Trusting God in Times of Crisis: Isaiah 31:1-3

God allows trials and temptations to test our trust in Him.

Our character is put to the test when we face problems and difficulties.

We must put our faith into practice and use spiritual weapons to fight against the devil.

God wants to see how much we trust Him and depend on Him in times of crisis.

Hello my dear brothers and sisters, a warm welcome to one and all of you and I greet you in the name of a loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It's always a pleasure to meet with you through these sessions and I want to thank God for His mercies. I hope you are all doing well, doing great, but even if otherwise you are inflicted with this Corona or some other problems, job losses, disasters and so many problems, do not worry because bible says jesus said that in this world there are troubles but do not be afraid the peace that i give you is not the peace that the world offers because whatever the world would offer is going to be temporary but whatever you extract from god and from his holy presence is not temporary is permanent and not just that god is faithful he will not let us down he's definitely going to ensure that he finishes things in style for you and he is faithful god all right a warm welcome to the short series where we are dealing through a very very important uh subject and to many of you um these short sessions are very useful is what i hear as feedback from many of you and i really really want to keep it going and it really really costs this lot of efforts right we have to prepare these videos we have to take care of media uploads and many things and we want you to benefit so share it with your friends and relatives today we are going to talk from isaiah 31 and verses 1 2 3 will be our meditation verse now isaiah is a very very heavy lifting book and it's a prophetical book to many people but many people forget it's also very good book that has been inspired and written by the holy spirit through holy spirit isaiah wrote down. It's not just a prophetical book. It is also an inspirational book. It's also a book which gives us a lot of principles and doctrines, which is something that we need to consider as well. And that is the reason we have come up with one doctrine. The title of the doctrine is folly of not trusting the Lord. Folly of not trusting the Lord is exactly what has been written here. What actually it means is, folly means foolishness. Many people, they don't trust God. They are called as atheists because they say that God is not there because of that, what is it, white galaxy or big bang theory. The white galaxy got formed and there are a lot of floating elements and all that. Some people go by Darwin's theory. They say that, you know, man has come out, the origin of man was monkey and from monkey he evolved and he became a human being. I'm not talking to such people live with your theory no problem and you will discover how big it is it was a foolishness on that white throne judgment when you meet god the father who created you who created me you will understand what a big crime it was to call or to make that statement i'm not talking to such people i'm talking to the believers in christ christians you may belong to any congregation any denomination no problem but one common fact or one common thing that most of the christians have you know definitely tend to talk is they never would say that they don't trust in God they never would say that God is not there God is definitely there we trust in God God is almighty God is powerful God is wonderful God is miraculous and God is they give so many names right who heals our sicknesses who takes care of all our needs who is God with us and who gives us the judgment who forms from nothing to something great Egova Mekathis who is giving us the holy deeds, so many Egovas Egova means immediately don't think in a different way, father's name right, there are several names for the father Ebenezer who helps us, Emmanuel God who is with us, Isaiah 9.6 right, we all sing a song that Emmanuel Emmanuel who is with us, you know, God with us and he will never let us down or forsake us but where your belief is put to test is not without a trial, is not without a temptation is not without a problem in your life and God permits it. Why? Because that is when your character is put to test. That is when he will get to know how much you trust God, right? God will need to understand how much you depend on him, how much of confidence you have in him. Are your doctrines clear? Is your conscience clear, right? Or are you only just, you know, having that as a theory but not put to practical? We all came from college and universities, correct? it is not all about theoretical subjects but those theory is going to put into you know practical tests that is why you have chemistry labs physics labs and biological labs and this and that right where you will have certain sessions you will be given certain puzzles and you will have to demonstrate and show practically only then you are going to be awarded with that degree you are a graduate right otherwise you are not a graduate if you say I am all good in theory for example medical doctors you say all good at theory but i will not operate a person but you want to call yourself a surgeon nobody will agree you will end up killing multiple people right and even it will not be approved by your college neither are you a person because why it also questions college reputation and even if you pass out of the college you know as an actor you know somehow you manage to clear the lab sessions you will get caught with the real-time environment where you you will start to kill multiple people, the government authorities will come and arrest you and it is a big problem for even the college. How did you certify such a person as a doctor? Similarly, if you call yourself as a person that is Christian, believer in Christ, I know all the laws and commandments