Hey everyone, welcome once again to Classic Cinema Magazine, the Treasure Hunters Report. We have been telling you about in this series about going out and getting some of that physical media. We're never going to be that amazing treasure hunter Indiana Jones, as you can see back here on my shelf. I got the Indiana Jones collection, the complete collection. I love it. But we're never going to be that. We're not going to be Harrison Ford. We're not going to be out there doing all that, searching for the Ark of the Covenant. But we can search out for that great media. I love physical media, as you can see, just a small sampling back here just a small sampling this is not even close to the amount of stuff that I have this is just I've been collecting most of my life so this is just a probably in a 16th of what I have what you're seeing back here but we love to go and search out physical media and we do not pay retail price we pay you know cheap prices and something we like to go to is to the Dollar Tree and you know where you're getting there and we like to go to Big Lots. We're going to say Big Lots for the last but we do have some really awesome stuff that we picked up at the Dollar Tree. Iron Man Armored Adventures Volume 1. This was only a dollar. That's why I took a chance on it and just tried it because it was a buck. You get six episodes on this collection. You You get Iron, Forged in Fire, Part 1 and 2. You get Secrets and Lies, Cold War, Whiplash, and Iron Man vs. Crimson Dynamo. This is kind of a different take on Iron Man. This is basically Iron Man as a teenager. It's not great, but it was a buck. Six episodes. Not bad. I'm not complaining. I took a chance on it. And it's okay. The animation is okay. The stories are okay. Nothing overly spectacular but hey it was a dollar so I took a chance. Alright. Also found at the Dollar Tree couldn believe this the complete TV series of Olympus a buck Again not a tremendous series nothing out of this world or anything but it okay Alright, also at the Dollar Tree, I love classic TV, as you all know. Love classic TV, love classic movies, and it doesn't get much more classic in the medical field than Marcus Welby. This is pretty cool. This was a buck at the Dollar Tree, and this is the best of Marcus Welby, M.D. This is actually 10 episodes for only a dollar. Now, you've got to take into consideration 10 episodes for a dollar. What does that come down to? Ten cents an episode? Yeah, that's not bad. I'm not complaining. Also, another thing at the Dollar Tree that is really cool that we picked up, and it is only a dollar, I love classic police shows, and it doesn't get much more classic than Dragnet, I love this, this is Dragnet, the best of the 68 season, or volume 1 if you will, of the 68 season, and that's 10 episodes, only a dollar, Again, $0.10 an episode. How can I complain about that? I'm not complaining. Love that. All right, now another store we go and check out sometimes is the Big Lots. And Big Lots has good deals a lot of the time with their shows like, you know, you can get movies for like $3, Blu-rays for sometimes $3 or $5, depending on the Blu-ray. But we like to wait a little bit because Big Lots eventually will put their stuff on sale. So yeah, we usually wait But this is one that was just so good Brand new, still in the package Still wrapped, never been opened Never previously viewed or anything like that And it was not a bad deal at all So we pulled the trigger on it It was too good to pass up Only $3 And it was this It is a three movie laugh pack This has Parenthood, The Great Outdoors and Harry and the Hendersons for only $3. That for three movies a dollar a film I couldn pass that up Plus it had a digital copy of Parenthood if you like Parenthood Wasn a real big fan of Parenthood after I watched it but it okay It is what it is. If you like Parenthood, that's great. I wasn't a big fan of it, but that's me. Liked the great outdoors and loved Harry and the Hendersons, but yeah, Parenthood, not so much. But anyway, only three dollars, a dollar a film, yeah, couldn't pass on that. So, yeah, definitely worth checking out your big lots for that. Yeah, you never know. But I like to wait sometimes to get the deals. They'll begin to put the things on sale. And if they don't sell after a while, they'll start putting them on sale, putting them on clearance. And I got two that I am so excited about. Love classic movies. the old classic stuff, Lucille Ball, love Red Skelton, love Gene Kelly. Hmm, yeah, so why not a little Dewberry Was a Lady? Yeah, this is really cool, there you go. That is Lucille Ball, that is Red Skelton, and that's Gene Kelly in Dewberry, Barry Was a Lady. I actually got to see this for the first time when I bought this, Actually, this is a cute little film. It's really fun. It's a musical comedy, and it's a lot of fun. Red Scalton is his typical fun self and crazy self, and Lucille Ball is typical Lucille Ball, and Gene Kelly is that suave, debonair dancer. Just a really fun little film. It has the music of Tommy Dorsey and his orchestra. Unbelievable. Just a great little film. Now, what do you think I paid for this? Not a bad deal at all. $1.50 on clearance. It was $3. They put it on half price sale for only $1.50. So I had to jump at that one because I love those classic films. And who doesn't love a little Lucille Ball and Red Skelton? I love it. All right. Dewberry was a lady. Only $1.50 at the Big Lots. Unbelievable. Then something that I've always wanted to see, but I haven't, I haven't, I didn't pull the trigger on it because I wasn't sure how good of a film it was. I wasn sure if I was going to enjoy it And I seen it for like I seen it for like And I was like I just don know This was at the Big Locks for quite a while And that was Immortals Now, Immortals, this actual DVD here was at the Big Locks for $5 originally. I sat there and I said, I'd like to see it, but I don't want to pay $5 because I'm just not sure about it because I haven't seen it and I don't want to pay $5 for something that I'm not sure about. So I just said, nah, I'm not going to do it. So I waited a little bit. They put it on half price. It was only $2.50. And I sat down and I was looking at it many, many weeks and I said, I just don't know that I want to pull the trigger $2.50 for a film that I'm just not 100% positive about. And so I waited a little bit longer. It went on half price yet again for only $1.25. So I said, $1.25, I'll take a chance with it. Not a great film. Not something overly spectacular in my opinion, but a good action film. Not bad for a buck 25. So there you go. There is a lot of really cool stuff at the Big Lots and the Dollar Trees. If you just wait and you just hold off, you can find some awesome stuff. If you just hold on, be that treasure hunter. Wait for the deals. You never know what you're going to find. All right.
