The Prophecy of the Bible For nearly 2,000 years, there's been a short prophecy in the Bible which has aroused a lot of interest. The prophecy itself includes a special instruction stating that anyone who wants to acquire wisdom should pay special attention to it. This prophecy relates to what is called the Mark of the Beast. For most of the past 1950 years since it was written, the Mark of the Beast prophecy was just so incredible that hardly anyone believed it could ever be taken literally. After all, it was saying that a day would come when the entire world would be required to get something called a mark put in their body, and it would become impossible to buy or sell anything without that mark. In other words, the entire economy of the world would be controlled by this little mark in the bodies of people everywhere, rich and poor alike. It would function in the same way that money has functioned since the days of the Babylonian Empire. You want to buy something? You show or use this mark in some way. You want to sell something? You show or use this mark again. Buy food. Sell a house. Put fuel in your car. Pay your electricity bill. Put something in the offering plate at church. Catch a bus or train home from work. Get your plumbing fixed. Invest in stocks. All of it would be impossible without this mark. But with it, you could do all those things and more. This lovely little mark of the beast. Now, because it seemed so impossible for all the business transactions of the world to be controlled to that extent, people started making up alternative interpretations of the prophecy. The prophecy said that this mark would either be in your right hand or in your forehead. So that became the first part of the prophecy to come under attack. With a few clever words, in your hand, could be changed to become virtually anything you have ever touched. Your forehead could be anything you have ever thought about. It could be something as innocent as your name. For more than a century now, people have produced various forms of identification on cards or other objects which they hold in their hands. And you remember your name in your head. So maybe just having a name is equivalent to being the mark of the beast. Or maybe having your name on some kind of identification. Various other forms of technology have come under suspicion. Television might be the mark of the beast alcohol or even caffeine might be the mark of the beast One branch of the Christian church went so far as to teach that the day on which you go to church is the mark of the beast. As you can see, by this stage, the right hand and the forehead no longer held anything more than the most remote relevance. The mark could be anything. When I was 12 years old, I used to go to the YMCA on Friday nights and get a stamp on the back of my hand with a type of ink that was only visible under a special light. With that stamp, I was allowed into the Y's big swimming pool, after which I could go into a dark hall and watch The Big Story on a 21-inch TV along with a bunch of other boys my age. I knew nothing about the Mark of the Beast at that time, and so it never crossed my mind that I may have been sealing my fate for all eternity. That is the scariest part about the mark of the beast. You see, the prophecy goes on to say that anyone who gets it crosses a line from which they will never be able to return. Well, at least it sounds that way. Their soul will be eternally lost. The undiluted wrath of God will be poured out on everyone who takes the mark. So it is pretty important to get this one right. Now, I got through my YMCA days more than 60 years ago without undue guilt over having that stamp on my hand, mainly because I've never heard of it. But the second part of the prophecy is that this mark will be used to buy and sell. Without it, no business transaction of any size could be done. It was truly unbelievable. Too extreme to even fathom. Nobody could control every purchase in the world, and especially not without some form of money. So that part of the prophecy was pretty much left out altogether as people came up with more and more bizarre interpretations. Anything was fair game. The mark of the beast could be telephone poles, or microwaves, or the English language. It could be Calvinism, or democracy, or chicken soup. You name it, and it would only take a little imagination to create a link that would declare your designation to be the most evil thing in the world. And then you could spend your life warning the world against it. Chances are that somewhere there would be a link to money or hands or to the thoughts inside people's head associated with whatever you come up with. That is the way so many people operate with regard to virtually all Bible prophecy. You make up any theory you like and then, if you're a good talker, you do a little tweaking here and twisting there and you'll be able to sew together some world event and a word or a phrase in the Bible somewhere thus convincing the unsuspecting that you are a Bible expert But what if there really was something that could go into your hand What if it could actually be put in or on your forehead too in the event that you had no right hand And what if all the banks in the world decided to cooperate together to make it the official replacement for all money, everywhere? What if it contained some kind of magical power, like a personal electronic bank account for each person wearing that mark. And what if the mark could be swiped, just like we do with bank cards now, every time you spend or receive money? Nothing would need to change hands. Just numbers going into a huge supercomputer somewhere in the world. Numbers in your bank account would instantly go up or down with each transaction. It could all be done instantly and electronically without any cash changing hands. I know, it sounds incredible, doesn't it? Like people have often said, the Apostle John must have been high on drugs when he wrote it. Totally off his face. It's just too unbelievable. But just for a moment, please indulge me and imagine that such a thing could be possible. Suddenly, this totally unbelievable prophecy from the Revelation, written almost 2,000 years ago, would become literal. And the warning that went with it, about anyone who accepts that tiny little implant being cursed by God, would become frighteningly real. The implications would be horrifying. But, of course, that is exactly what is happening in the world of banking today. The governments of the world are racing through the final adjustments for just such a world economy, one which, if we are to believe the rest of the prophecies, will eventually be overseen by one single world government, whose leader is the devil incarnate. The mark will be his mark, and everyone will become his slaves. But where are all the Christians at this most important time in world history? Where are people of faith shouting out warnings to the rest of the world about the unforgivable mistake they are all so close to making? Where are they? What are they doing? Why is no one sounding the alarm? Would you believe that everyone who was supposed to have known about the prophecy got sidetracked along the way and started talking about some other fake mark? a mark that they said would become a precursor to the real thing? Please, brothers and sisters, can you hear me? We don't need a precursor. The technology for the real thing is here already. And you have been deceived. Deceived by the coming world ruler himself to throw everyone off the scent. The devil has started a lie that has spread around the world. and he did not even need something bad with which to do it Instead he chose one of the most helpful inventions in recent years just as his way of flaunting his total control over his servants Ruled by hysterical fear, they chose something that could literally save the lives of people all over the planet, and they became so obsessed that many of them are literally going to their graves, shouting curses on the antidote for one of the evil weapons that the enemy of our souls has himself created. They are shouting that the antidote is the mark of the beast. May God help us! Almost all of the professing Christians who had been telling themselves that they would never be deceived into taking the real mark of the beast have fallen perfectly in step with the ruler of darkness in promoting fear of a fake mark of the beast, something which is, in fact, a badly needed healing medicine. Now, you might ask, how could he ever get professing Christians to be so gullible as to believe such a lie? Well, it isn't hard. Most of these people have never even read the prophecy. All their lives they have let other people tell them what the Bible says, and they have been manipulated by fear and by false hopes. Itching ears, the Bible calls it. They have heaped together fake teachers who will tickle their ears until the day they die. But it's not too late. It won't be easy to turn now and swim against the flow, but it is possible by the grace of God. We saw it coming decades ago. We are a very tiny army of Christians who have been preparing for this day for many years, learning to live outside the system, learning to hear the voice of God's Holy Spirit, but most of all, learning to read the teachings of Jesus in the four Gospels and to act on them. Jesus said in the 12th chapter of John's Gospel that His teachings will judge the world in the last days. Those days are here, and all your false prophets and false teachers, fake apostles and hirelings for pastors have never taught you the things that Jesus taught.