I am water baptized long ago I have accepted Christ as my savior I am born again believer this and that But if your belief is not put to test your confidence is not put to test your trust in God is not put to test then you are not a certified Christian. Like how you are not a certified doctor without you operating a person or you have to be a practicing in-house, right, as a doctor. And then only you are going to operate certain surgeons or you are a dentist. You got to really go through some training process and then only you can open up your cleaning. there is certain limit for that, right? Similarly, God will definitely put you to test. Why? Because it is for your benefit. Only then we will discover whether you are foolish Christians, whether you are blindfold in certain circumstances, right? Because life is full of experiences. Life is full of trials and temptations which are allowed by God. Why? Because we are living in this world and the world is being the ruler of the earth is devil and anything and everything that the devil brings is not for our good. It is only to destroy us. It is only to kill us. It is only to murder us. It is only to bloodshed. Amidst of that, how much you trust in God and use those spiritual weapons, Ephesians 6, 12 to 19, gospel of peace and shield of faith and breastplate of righteousness, helmet of salvation, armor of God, the word of God. How much of it do you use to fight against the viles of the devil? God is allowing such things to test your trust in God, to test your understanding on the promises of God. How much you are trained, how much you are equipped with that knowledge to fight as a soldier. If you are a soldier, you have been given all the weapons, AK-47, missile, grenades, pistol and all that. But you don't know how to use it. Why? Because you know only theory. You have seen the picture. But all the practical sessions, when you are gone through field training and all that, somehow you are acting as if you have learned it, right? It never happens in military because the military officer will ensure that you are trained well. But say you even somehow made that military officer believe that you are all good. And now you go to the battlefield and there are two, three enemies coming. You have all the weapons right in front of you, but you don't know how to use it. You don't know how to fire at your enemy. Or even if you were to fire, you don't aim properly and fire. By the time you missed that one bullet, ten bullets will come and fire at you and you will be killed, unfortunately. And this is called as what? Foolishness, right? you got all the opportunities to learn. You have all the weapons given in your hand. And there are enemies coming right against you, to fight against you, to confront you, to kill you. And yet you are killed because you have no idea how to use these weapons. You have not equipped yourself with that knowledge, with that practical training. Who are you? Bible calls you as a fool. That's why the title is nothing but the folly of the foolish, sorry, the folly of not trusting God. From that concept, I am extracting various practical principles and doctrines. Therefore, you understand this better. Now, Isaiah 31, 1, 2, 3. Let us read and we will meditate a few things. What to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses who trust in chariots because they are many and in horsemen because they are very strong, but who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, Holy One of Israel nor seek the Lord. There is a saying, right, in Psalm 29, I think, 27, I think. Psalm 20 verse 7, some trust in chariot, some trust in hearts, but we trust in the Lord God of Israel. Now, why this chariot, why this hearts? Because at that point of time, chariots were like helicopters or missiles or what else to say, you know, the aircraft. which fighter jets fighter jets that was like chariot you know those days you know they didn't have all these you know fighter jets and aircrafts and all that chariot if you are coming it is like fighter jet right so people whoever had the chariot their trust was in chariot horses were like missiles or the bullets which are being fired horse it has a capacity to fight the fight against enemies carry you to the battlefield and horses will never be scared of battles that's why that animal is very very important god uses at least you could have an attitude like horse that you horse never gets intimidated no intimidation at all that's why you can trust the horses and you can tie up a chariot on its back and you will be able to march into the battlefield why because this horse is one important character it will never backslide it will never take its foot backward it once it decides to go again fight against the enemy in the battlefield horses will never be scared of fire it knows how to jump over the fire and go horses are very courageous the most courageous animal is horse more than lions you put lion inside a battlefield looking at the fire it will run away although he is called as the king of the forest but this fellow will get into intimidation but horses are literally you know very very courageous and that's why God compares at least you could learn that from horse it's in the Bible right now people trust in the chariot people trust in the horses why because both are equally important for a battlefield now if you're a Christian your walk against the devil is like walking in the battlefield every single day he's going to fight against you he's going to find ways to pull you down pull your pull your trust down shake your confidence and somehow you know shake your faith he will permit situations or make you fall in lust he knows the weakness of your flesh and he's going to consistently fire bullets and attack you right but your trust is in chariot your trust is in horses not on the god in today's world in the new covenant standard what is this horse what is this chariot bank balances your job some people love