Greetings, classic cinema and TV fans. This is Jason Lockhart here with you once again, bringing you another flashback Friday. Yeah, we are excited about this. This is a new release from the good folks at Film Chest Media Group. Love this so much. um this is i love science fiction okay uh science fiction movies science fiction tv shows all that type of stuff uh science fiction comics and novels and all that i just love science fiction it's one of my favorites and uh so this was a really cool release that um film chess media group was releasing and i was so excited about it and i was like yes i gotta see it and we're talking about the complete TV series, including the original pilot of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World. Wow, is this awesome or what? Yeah we talking about a complete TV series Look at this Three DVD sets of all three seasons 66 episodes 12 DVDs Okay, so if you've watched The Lost World, one of the many Lost World pilot or movies that have been done over the years, you know sort of what The Lost World is. It's a group of explorers that are trapped back in time into a lost world where there's dinosaurs and giant monsters type things and all kinds of different things that they have to try to survive. And it's really interesting. So this is – I love this. I've already watched the pilot episode, the pilot movie, if you will. And, yeah, we're off to an amazing start. I love it. It's going to be pretty cool. I actually didn't see this when it was first on the air, so I'm watching this blindly. I've never seen it, so this is going to be pretty awesome to witness it. As I watched the pilot, I was like, this is pretty cool. There are a lot of practical effects which I love practical effects much more than CGI but there is some CGI too because you have big dinosaurs so you have to have some CGI CGI is not terrible It not terrible but of course you do have to take into consideration This series was from 1999 to 2002, so yeah, we were still doing okay with CGI, but we hadn't hit the, um, the seamlessness of, uh, CGI at that point. Uh, so, uh, it was pretty good, uh, seeing the big T-Rex in the pilot, um, was, uh, it was, it was okay. It was, it was pretty good, uh, for clear back 20 years ago, uh, over 20 years ago. Um, but, but I, I'm just a fan of the practical practical effects. So there was some practical effects, um, and, and all, and I, I enjoyed that. Um, but this is going to be pretty cool. Uh, I'm looking forward to checking out the Lost World because, um, and seeing all of these episodes, um, pretty awesome. So, uh, every season it gets, uh four discs Okay Every season gets four discs Okay And uh you get 22 episodes spread across four discs Pretty cool Pretty good quality I sure At least the pilot looks pretty good quality for what it was And, yeah, so 22 episodes each season and four discs. So we're looking at quite a few episodes to get through. Yeah, and it's going to be quite the adventure. So I can't wait to check it out. Already the pilot is done.
