Hey everybody, welcome to Classic Cinema Magazine. This is the Treasure Hunters Report. And this is something that I wanted to do for quite a while and I decided to do it today. But for those of you that maybe are watching this video, maybe you're just starting to have that desire to start collecting media. Maybe you're digital. Maybe you like the digital stuff. Me, as you can see behind me here, this is just a small portion of the immense physical media that I own. I've been collecting for probably most of my life, and so it is jam-packed up in my house, filled with physical media. But that's kind of the fun of it. You know, for people like me and some of you, we're never going to actually be like Indiana Jones. And right behind me, over here, is the Indiana Jones collection, the complete movie series. You can see it right back there on the shelf. It's on the display because it's one of my favorite series. So it right there as you can see the Indiana Jones box set And we never be Indiana Jones We never going to go searching for the Ark of the Covenant We never going to search for these type of things But for people like you and me maybe we get the adrenaline rush out of searching for media, that movie we've wanted forever. And we finally get it and there's that adrenaline rush. Well, I want you to understand something for those of you that don't do this. Maybe you just wait to find it at your Walmart or you find it online or whatever. That's fine. But I'll tell you something that you need to do if you've never done it before, and that is this. Search out your pawn shops and go to your Goodwills. They are filled with awesome stuff. And today I'm going to show you some awesome finds that I've got over the last several years. from just going to pawn shops. I've got a lot of stuff at the pawn shops, and I'm not going to go through everything because if I went through everything, we'd be here forever. So I'm not going to do that. I'm just going to look at some of the best stuff that I've picked up at the pawn shops here recently. This one costs $3, and it is the Kevin Costner four-movie set. On this collection, you get Robin Hood, you get JFK, you get Wyatt Earp and The Postman. Now, I will say, first off, JFK is a good film. It's okay, but there's loads of profanity in it. And I'm not a big fan of that type of stuff. So that's kind of more or less a throwaway for me because I just don't like all that profanity. But anyway Postman is pretty good A lot of people give that a lot of grief I actually like The Postman It was pretty good actually And I always wanted to get Robin Hood Prince of Thieves so actually I picked that one up there on this collection And actually my tastes have changed over the years to where I'm starting to enjoy westerns now. Unbelievable. But anyway, so yeah, I got Wyatt Earp there as well. So even if you take and you don't count JFK, if you just count the three that I got there, even if you just did that, that's only a dollar movie, not bad at all. That's at a pawn shop. Okay, I am a huge fan of the X-Files. And behind me back here, I have my X-Files collection. I figure I'll go ahead and show you. We got season one. We got season two. We got season three. We got season four. And we got season five. Now, as you can see, the last two on this collection are on Blu-ray. That's because I got a really good deal about that. And so I got the first five seasons here. I haven't got the rest of them, right? Actually, I had a pawn shop here recently. I found season six and season seven. Now, I will say that they did have season eight and nine, which would have completed it, but the problem is you do have to check the media. You go and you check every single disc, make sure they are all in good shape. These two seasons were amazing great collection great stuff good buys there was no scratches They all played perfectly And these were a season So that's 22 episodes on each season and $2 for each season. That's not a bad deal. Now, season 8 and 9, I checked them out. Completely scratched. Terrible. so I didn't pull the trigger on those because I'm not going to spend $2 for a coaster or a bunch of coasters. But I did pick up these, so I got up to Season 7 of X-Files. So really, really cool. You can find awesome deals if you're willing to hold off and go for the hunt.
