Greetings, classic cinema and TV fans. This is Pastor Jay here with you once again. And today we're doing part two of the top seven Alfred Hitchcock hour episodes. We had so much fun kind of delving into the old Alfred Hitchcock shows and all that we thought, you know, there's so many great ones. We could do another top seven list. So we're going to do another top seven right now, right today. Let's jump right into it. This is episode 29 of season one. It is entitled The Dark Pool. The Dark Pool is a really interesting episode. It takes place as an adopted son drowns in the family's pool. Suddenly, a strange woman arrives claiming that the boy is her birth son and proceeds to blackmail the adoptive mother and what follows is a really interesting and really strange tale but it is a very very good one and it is one that is pretty well acted and well directed and that's why it lands number seven on our top seven. This is The Lonely Hours season one episode 23. It is a really interesting episode when a mother of three notices that her baby son kind of fancies the lady that is renting the room in their home. She finds herself not too happy about this. And what's she going to do about it? It's a really interesting tale. It is one that probably everybody should check out, I think, because this one is really interesting. I think it a fear of all mothers that their child would seem to gravitate towards someone else instead of themselves It a mortal fear and Hitchcock tapped into that and it really is a great episode That's why The Lonely Hours grabs number six on our top seven. A Lonely Place, season three, episode six. It all takes place on a family's farm, and a poor, loving farmer's wife discovers just how evil a hired hand is and how much of a coward her husband truly is. This is a really interesting, dramatic presentation. It has a lot of interesting storyline to it and a lot of tension and really is a great episode. It should be checked out. It is that good. It deserves number five on the list. Magic Shop, Season 2, Episode 13. This is one of these ones that holds a real special place in my heart. I don't know. It's kind of unique and I like it a lot. A little boy vanishes in a magic shop, and he comes back later with supernatural powers. and kind of evil intentions. It's really a unique episode. It's just something special. It's really strange, supernatural, all kinds of good stuff that you love from the Alfred Hitchcock hour. It really is a good one. That's why The Magic Shop grabs number four on the top seven. A Home Away From Home. This is season two, episode number one. And this is a really, really strange episode. A patient in a mental hospital kills the head doctor and takes over his personality and replaces the staff of the hospital with fellow patients Talk about the inmates running the asylum Wow this is unbelievable Now this all sounds well and fine right But there a fly in the ointment because the head doctor niece is coming to visit What are they going to do? It's a very interesting episode. It is very well acted and directed. And the story is just so stellar that that's why it has to come in at number three on our top seven of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour episodes. Bed of Roses. This is from season two and episode 29. A married man finds his beautiful mistress murdered and flees without reporting it, only to become a victim of blackmail. That's why you've got to be sure your sins are going to find you out, according to what the Bible says, right? It's true. And this is really a very, very interesting episode. Bed of Roses, it's tense. It's heart-pounding, it's thrilling, and it really does make you think. It is a really, really good episode, and that's why Bed of Roses comes in at number two on the top seven of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour. This one is from season three, and it's episode one. It is The Return of Verge Likens. really this is a very very awesome episode of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour after his father is murdered by a politician who gets away with it a young man becomes determined to get revenge will he get revenge? will he get away with that revenge? what happens? well you'll have to watch the episode to find out Return of Verge Likens is a very, very tense and very good episode of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour. And that why it gains the number one spot of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour Top 7 Part 2 Yeah we done two of these and we could do many many more I not saying we won and I not saying we will but those are some of our favorite episodes of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour. Alfred Hitchcock was an amazing director, probably one of my favorites. His movies are tense, thrilling, amazing. They're great, and I love them so much. And I love the Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and I love the Alfred Hitchcock Hour as well. Just great, great programming. And if you've never seen anything Alfred Hitchcock, I do highly suggest checking out some of the movies and some of the TV shows. What makes the Alfred Hitchcock Presents and the Hours so amazing is that Alfred Hitchcock himself introduces and exits out these episodes and he has a real dry wit to him and it really makes those a lot of fun to watch.