wife more than god some wives love more husband more than god please don give that place of God to some human being or some people They love their bosses anything their boss say jumping into the well without knowing swimming also they will do no you can do that Of course don't do that if you don't know swimming you are not such an idiot to jump into the well and kill yourself, right? It's committing suicide. So you don't have to get into that. So you're not such an idiot, but even otherwise You cannot give that place of God to a human being. They may have various designations they may be your officers they may be your you know senior lead at your workplace whatever at the same time your trust cannot be on your bank balances your trust cannot be on the materialistic deeds why because every material every money every single rupee there are chances it may perish right one a natural disaster COVID came you see how many you know businesses have been shut down and they become bankrupt people lost job people who are in their top positions they have they were kicked out why because there was no job opportunity for them because the company is going through tremendous loss right but there is one god who is always sustained who is always going to live as he is he's mighty he's powerful he's omniscient he's omnipotent he's omnipresent nobody can shake his position he is definitely called as the king of kings and the lord of lords regardless of any situation and that's why he's saying put your trust in God, not on anything else, not on materialistic deeds, not on another human being, impossible. If you are a Christian and you are doing this, which means your identity is not this Bible, the word of God, your identity is someone else's theory, someone else taught you, you got to be here, you got to be there, you got to trust in God, at the same time you also have to put trust in men, agreed, but then the trust in men cannot dominate the trust in God, right? You trust in men because the God whom you trusted is asking you to trust in that man. Why? Because he is an ambassador of Christ. God is going to appoint men to come in favor of you, to come and help you. In the times of situations, I mean the situations when the times where you are being completely let down by the known people, some man, some women will come from some direction and they will say that I will help you today. And who is sending such a person? It's God the Father whom you trust. Have you gone through such situations? I go through the situations almost every other day, right? People who might trust and ask for help, they will say, oh, I have no time. I will call you. I will think about it, this and that. But at the time, I will not know what to do. And I will be asking God the Father, I trusted you. I have come to you for help. And I know that you are going to not let me down, not forsake me. Because your Bible, the word of God says, your promise says, Hebrews 13, 5, that you will never let me down. With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19, 26 says, as I would be meditating suddenly I'll get a phone call or somebody rings the bell or somebody sends me a mail hey I will take care of this and all that I'll be amazed why trusting in God will never let you down God will never fail you right God's love is so imminent unconditional and it will reach out to you for help but it depends on your attitude if you give that place of God one among several people for example nine people whom you trust and God is tenth or God you trust in the as the first person and nine other people you trust and equate with God, then you know, God will never be someone who will take that alternate choice. No, that's not God. You need to give him that prominent place. You will have to give that dominant place. You will have to always trust in him and not share the trust with other people, right? And equate him with other people as ordinary God. No, sorry, that's not the God, whom, which the Bible is preaching, right? And nor seek the Lord, right? And Isaiah 31.2. Yet he also is wise and will bring disaster and will not call back his words, but will arise against the house of evildoers and against the help of those who work iniquity. This is very important for you to understand, right? God is very wise and will bring disaster and will not call back his words. why he is doing this sometimes god allows lot of disasters lot of tragic events lot of sicknesses lot of diseases lot of problems in the midst of the family and it will disturb your peace it will disturb your mindset you will get it you will end up in depression and disaster as a christian born again believer you know why he does that he loves you that's a simple reason he wants you to come back to your senses and start switching your focus from point a to point b Point A was worldly things which I explained already. Point B is godly deeds or you know moving away from the world related principles, the worldly doctrines all the way to godly doctrines and God's ways. Until you switch your focus from point A to point B, God will keep permitting. Something is wrong in your life, you can be very sure. Yeah, definitely it is coming from the evil forces, through evil forces. The demonic hosts are fighting against us. but never forget the fact God is the one who allows God is the one who is allowing all of these things and for what these are the two questions you need to ask it is coming from where the answer is it is coming from God why because he allows it he is not a tempter he need not tempt anyone and number two why is he allowing that the reason is definitely very simple that he wants to switch your focus from point a to point b let your focus be up to God those who shall look into my face, their face will be like radiance and shame will not cover them. Bible says in Psalms 34 5, right? Those who shall commit their ways and trust in God he will bring it to pass It means any disaster any problem any job