Eternal Life

Definition

Eternal life is the everlasting life with God that Jesus gives to all who believe in Him. It is not only unending life after death, but a new quality of life — knowing God — that begins the moment a person trusts Christ (John 17:3). Eternal life is God's gift, secured by the death and resurrection of Jesus, and includes the promise of resurrection and a future with God in a world made new, where there is no more death, mourning, or pain.
