Understanding the importance of running the race to win, not just expecting God's blessing.

One of the things that was resonating with me is the fact that right now most of you know there's Olympics going on, right? So if anybody who goes into Olympics, do they come out with a medal? no why you have to win you have to come first see the problem today is we as Christians have this idea that just because I keep doing something automatically I'm eligible for God to bless me a lot of people told me if you keep doing ministry for 40 years automatically your ministry will get established. But I'm not here to announce to you that's not how things are. You know what the Bible says in 1 Corinthians chapter 9 verse 24. If you want you can put it up so that people can read it directly. Yeah that's good. Do you not know that those who run in a race, okay that's there all right, all run but only one receives the prize. Run in such a way that you obtain it. This is what I I want to tell you guys today. It's wanting to pray. It's wanting to believe. It wanting to fast It wanting to wait upon the Lord It wanting to wait for God timing and His purpose and everything of those things in your life with regard to your dreams your promises your visions your goals and His promises over your life All that is true but you have to understand there's also an element where you need to run in such a way that you win. Turn to your neighbor and say, run to win. The theme I want to talk to you about today is don't just run, run in such a way that you win. The problem today is a lot of Christians are offended with God, are angry with God, are depressed and lonely and all the negative feelings about it is because they're saying, why isn't God doing something in my life? Why isn't God answering my prayers? Why isn't God showing himself up in my life? But I'm here to ask you this question. Are you ready to receive the miracle that you've been praying for? Are you really ready to receive the breakthrough that you've been hoping for? Are you really ready to receive the prize? do you really deserve it? I can just keep praying, God, please help me get the first rank. Help me get the first rank. But if my content is not as equivalent to the standard of the first rank, then I can keep praying, but God cannot bless me and help me get there. You cannot keep praying, help me get the first rank in my school, but if you say, I'm not going to study, I'm just going to pray, your answer is not on the way. but that the same principle in life people keep praying God give me money but if you not faithful with what you have now how can God bless you with more If you do not know how to use the wisdom of God to make wealth with what you have, make use of everything. The Bible says in the book of Proverbs, you know, the diligent make use of everything they find. But are you using everything God has given you? So there are so many things you need to look at with regard to how you can actually win the race. Amen? See, one more example I can give you. Luke chapter 1, verse 1. Many people have set out to write accounts about these events that have been fulfilled among us. They use the witness reports, eyewitness reports, circulated among us from the early disciples. Having carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I have also decided to write a careful account of the same. So, now you may think this is such an arbitrary phase from the word of God, a passage. What I want to share from you. Here's the thing. Many people wrote, that's what it says. If you see in Google or if you see the study, they say there was something around like 72 gospels. Okay? Like gospel of we know the four that are canonized and are presented in the word of God Gospel of Mark Matthew Luke and myself John So if you got the anyway so uh the four gospels are there but here the thing you need to understand there are so many gospels there was gospel of thomas gospel of judas there's gospel of mary there's there's so many they say there are around 72 gospels so 72 people wrote okay we they may be even more than that but let's say 72 people wrote, but only four got selected. So what you realize is, just because you write, doesn't mean that you're going to get selected. Just because you keep doing something, doesn't mean you're automatically obligated to receive the breakthrough that you want. You need to do it in such a way that you receive the breakthrough. You need to do it in such a way that you get the miracle. I mean, this morning, another surprise for me, as I was just waiting for the second service, there was this, an Indian national, what is that, motivational speaker contest, and out of the blue, they selected mine for the next round. They said out of 50,000 contestants in the secular thing, 250 people got selected, and I was one of them, and I was like shocked. So, here's the thing. It's one thing to just post expecting and waiting on God to give me, to get selected to the next round. But what if you should put your effort to stand out from the rest of the people? Run your race in such a way that you win.
