Welcome to Classic Cinema TV fans, this is Jason Locker, Pastor Jay here with you once again bringing you another Silver Screen Spotlight here on Classic Cinema Plus. Today we are talking about brand new releases from Kino Lorber Studio Classics and we're talking about Bob Hope, probably one of the funniest comedians of all time. He was, he was just so amazing. Um, here at Classic Cinema Plus Studios, we have, uh, so many, uh, Bob Hope releases. It's just crazy, uh, because he's one of our favorites. Uh, he really is. And, um, just, just love Bob Hope stuff. And, uh, you know what? Kino Lorber has released, several Bob Hope films and this month for the month of February yes, the month coming we are getting two brand new Bob Hope releases and guess who's excited? This one right here. That's right. We are getting not only one but two. We're getting Mosheer Boquer and Where There's Life. love this so very much uh first let's uh talk about where there's life uh this is this pretty pretty cool tagline where there's life there's hope uh i always thought that was pretty pretty cool but um bob hope stars in this film where there's life and in this is william bendix another amazing comedian and actor. Did a lot of things. Not just comedy stuff but dramatic presentations film noirs and stuff Really a great great actor But he in this as well Basically this film is about a radio personality a radio actor if you will, named Michael Valentine. Now, Michael Valentine, all is well and fine in his life, until a king of a faraway land is murdered, and they come to find out that he is the heir to the throne, and then everything goes wild, of course. You got Bob Hope here being the heir to the throne of this kingdom, and you've got spies and kidnapping and death plans and all kinds of stuff. Plus he is engaged to be married, and the cop played by William Bendix is the brother of this woman that is going to marry Bob Hope, and he's putting the pressure on him. When are you going to do this? Just everything goes crazy, and it is a very, very fun little film. And I am so looking forward to checking this out on Blu-ray. Pretty cool. We have it in DVD format. Now it's in Blu-ray format, and that is so much better. A very fast-paced film. It really is. It's only 75 minutes long, so it's really fast-paced, and it really has a lot of punches, a lot of punchlines, a lot of the fun, and a lot of those Bob Hope one-liners, and it just makes it really, really cool. So, yeah, looking forward to this On Blu coming in February where there life there hope That Bob Hope And then of course we get Moshier Boquer Now this one is Bob Hope in a period piece type of film from way back in the day Here he is the barber for King Louis XV. But he is an inept barber. He just continually finds himself doing stupid things and getting himself into trouble. And finally, King Louis XV has had it and decides to send him to the guillotine to be put to death. Well, he is rescued from this guillotine and is whisked away to the court, the Spain court, Spanish court. And there he begins to have new life until he ends up doing something stupid again and ends up in trouble and in hot water once again. And wow, just another one of these films where it's just funniness continual over and over and over and over and over to where you're just laughing at all times. I'm so excited to see Moshe Boquer on Blu-ray and the interesting thing with this is this is from a brand new 2K scan so this is going to be awesome can't wait to check this out as with all Kino Lorber Studio Classic releases you get some trailers Bob Hope trailers and the theatrical trailer for Weather's Life pretty cool. Just love it. It is going to be very, very cool to check these out.
