born to the future. right or a new born again creation in the lord where is it written and i think uh one corinthian second corinthians 5 17 second corinthians 3 17 where there is spirit there is liberty from all your sinful deeds then you have you know i've been born again i'm a new creation all things have passed away we all sing that song right so you know the meaning of that is you and i will have to go to the renewal process go through the renewal process in our spirit in our mind in our thoughts which is all happening inside of us. And the externals will get automatically aligned, will get automatically fixed. Yeah, this is the difference between the psychiatric treatments versus what treatment is prescribed in the Bible. Bible always prescribes the treatment, renewal process within us, cleansing process within us, reformation process within us, transformation process within us. Nothing is to do with externals. Externals will fall in place. That's why Jesus rebuked the Pharisees. Hey, you are focusing too much on traditions. Washing hands, sitting down and rising up and all that. The methods and patterns, which is all unnecessary. Because that will fall in place if you had been fixing your internals. For anger proceeds from the heart and it gets transformed and converted to murder. The external world, the worldly people will focus on the murder. Whereas the spiritual people will focus on the anger that is within us. The lust which proceeds from the heart will get converted to prostitution or adultery. In the external world, the world will condemn them, stoning that lady or men to death, yeah, because they committed prostitution. But Jesus says, I insist you to focus on the internals. Matthew chapter 5 verses 22 to 30, if you take and read, you will understand. Very important commandments, Jesus, very important principles, Jesus left behind. All right. It's exactly what he's trying to say. My Father in heaven is trying to say, I'll give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. New covenant standard I already explained, right? how you can acquire that. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of sorry, heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I'll put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statue and you will keep my judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave you to your fathers. You shall be my people and I will be your God. Do you understand this? 1 Corinthians chapter 3 you can take and read. for your body is the temple of God and the spirit of God dwells in you. For I have taken away the stone, the heart of stone and given you the heart of flesh upon which I have written my commandments. You can read in 1 Corinthians. And the same thing he is saying. Then you are eligible to walk inside the territories of God. To walk inside the peripherals of God. You cannot claim verses like Matthew 4, Malachi 4.2 that is healing under the shadow of his wings and I am hidden under the shadow of his wings I can grow like end calves and no disease or sickness will overwhelm me No none of this will work Because why You are not standing in the borders of God You are standing in the boundaries of the devil That the difference, you know. That's why some people, no prayer works. No fasting prayer works. Why? Because they are standing in the boundaries of the devil and they are praying in the name of Jesus. It will never work. You need to check on your territorial, you know, the peripherals where you are standing. Is it within God's boundary or is it externally to God's boundary you are standing. That's exactly what has been written down here. And I will deliver you from all your uncleanness. When are you delivered from your uncleanness and sicknesses and diseases? When you are in the land of God. When you are walking and abiding according to the laws and commandments of God. When you are following this law of obedience which is inscribed in your heart. And I will call for the grain and multiply it and bring no famine upon you. Is there a drought? Is there a famine in your life? Right? All that you earn just goes off as medical bills and all credit card bills. I don't know brother, I receive my salary on first and on fifth. Everything is gone and bankrupt. Famine, right? Because the devil is playing a role in your life. Saving is a blessing. Are you not able to save money? Are you not able to save anything? You are always in problems, continuous troubles, whichever direction you turn, people are really there to pounce you. Of course, Christian life is all about battlefield, living, walking in the battlefield. I'm not surprised about it. But there is an assurance given to a Christian that you and I can overcome. You and I can win battles victoriously. But if you are not able to do that, then the problem is definitely within you. You got to fix it. You got to renew it. And that's very, very important. Verse number 30, with that we close. and I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations. For the first time you hear the word called as fruits. Fruits is plural, right? But the fruit of the spirit is singular. But within that fruit there are nine flavors. That is why it is very, very important to understand Galatians 5, 22 and 23, the nine flavors, joy, love, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, self-control and all this you will find, right? This kind of, you know, fruit bearing tree, you and I will have to be renewed and transformed is what God is striving for. So next time when you face any kind of trials or problems in life, definitely check on your internals. What is wrong in you? Therefore, ask God for his mercies. Ask God for his guidance. If required, may God even chastise you. Proverbs 15, 10 says that if God would fail to chastise me, correct me, I will die. You will die spiritually. Correct? All of us will be physically dead and gone one day. But dying spiritually happens much, much before that. And after you are dead and gone, whether you are alive spiritually or dead spiritually, will determine your destination after death. There are only two destinations. Number one, heaven. Number two, hell. You will either go here or there. If you are spiritually dead long, long ago, your destiny is definitely the lake of fire, hell, place of torment. But you are spiritually alive, rejuvenating in your spirit, renewal of your spirit. That's why Jesus always spent time with his Father in heaven. He would never ever forget to have that fellowship with his Father in heaven. Even after a long day ministry, he would always make his way to the Mount of Olives. And he would spend the whole night there. Many times he slept only for a few hours in two days. 48 hours continuous ministries and prayers. Why? Because he was more focused in the renewal of his spirit. in the refreshment of his spirit, in the transformation of his spirit. Well, for Jesus, there wasn't a need for transformation because he was always in the renewal process. But people like you and me would have forgotten the importance of renewal. Therefore, we need to renew and we need to transform. And transformation will ensure consistency, right? Jesus was a very consistent person. consistency in prayers and his mannerism, behavior, the words of his mouth, you will see he is very consistent. You will never see he is slipping down there. One day he was behaving well and the other day he was having mood swings. You will never find all that. Why? Because his spirit was always renewed.
