Greetings, classic cinema and TV fans. This is Pastor Jay here with you today, and we're talking the top seven Alfred Hitchcock Hour episodes. This is going to be really fun. Alfred Hitchcock Hour was the second TV series of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, if you will. He had a half-hour show, which was Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and then he transformed and kind of changed it, and it became the Alfred Hitchcock Hour. We're talking about just the Alfred Hitchcock Hour episodes here, and so let's jump into it with number seven. Found in season one, season one, episode four, is I Saw the Whole Thing. This deals with a mystery writer named Michael Barnes who is accused of causing a fatal motorcycle accident with his car. Well, there's many different witnesses that come into the court and they tell their story. Yet every time, Michael Barnes seems to pick apart their testimonies and they find that it just doesn't hold up. That is until they finally bring forth a witness that says they saw the whole thing and what all transpires there. We're not going to tell you about that because it spoiled the whole thing. But it is a very, very interesting and very, very tense, dramatic presentation from the Alfred Hitchcock Hour. And what makes this one really a must-must-see is because this episode was the final episode of Alfred Hitchcock directing in the TV series. So that is very interesting in that aspect. This also in season one is an episode entitled The Long Silence It season one episode 25 and it all about a paralyzed woman who terrified that her husband is going to find out that she recovered from her being paralyzed. And the whole thing of trying to keep that secret and the tension and all this type of stuff, it really is a very, very good episode. It is one that really should be watched like many of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour episodes, but this one is really, really good and you should check it out. In season three in episode 28 is an episode entitled Night Fever. And Night Fever follows a young defendant severely wounded by the police during a robbery, but he fears for his life while he's in the hospital, and he pleads with one of the nurses to help him escape the hospital before he dies. It is a tense and a really interesting, thrilling episode, and it is one that is really, really good. Acting is great. Everything is great. This one is a very, very good tense episode, and it's one that all people should watch, at least once. In season two, episode six, we get nothing ever happens in Linvale. What an amazing episode this is. Very low key, but very tense and very interesting. It's all about a sheriff's investigation of the disappearance of a wife of a man who's been acting very, very suspicious. and all the stuff, all the drama, all the tension, everything builds to a crescendo and it is a very, very amazingly good episode. It is one that all people should check out of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour. That's why it lands number four on this list. From season three episode 17 this one is an unlocked window Talk about tents Now this one really is tents. There's a serial killer that's loose in the area, and some private nurses have locked themselves into their large house, into this large house. Well, except for the basement window. And what transpires is a thrilling and amazing episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. It is so thrilling. It's tense and it's amazing and it is definitely one to check out. That's why it lands number three on our list. This is season two, episode 17. It is entitled The Jar. It's probably one of my favorite episodes of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour. It really is. It's quirky. It's funny in a way, but it's really eerie. And it all deals with Charlie Hill. Charlie Hill is a farmer that's kind of mesmerized by this strange jar that is at a carnival sideshow. So he decides to buy this jar from the owner, but his wife cannot stand it. She's threatened or frightened by this jar, just by the looks of it. No one knows what's in it. It just looks strange. And what ends up happening is that Charlie becomes a local celebrity because he ends up owning this jar. and all the stuff around it. It is just a very fun and quirky and really interesting episode of Alfred Hitchcock Hour. That's why The Jar lands number two on the list of the top seven. And finally, landing number one on our list of top seven episodes of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour is The Final Escape Season 2 Episode 18 Just one episode later They got one of the most thrilling episodes and one of the most amazing episodes of Season 2 A convict of a state prison work camp plans a clever escape.
