[0:00] Welcome, everyone, to today's message on overcoming bitterness with forgiveness. As Christians, we've all experienced bitterness at some point in our lives, whether it's due to hurtful relationships, past traumas, or unfulfilled expectations. But the good news is that we don't have to live with bitterness. [1:30] In fact, the Bible teaches us that forgiveness is the key to overcoming bitterness and anger. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus says, 'For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.' This verse reminds us that forgiveness is not just a feeling, but a choice we make. [3:45] So, how can we choose forgiveness and release bitterness from our lives? First, we need to acknowledge the hurt and pain we've experienced. Then, we need to pray and ask God to help us forgive and release the bitterness. Finally, we need to study the Bible and learn how to apply forgiveness in our daily lives. By doing so, we can experience spiritual growth and live a life free from bitterness.
