Hey guys, and welcome once again to a classic cinema magazine treasure hunters report. This of course is Pastor Jay here with you, and we're going back to goodwill and showing you some of the cool stuff that we picked up over the last couple weeks at our local Goodwill. I love going there because there's a lot of awesome stuff you can pick up for on the cheap. Really, really, really inexpensive. And we got some pretty good stuff. So we're going to jump right into it and share with you four things that we picked up at our local Goodwill for really, really inexpensive price. I'm a big fan of the classics. I love classic films, those old films with the classic actors such as Bogart and Bacall and Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant and all these different ones. Well, one that doesn't get a lot of talk a lot of times, at least from our channel and a lot of other channels on YouTube and different people, is a man named Charles Lawton. Charles Lawton was a great, great actor. And Charles Lawton actually directed one of my favorite films, and he only directed one. It was critically panned, and it really was a box office failure. And he decided at that point that he would never make another film again. If you go and re-watch it, you will find that it is probably one of the most amazing films ever put to film. I mean, it is spectacular. and that film is The Night of the Hunter. But anyway I like Charles Lawton a lot Charles Lawton is known probably best by maybe some people for playing the Hunchback of Notre Dame but he was a great actor played many many roles and for only two dollars, brand new, in the package, wrapped up, never opened, I got this. This is Charles Lawton in Rembrandt. This is the story of the great artist Rembrandt, and this is starring Charles Lawton as Rembrandt. I've never seen this film. I'll be honest with you, I've never seen it, but for two bucks, I couldn't pass it up. How can you pass up a Charles Lawton film for two bucks? Can't do that. I mean, especially brand new in the packaging. Oh, that's great. So yeah, I'm looking forward to checking this out. Rembrandt, brand new, Two bucks? Yeah, that's a pretty good deal. We went at the Christmas season, just finished up Christmas season here, and we went to our local Goodwill, and it was the day before Christmas, Christmas Eve. And I picked up several DVDs, a couple, anyway, or three, during the Christmas season. And I was really surprised. They were having a sale, normally $2 for DVDs and normally $3 for collections of DVDs. This was on sale for $1. You're going to be shocked about this. this is a whole collection for one dollar actually actually ninety seven cents on this here six movies laugh out loud six movie collection now these are by no means are these the most spectacular films of course not but it was ninety seven cents how do you pass that up you got the witch with will Ferrell you got Beverly Hills Ninja with the late Chris Farley you got Jim Carrey in The Cable Guy you got Mike Myers in So I Married an Axe Murderer you got John Leguizamo in The Pest, and you got Steve Morton in Mixed Nuts, and this was only 97 cents. How could you pass that up? This also came with the digital copy of all six films. Unbelievable. 97 cents. That's unbelievable. So yeah, I had to pick that up. All right. Never seen this one. I've never seen it, so I'm looking very forward to check this out. This is Ricky Schroeder, probably best known for playing in the TV series as a young child, young kid, Silver Spoons. But Ricky Schroeder and this film, kind of a civil rights type film. This is Blood Dunsan Mani I've never seen this I've never seen it so I don't know if it's any good I don't know, I've never seen it I'm looking forward to checking it out though Looks very interesting, I checked out the trailer The trailer looks pretty intense, pretty amazing So I'm looking forward to checking this one out This was only 97 cents Yeah, I'm not complaining Then finally, something that I've always wanted to watch but I never got a chance to, just haven't had the time. It was on television one time, I think it was on Turner Classic Movies or one of the movie channels or something, and I had set it up and I was like, okay, I want to watch that, and I never got a chance, I mean, time flew by, forgot to set the record for DVR, and it passed and I forgot about it, and never got a chance to check it out. But it was on sale for 97 cents. I never thought it would ever be on DVD for 97 cents. And when I saw this, I was like, I've got to pick it up. I love Motown music It really kind of cool But I never thought this would be on DVD to where I could pick it up for cheap Oh I had to pull the trigger on this one This is The Wiz, the movie, for 97 cents. You got Diana Ross. You got Nipsey Russell. You got Michael Jackson. You got Richard Pryde. This is basically the Wizard of Oz in musical format from Motown Records. Unbelievable. Artists. I love it. Never thought I'd get a chance to check it out, but there it is. 97 cents. Do you like The Wiz? I've never seen it. I'm looking forward to checking it out. Do you like The Wiz? Let me know in the comments. Do you like Blood Done Sign My Name? I've never seen that. I don't know. Do you like any of the six movies on this collection? Or are you a fan of Charles Laughn? I don't know. Let me know what you think in the comments below. and I want to encourage you, go out to your local Goodwills. You do have to check out the DVDs sometimes. You've got to jump in there. You've got to open them up. You've got to check them out because sometimes they are scratched up really good. But if you get one like this, brand new in the packaging and it's only $2, pick it up. It's great stuff. Definitely go out to your local Goodwills. You never know what you're going to find.