losses any poverty problem any disease any sickness he will bring those to pass And that's called as Passover. The day of Passover, the distracting angel was commanded by God when he sees the blood over the lintel, he shall pass over and he will not be allowed to destroy such a family or such a person. Why? Because they are covered in the blood. And according to the new covenant standards, you and I are hidden under the blood of Jesus or you and I are under the grace of Jesus. And when you have accepted Jesus, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess. That is a simple identity which will protect you. That is a simple shield which will protect you. And the destructing angel will pass over. The demon will pass over. Until you realize that, God will keep allowing things. Until you switch your focus. Until you have accepted Jesus wholehearted, holistically. he will never step back and you know what that's the good news you and i have why because god loves you god loves me and he wants us to repent he wants us to reconcile and come back to him in fullest threshold some people partially they trust god fair-weathered christian all goes well oh praise god hallelujah nothing goes well immediately they will be bad-mouthing god they will become grumblers murmurers and more disasters will come because why the more you grumble against God, you're giving more room for the devil. You're enhancing the platform. You're widening the platform for the devil to bring more disasters. So don't get into more sinful deeds. Right? And that's why and but will arise against the house of the evil doers and against the help of those who work iniquity. Why? Because God is faithful. He will be watching over you. The moment you realize that you're wrong and you rush to God for help, he will rise against the evildoers. He will rise against the evil forces. He will bring all these demonic forces down to ground and he will crush the head of the Satan right under your feet. Romans 16, 20. From old covenant, I am taking to the new covenant. You are able to connect, right? And verse number 3, we will read and we will close. Okay. Now, the Egyptians are men and are not God. This is exactly the point you need to know. The evil forces are just demons and God is, I can't even compare. He trillion times powerful or bigger great reason within us than that is in this world there is no way you can compare a little amoeba with the biggest dinosaur no way correct no something like that I gave a crazy example but God you can't compare him with anyone especially not with demons he's a fallen angel how can you compare God's power with the fallen angels for some powers are being given allowed by God why because he that's the challenge he had with God you give me the same powers or little power I will see to it that none of the people are on your side and that is fairly true 99% of the people are in his side you go around and see there are a lot of people who are demon worshippers only in the form of entertainment in the form of religion in the form of culture in the form of this and that they will have their own lame excuses there are very few people on the side of God correct no but amidst of that there is small portion of people they are called as minorities they have made a choice always to stick to the side of God they have made a choice to always trust in God that is you that is me and we have understood that love of the father who sent his only son although We were sinners. He sent his only son to be destroyed and to be laid as a sin. He was brutally murdered, killed. And he was stripped naked and made to hang in that shameful state. And Jesus allowed. Jesus accepted all this. Why? Because in whose name, whoever shall trust in his name, they will never be let down. You understand that? Because he purchased you and me for a price. Right? When whoever believes in my name, they will not be put to shame. Romans 10, 11 says that. And you and I need to understand. And God is not going to spare your enemies. Your enemies are not blood and flesh. The principalities and powers of darkness is Ephesians 6.12. Right? And not God. And their horses are flesh. And not the spirit. See, now Egyptians are men and not God. And their horses are flesh and not spirit. Not the Holy Spirit. Okay? Who is your helper and he is powerful. He was overing over the earth and taking care of the whole earth single-handed. So, don't count this Holy Spirit as soft, tender and all that. He is powerful. He knows how to resist your enemies. when the Lord stretches out his hand both he who helps will fail and he who is helped will fall down and they will all perish together if God stretches his hand the guy who had been helping you nobody helps without any motive all men have fallen short of glory all of us have this selfishness in their flesh and they help why because they want some favor in return they will fall down you will get to know their true colors and at the same time who had been fighting against you also will fall down because why god would have chased them and kicked them out you will see the power of god being revealed you know what a supernatural experience is that that is why today i'm requesting you as your brother my sister my brother listen to me make the choice always to trust in god rely on god depend on god rush to god and his presence in the name of jesus and as you are being inspired by the holy spirit may you do the right thing right and that's why i'm strongly emphasizing that the word of god tells that do not end up as a foolish christian do not end up in foolishness just like many christians have fallen down because of situations they do not know how to handle and bible is giving all directives how to handle god bless you take care subscribe to our channel get access to all our playlist and you will get automatic notification if you subscribe do not miss on any videos we are teaching from the Bible, these are only going to help you.
