Greetings Classic Cinema fans, this is Baxter J back with you once again with another Treasure Hunters Report. Today we're looking at more stuff that we have been picking up since the ban has been lifted where we're living and we're able to get out and check out some of the stuff in the stores. Today we're looking at some of the hauls from the Dollar Tree and the Dollar General. Yeah, and a pawn shop. So a lot of mix here, but some really, really cool stuff. We're going to jump right into it. From a pawn shop, this has been getting a lot of, in a lot of controversy, but it's a very good film. It is Gone with the Wind. This is a very interesting film, getting in a lot of controversy, a lot of stuff going on and people hating on it and stuff. And I can see why. I understand it, but it is historical. It's a historical piece of cinema, and it deserves to be seen. It deserves to be looked at. It deserves to be saw. Is it historically accurate? Probably not. I'm not saying it is, but it is a historical film and it deserves to have a place in cinema. I mean, just because things are of a different era doesn't mean that they don't deserve to be seen. Just a disclaimer, just something to let us know that, hey, this was of a different era. It should be seen. And so this was pretty cool to get to pick up a copy of Gone with the Wind for, I think it was like $3, so not bad. Pretty, pretty cool. Gone with the Wind like that. Okay, also, something we've been picking up is picking up some stuff from Dollar General because they had a sale on things, so it was kind of cool. This was only I think just about is what this ended up being because of a sale And this is News Radio Season 1 and 2 Very interesting little series at Starz The late, great Phil Hartman is in that film, or this series. And so anything Phil Hartman is definitely something on my list for the simple reason that he's not doing anything else. So this is really interesting. This has 22 episodes. It basically costs probably around $2, so not bad at all for this series. Unique. I'm not saying it's a great series, but it's a unique series. I love the idea of WKRP in Cincinnati, one of my favorite TV shows. This takes place in a radio station. I'm a radio DJ. I like to have those type of things because I engage with that because of what I do for a living. I'm not only a pastor, but I'm also a radio DJ, so that's pretty cool to see stuff like this. So news radio is really, really cool and glad we got that for basically $2. Something that was just $3 and was really, really interesting is this, Conan the Destroyer. now Conan the Barbarian is a little bit shall we say not the cleanest of films there's a lot of stuff in that that is objectionable because for Christians and people that moral people you don't want to be seeing a lot of the stuff that's in there it is a little bit off but Conan the Destroyer is a lot cleaner it's violent yes but it's got a lot of good action and good stuff. And so this is definitely one I wanted to add to the collection. And we'll see why I wanted to add that in just a little bit when we look into the Dollar Tree finds because there's something really, really cool that we got there. So that was pretty cool to get Conan the Destroyer. We'll hold on to that because something very interesting is coming. We went to the Dollar Tree and picked up some stuff and some animation. This is Tom and Jerry The Giant Adventure This we actually have checked out This is um These are not the classic Tom and Jerry by no means but these are the new Tom and Jerry cartoons And they're unique. They're okay. They're pretty cute. I like them. I think they were pretty good. But nothing takes place of the originals, of course, but it was kind of unique. And it's basically Tom and Jerry and their take on Jack and the Beanstalk, if you will. So kind of a unique little film. So, yeah, definitely something like we got to check that one out. Another take on Tom and Jerry of a classic, and that is this Tom and Jerry and Robin Hood and his merry mouse. So this, of course, is Robin Hood and their take on Robin Hood. Really kind of interesting. This actually comes with some bonus cartoons as well. So that's pretty cool. But, yeah, this is the original movie. We say movie, but these two are about a little less than an hour. So they're not really what you call full-length feature movies, but they're movies. But, yeah, that one was pretty cool for only a dollar. Then we got a couple of Scooby-Doo's. Scooby-Doo Chill Out. Very, very cool. That's the original movie. This actually is 73 minutes long, so a little more of an actual movie for Scooby-Doo there. But pretty cool. No real bonus features on this, but hey, it was a dollar. Then there's Scooby-Doo Stage Fright. This one is 78 minutes, and you get some bonus episodes of the original Scooby-Doo Where Are You, which is Never Ape an Ape Man and Don't Fool a Phantom. so those are included on there, which makes a really good bonus for this, so I was really happy about that. So, Scooby-Doo, yeah. Then we got something that I still can't believe we picked up at the Dollar Tree. This was shocking. The Magnificent Seven Collection. Now, check this out. The Magnificent Seven. The Return of the Magnificent Seven. Guns of the Magnificent Seven and the Magnificent Seven Ride All four Magnificent Seven films for a dollar That's unbelievable. That's like 25 cents a film. That's unbelievable. I could not believe when I saw this. I was like, you've got to be kidding me. So definitely really, really cool. The Magnificent Seven collection. Oh, hard to believe. All right. Then finally, this one was another one that I was just shocked about, and that is this. Look at this. A dollar. Conan the Adventurer Season 1. This is a Shout Factory release, which is anytime you can get a Shout Factory release for a buck, you're winning. Because Shout Factory is expensive stuff. And this one was only a dollar. That's why we picked this one up. Because, hey, it's Conan. You know? So we got Conan the Destroyer and we got Conan the Adventurer. This is the cartoon series. Very interesting. Yeah, so there's like 13 episodes in this and this was only a dollar. Unbelievable. The audio and video quality of these are really, really cool. Really a good, good collection of stuff and I'm glad we got those. So those are just some of the stuff we've been picking up here on our recent hauls. we'll be doing another one of these videos very very soon we want to remind you to go to classiccinemamagazine.blogspot.com every single day we appreciate it we got a big announcement coming up very very soon about Classic Cinema Magazine and we want you to follow us on Facebook Twitter and Instagram at TheRealPastorJ be sure to like, share and subscribe to these videos we would really appreciate it and until we see you next time this is Pastor Jay reminding you that if you want to see a great film check out a classic.
