He's saying, 'If the Lord had not been on our side, let Israel say, if the Lord had not been on our side, when enemies rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us up whole, alive.' [3:45] But David's not just stopping at expressing his trust; he's also giving us a call to action. He's saying, 'We have escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped.' So, let's learn to trust in God's providence and sovereignty, and let's grow in our faith with Psalm 124.
