Compassion is a key aspect of Jesus' character.
Jesus' compassion led him to heal the sick and afflicted.
We need to have compassion for others and show love like Jesus did.
Easter is a time to reflect on Jesus' compassionate love and sacrifice.
Welcome to Brighter Day. We're sending up an Easter message again. I was compelled about this and prayed. This sermon is going to be on compassion. Compassion is, I think, one of the main things about Jesus was so great. He had so much compassion for other people. You know, through the stories, through the Bible, we see the compassion of Jesus as the sick and the inflicted people. He had compassion and healed people. His love, you know, as he entered the city, he had compassion on all the people and he wept over Israel. and we just love talking about Jesus' compassion. It has been, sorry about that, it is so good and so great of his compassion because if you're not compassionate about something, it's like your life is drained. You don't have nothing in you, you know, and Jesus had that compassion for people. You know, when God built the world, right, he was compassionate about it. When he built man and woman, he had compassion because everything is about compassion, about the spirit of Jesus. His love, as you look behind here at this scene, it's Easter, right? let me move his mouse out of the way but we look at the crosses and we see the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made and why did he do it Because he was compassionate about his love toward us You know it is such an amazing time when Easter comes. Because it is all about the compassionate love of Jesus Christ. You know, when he sacrificed himself on the cross, It was all about a compassionate love toward us, you know. We look at the stripes that he took on each time that that whip came across his back. He was thinking about somebody, and that somebody is you and me. He looked through time. Each stripe that was made on his back, Each time when the crown of thorns was placed on his head, he was compassionate. And he surrendered himself fully on a cross. No man took his life. He laid it down freely. Each hand taking a spot and putting his feet together and a spot. The compassion and the love of Jesus saved our souls from hell. And if we don't have compassion and love for Jesus who saved us, If we don't take time out for Easter and go and be with our families and love our families and have compassion. I mean, we need compassion. We need it We need it back in our world We need love and compassion Look through this Bible right I may have a little problem with my glitter but anyway I talking about through the scriptures You can turn to each page, right, where Jesus was healing people. He was compassion, right? It is such a great opportunity to share with you. today we're looking at Matt and Mark right as Mark he heals this guy alright he heals this person they lure him through a ceiling he had problems he couldn't walk he was born that way but the people had compassion enough right that Jesus was surrounded by people. They couldn't get him to the house, so they had to take him up on the roof, right? And they busted through the roof and lowered him down, and Jesus heals him, right? He says, take up your bed and walk out of here. Your faith has healed you. And it was not the faith of that man that got him there. It was the faith of his friends that had compassion on this man that took him up on the roof, that got him down through the roof to Jesus. And Jesus had compassion and love and healed him and said, Take up your bed and walk. You know, we need people who has compassion for others. You know that what needs to be in our world today Is during Easter This Easter Right Let have compassion Let's have the heart of Jesus. Let's have it in our heart. To have the love and the compassion. To give to others. Because that's what Jesus did for us. Is that compassion. That love. we've lost something in the United States and it might be through the whole world and we love to point the finger at others Bible teaches judge not we should have love and compassion for others as Jesus did and that's why I wanted to deliver this sermon today to you is to have that burning love and compassion in your heart and get out and show people what really is Easter. And that is the love of Jesus in a compassionate way to others. So I hope this message is going to be a blessing to you because let me tell you, there's enough hate in this world to go around. we need the love and the compassion of Jesus Christ back in our hearts for others because that's why the world is the way it is so thank you for listening to me let's end in prayer dear Heavenly Father we just thank you so much for your compassion and your love for other people for everybody on this world because you came Lord and you died on an old rugged cross for all of us on this world. And you did it by your compassionate love. Thank you, Lord Jesus. In Christ's name we pray. Amen.
